  • HOW DARE YOU YANKEES DISGRACE THE VHS. VHS IS THE BEST FORMAT. THE DVD AND THE BLU RAY IS JUST A SCAM BY THE JEW DEVIL CORPORATIONS. THE VHS AND THE SOUTH WILL RISE AGIN

  • VHS was the medium when I was a kid DVD starting coming when I was in my 20s, to be honest DVD wins but it's not with out it's flaws, DVDs suffers from blockyness when ever a screen gets busy, if you look closely at the picture on an explosion you see tiny little picture squares, VHS you don't get that ok the picture can be grainy but the picture is stable through out a film and no matter how busy the screen gets VHS will still look good, I still have a soft spot for the old reel to reel tape

  • CED ftw!!!

  • vhs sucks. Betamax was better

  • The sound on VHS is actually pretty good if the heads are clean, the tape is clean, and the tape and player are Hi-Fi. But, Hi8 is pretty good too.

  • CD quality? VHS HiFi has that :3

  • Blu Ray!!!!! unless you don't have a Career, end of story

  • vhs was and is the best. especially for kids. my little brother almost every dvd hes had has been scratched even ones only a year old. but we have tapes that i had from the early 190s and they all play perfect.

  • This doesn't prove anything other than durability. You should have looked at available titles, video quality, etc.

  • I miss VHS :*(

  • DVD rocks

  • I miss VHS. Where did you go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Even though they crashed after a while and tracking wouldn't work half the time

they were still awesome. I have a VHS machine and an antique store in my hood

and I recently calculated that 48% of my movies were in fact VHS's

  • WTF is up with Tom's hair???

  • One thing that pisses me off about DVDs is region coding. Also, DVD, being digital, is an all-or-nothing format. If the surface of a DVD is scratched, you won't be able to view that part of the video, whereas analog VHS will still play, though magnetic damage will exhibit itself through a loss of quality, and VHS quality slowly degrades over time. On the other hand, DVD has superior video and audio, and indeed it is, quite literally, space-saving. Therefore, the winner is .......... BLU-RAY!!

  • @rhall4th I wholeheartedly agree with you.

  • Stupid Test ,You testing crap! Who will be tape hitting a hammer! Who will pour water on tape! Who will open the cover tape and tape rip! VHS is no longer reliable because it is analog. Yes, maybe not as good as a DVD image but otherwise is still such as VHS recording of TV better. And from this test is clearly seen sincere hatred of tapes. Such tests can stop it!

  • Dvd vs. vhs -

I can copy a dvd OR bluray to a vhs with my analog camcorder and the quality (which I really don't give a shit about) is equal to or better than a dvd and I can recopy a vhs to another vhs SO YOU CAN TAKE YOUR FUCKING DVD, AND BLURAY AND FUCKING BURN THEM FOR ALL I FUCKING CARE.

  • dvds released in 2009: 5,000,000,000

    vhs: 0

    Im thinking dvd

  • OH I WONDER WHAT THE WINNER WILL BE??????????????????/

VHS breaks easily cos its crap and dvd is too thin.

    BLU-RAY WINS!!!

  • If that's an Electrohome combo deck, I have the same one! :)

  • And the winner is?

    SD CARDS!!!!!!!!!!

  • @SMGJohn wtf??? l0l

  • VHS are outdated like DVD better but DVD has those effing stickers 3 times that's so annoying

  • blu ray fail....

  • i prefer vhs because dvds screw up easier and more expensive also videos u can keep anywhere and will almost always work even no matter where u keep it plus the quality isnt much worse than than dvd quality and also u can fast forward right to the film and not have to watch those stupid ads and comercials

  • Dvd, much easier to pirate :)

  • @krisish00d hahahaha xD so true!

  • I'll take DVD cheaper better looking and more space

  • vhs 4 life

  • I wonder what he thinks about BLURAYS

  • i like vhs because they are cheaper and typically closer to the original theatrical versions of movies. quite honestly, though, i prefer Laserdisc to both.

  • well blu-ray discs don't break or scratch as easy anymore unlike a dvd.

  • Blu Ray owns all, bitches!!!!!

  • I fart right in your fucking mouth.

  • Laserdisc ftw!

  • vhs because dvds keep screwing up when i watch them. also, personally i don't care about special features. i just wanna watch the movies.

  • haha, how old are you?

  • 18, why?

  • i simply wanted to know

  • ...okay....

  • Wow, another person close in my age group that prefers VHS. :D

  • i like the features i do like vhs alot and i also like dvd but i like vhs alittle better cause rgey dont get scratched

  • dvd keeps screwing up`?..how about vhs with its crappy hifi sound and chewing the tape gay shit?..and dvd has digital dts 5.1 and resolution at 720x480...while vhs is like 350x240...the true old media type that could out performe a dvd is the good old Laserdisc in sound..in picture..it depends on the movie. but vhs sucked..good thing its dead

  • @permex91 ah, they dont even sell vhs anymore. Update yourself and get a bluray!

  • @hugenintendofan why pdate? everyone knows older stuff is always better.

  • @permex91 My VHS broke the tape came out

  • @permex91 vhs may seem better than dvd, but blu ray beats them all

  • When was this video made?

  • Just like the song says, "Don't fuck wit da VHS, boi"

  • vhs all they way

  • vhs ages and takes up more space

  • dvd is higher quality and can hold more.

  • VHS is also worthless when it comes to collecting whole series of Tv shows like I am into.

  • VHS is the more reliable source to record a program direct from tv. It will play on all players where as my dvd recorder is a pain when recording the disc wont play certain dvd players. DVD IS BETTER FOR MOVIES AND COMMERCIAL DISC but VHS is better for DIRECT TO TV RECORDING

  • agreed. with VHS you can record direct from TV over and over with 1 push of a button. DVDs are a bigger hassle to record but they work fine if you are recording once.
