Great graphics, love the character creation. The PVP system is a major fail. Getting the best gear requires you kill the other faction which in turn encourages major ganking and griefing. I think they originally had 12(?) servers but now are down to five.
@jaybird321 actually 8 european and 5 american servers are still up and running. Ganking however with 2 or 3 players doesn't decrease the ap received by 1/2 or 2/3 but with a lot more. So single pvp is the way to go. And the pvp system is a lot better than WoW's. You can have gigantique battles than a WoW server can take in. The dredgion (PvP instance) allows only groups of 6. And there isn't such a skill like on my rogue that allows me to take in 100k dmg and survive for a minute -.-

i got bord on Aion after about level 16 i think me and my m8 played it and well alot of the quests are the sam and there isnt reely a endgame which kinda makes it abit pointless after a wile if is good to look at but meh thats why u have Xbox 360 and PS3. the lvl i have to say is good i like the hole flying thing its dose not give u as much freedom as other MMO's e.g. world of warcraft and the game dose not have the same level of depth in spells and talants but thats porbly becuase its so new :D

what i am talking about is computers have so much more capability they are not limited by the hardware of when it was released... PS3 and Xbox360's Hardware is stuck back in 2006 but with a computer you can upgrade with time Computers will always be ahead of the curve when it comes to graphics and gaming :)
@xXPlagueDoctorXx still the cost for a pc at the same level as any ps3 is a lot of money and with consoles its normally the programing of the game its self being able to adapt for better graphics you saw it with the ps2 the early game did not come close to the later ones what it came to looks and it did not cost you more.
@riskofwar Your looking at about a thousand dollars for a GOOD PC, now if your wanting a TOP OF THE LINE PC your looking anywhere between 2000 - 3000 bucks (I have a dreambuild on newegg that costs about 4500 dollars though!)

@riskofwar My current build has 2 1gig video cards in it, each costed about 120 USD... I've never even seen a video card (other than the ones they use to benchmark games at companies) that costs 300 usd (unless it's like a same day launch, which usually sucks anyway~) They need a few months at least to work out errors in the drivers etc... just my 2c though!
Aion starts off good but later on it blows. PvP is too carebear with little risk of dying. You lose AP, wooo big deal. Lag in fort raids are so bad, it's unplayable.
whattt PvP is too carebear? AIon has some BRUTAL stuff going on, the gladiator looks like he should crush everything in 1 hit with some of those skills and mages actually look like theyre nuking stuff, instead of shooting practically a blue square (icebolt in wow). This game is the next generation of MMO's its not perfect, but its only been out for like 3 months, wait til it gets a few patches in, itll be even more amazing. Just my 2 cents :P

Of course MMOs are going to take elements from others, your probably a world of warcraft troll so you gonna dis on every other game but WoW stole aspects from Everquest and Final Fantasy XI, every MMO steals from the other MMOs because ppl want those aspects plus more. Aion has the best graphics in any MMO besides Age of Conan and for the first 25 levels its probably the most fun MMO i have played, unfortunantly after that it dies but if people enjoy playing it why tear them down?
I played 3 betas and for a month after released but I couldnt handle the grind, for the first 25 levels its an amazing mmo, unfortunantly it goes past lvl 25.
Aion is an outstanding MMORPG. I was apprehensive at first about trying out another new mmo, but this one proved to be up there with my favorite mmos in the past... What's even more exciting is the future of it, this game is already outstanding and theres even more to look forward to. I'm extremely pleased with this game.
I stopped at level 28 I think, dunno what "they have quest for a reason even has to do with what i said" but who cares, the game sucked, like a ferrari without a motor. I'd rather play guild wars and drive a ford.

there are 6 Payments options 3 are similar to wow's 15$ a month or year.Or you can do pay as you play,like cell phone minutes once you go over you can't play but as long as your not using your time you are not loosing minutes
I played closed beta on AION for like 2 days lol and got to like level 16 and it was sort of average really... I mean it's better than WoW but that's not saying much lol... I wih they would release an Online Elder Scrolls game, that shit would kick so much ass! But it will probably never happen...

um sure I highly doubt you saw this, Clerics don't have dps they can heal like crazy so they can survive alot of dps but sin and sorcerer are clerics counter we have kockbacks to stun heals and knock downs sorcer can polymorph in the middle of a heal to stop it and it will not increase health like wow, so I understand if you saw this you were high but clerics are easy mode x 10

You should review Final Fantasy 11 online :) So far it has the best battle system ever, beating WoW, Aion, & Lotro. But they came out before WoW so it hasn't aged well lol
ffxi was slow and clunky but it did have the most amazing community EVER. And the endgame was challenging and competitive and getting things completed in FFXI meant something and satisfying.

Only got to play it for a few hours over the past weekend, but I was definetly hooked. I haven't played too many mmos in my time so it's great to hear other people thinking what I'm thinking about it.
