I did a very in-depth Myers/Briggs Hogwarts House analysis over the summer which actually explains why they don't match up perfectly. As an ENTP, you have 75% of Slytherin's traits and 50% of Gryffindor's traits, so it still makes a lot of sense that you are a Gryffindor. As you can see, I have a lot of time on my hands. I can never really be sure if I am an INFP or ENFP. I have loner ish tendencies and the fact I am introspective to the point of ridiculousness, but still score ENFP at times and have what I call 'extroverted mood swings'. It does not always match up though- I'm sure sure plenty of NT's would be very Ravenclaw esque. Couldn't imagine only NF's filling up Ravenclaw tower. By the way, great video! The origins are really interesting, and the parallels with the Hogwarts houses are great. Now I know why Pottermore put me in Slytherin when I thought I was Gryffindor - people tell me I am choleric-sanguine, so there you go.

You aren't a contradiction. You can be sanguine-choleric or other combinations. Phlegmatic & choleric are opposites, as are sanguine & melancholy, so if you claimed to be sanguine-melancholy for example, then you could say you were a contradiction - it means you are "masking" one of those types, due to circumstances or experiences. Florence Littauer wrote a book about this called "Personality Plus" which explains it better than I have here, you should check it out if you haven't already.
