The most salient reasons I can't stand U of M fball program and their fans is their false sense of entitlement to Championships, the outdated line in their fight song that defies humility, ie. "the leaders and best???????", and their departure from Bo's once strong philosophy of Team first...other then that it's a great University. Everyone needs to eat crow and face brokeness once or twice (or in Michigan's case), three times or more in a season of their lives. Humble thou selfs M fans.

No, Michigan was NOT healthy. Michigan wasn't healthy for Appalachian State the game before either. That App game was the only time I ever heard Lloyd Carr make an excuse for a game. He's not the type to make excuses and if you look back its pretty clear they were banged up. I think the bigger issue was the hangover from the loss to app state because despite the record this was a very very good Michigan team. Look what they did to Tebow in the capital one game when they finally were healthy.

I'm not saying Michigan would have won, BUT I think its fair to say that the injuries and the letdown the week before probably had an EFFECT on the team. I don't think Oregon could have been THAT much better than Michigan especially considering the fact that I believe that Michigan team might have been better than the NC team in 97.
