@chonisn Kinda depends. There are some gameplay differences between the versions.

DS version has the augments, but the GBA version has a long bonus dungeon.

PSP version has the After Years in the collection.

PS1 version is pretty much the SNES version with a lot more loading

Remaking it would require reconstructing the enormous content of the game, and then there'd be arguments like "they changed this so it sucks" or "it's exactly the same"

Remaking the game would be a high-stakes, high-reward gamble for SE.

@unusualROX123 game mechanics, it is, but not every one wants to change classes, but its a cool option. Story wise no, story wise it is a bit on the boring side. I played it since the 90's on the SNES all of these. Each to there own, but IV was a deeper game.Mechanics, each to there own.

I want 2D back! Why can't it be 2D, but with very clean sprites!? Thats modern! I want the old experience back! FFIV created the best fight system for Final Fantasy and then they turn to shitty FFXIII! All that is, is grind to a high level, then only use auto attack to buff, change roles, then use auto attack to attack. No real strategy.

@blablabla4637 Because this battle is a ''Survive for X numbers of turns.'' style. In these kind of battle, quicker enemies means that thier turn comes faster.

@143rdShadowARCunit At some point of the game (and my favorite one as well :D) Cecil needs to become a Paladin,the polar opposite of a Dark Knight,to refuse being controlled by Zemus (who is controlling Golbez),and to prove to Mysidia elder he is "friend" now.

Remember the start of the game,when they stole the Water Crystal? It was from Mysidia...

PS1 wasn't a remake, it was a re-release with CGI vids in the beginning and end. This is a complete remake, the first time it's ever been done. Definitely not a waste, for those like myself who want to play one of the classic final fantasy stories but find it difficult to cope with the old 8-bit graphics.

Yah instead i got final fantasy XII revenant wings. i'm thinking about getting the whole series for playstation (except final fantasy III cause the only version i can play is only for DS), playstation 2, and playstation 3 (i have a playstation 3 80 GB backwards compatible). if you're going to get them on the playstations, take my advice and don't get any installments prior to FFVII. FFVI, V, and IV all were terribly releases, with load times just to access the menu screen.

I know the situation. When he becomes a paladin he does like 10 damage. Fight some of the big flyers with thundara and thundaga. They give muuuuch exp. But without magic you won't be able to beat them.

(The flyers appear more often when you are NOT in a forest.)
