@Kritoci if you want lightweight i would go with the macbook pro. ifyou want one that is better overall go with the Alienware. they both have great grapphics cards, but the Dell has a better one.

I just bought a Dell XPS 17 3d fully loaded with every available option for what this thing costs but for some reason i decided to get a Macbook Pro17 as well. Apple has a quality not even Dell can match and i really like the OS X Lion. Dell for work Apple for fun and photos.

You can find much cheaper (1/2 of the price or even cheaper) laptops with the same or even better specs. That's a fact, but I prefer the macbook for its quality build. As much as I'd like to get one of those, I just can't go over the looks.... it looks elegant alright BUT to me at least it seems as if there's too much unused space. The 13" model looks awesome since the keyboard fits it perfectly, Apple kept the same sized keyboard here, used extra space for speakers. I don't know if it's the color or something else but it just doesn't look as nice to me unlike most people it would seem :/

@midtown292 I think you are confusing "quality" with made out of a metal rather than plastic lol. In my opinion laptops made in plastic make more sense, especially for as much heat mbp's put out. You dont want hot metal sitting on your lap. And you can run mac's os on a pc, its not legal or easy to do so...but a lot of people do it.
