  • His "drifting" is very nervous and technically incorect. But it might also come from that he is driving a Merc (heavy ass, soft susp automatic), or that it is raining. I wouldn't say he is any close to the Japanese, but he doas can control the car.

  • don't hate. never know why someone has the car they do. I have an automatic because i'm in high school and have no money, and my parents bought me a pos car. but i still manage to have fun in it!

  • you can not get a merc in manual anymore

plus he has on the paddle shift in the clip hence why he is pressing the button on the back of the steering wheel

  • wait, this dude is drifting with auto? DOUCHEFAAAAAAG!

  • @FOXeye95 You don't even have a license, dumbfuck

  • @messos LOOOOLS. what makes u says that?

  • in which corner did the tyres blow up

  • @marbles185 Shut the fuck up. Honestly, no-one cares about your insecure life.

  • Pretty good, but the manual transmission is way better!! :D

  • it be in ur best interest to find a standard tranny

  • mercedes first time seeing drifting nice try but better feeling with gears :)

  • @joakerowns the far left gauge is for Drift Angle in degrees

  • what's the far left gauge for?

  • @tomashndricks drift angles it looks like.

  • @Marulken thanks babe

  • @crackheedkillah if you look at my other vids, you will see i am a mega car nut,and like to drift as well...so would not disrespect others vids,as i know how hard it is to drift, and how hard it is to video it properley!love the ring its ace..what car do you have?i have a westfield 7 and a eunos...need more power!and merry christmas to you!

  • @crackheedkillah if you look at my other vids, you will see i am a mega car nut,and like to drift as well...so would disrespect others vids,as i know how hard it is to drift, and how hard it is to video it properley!love the ring its ace..what car do you have?i have a westfield 7 and a eunos...need more power!and merry christmas to you!

  • @crackheedkillah thanks for making me laugh...that tickled me,i was hardly not showing respect,i loved the drifting, but after being out with stephan roser, skill level is miles different, and if you watched the full vid,you will know he scared me more than once..ifi had had a camera with todays technology,it would have been miles better, unfortunatley it was on tape, and the camera was not what i call small!and i dont look for arguments either!

  • @crackheedkillah well my vids not professional, you try holding a video camera at 160 mph..the tape was jumping through the g forces,it was 14 years ago, which was probably before you was born,or atl least in nappies...but hey for all i know you probably still are..lol..

  • if you want to see a man drifting the nurburghring, watch my ruf video,i agree with the comments below, all low speed drifts using the power, watch my vid with stephan roser doing it properly,,he had it drifting at over 160 with me as a passenger....

  • he uses a water spray system on rear wheel to lower the friction.

  • szkoda mercedesa no i jeszcze w automacie!

  • wussie... in America we do all this...but our speedo's read MPH and we don't wuss out on drifting the high speed corners ; )

  • Fuck all u haters id like to see u drift with that car on that track. I bet id hear tire squells and then boom you crash the whole car lol that car has hella oversteer and torqe. Plus them corners on nurburg are crazy as hell at the beging...

  • auto drifting is poor and is only using braking, fient and power over drifting, rookie stuff. also ugly steering but did the job

  • Comment removed

  • @koxxoutofprice

The Driver is a Driftchampion and Endurance Race Champion!

So i guess he can drive such cars very good!

  • Merc cant make proper and real cars especially not manual cars... Merc... is a shit car..... for old men...... and BOOOORRIINNNGG TTOOOOOOO

  • paia...=(

  • Daigo Saito & Ebisu Matsuri would be driftin in every curve in this track..not just the closed but open curves too....

  • what kind of mers dude... awesome...!!!!

  • so how many of you youtube fags actually have your license, let alone ever tried drifting?

  • @zoslond why are you calling us youtube fags when you're on here yourself, watching the same video???

  • @killinhomer your insult is pathetic, get off youtube douche.

  • i thought doing this in the 'Ring was illegal o0 ?

  • Ordinary Japanese Street Drifter do better than this....

  • Actually you right)

  • Ebisu Matsuri all the way!!!

  • This car must be relatively easy to control because of the long wheelbase. I don't think the car is so wrong. It's kinda drifting with style!

  • fuck mercedes stability , its never really off completely , though im impressed with what he did , what a shit choice of a drift car... no offence to the car , but????why...the driftbox looks pretty damn sweet though. id buy one ..

  • lol get a manual dont be lazy... then you will have longer drifts and more controll

  • @joakerowns yes use the man pedal

  • @joakerowns Its harder drifting in an auto than a manual, and with 640 horsepower? this guy has skill he aint lazy.

  • @joakerowns you learn this from Forza?

  • the tranny is amazing for actually allowing him to get some angle......good thing stability is off!

  • gay auto trans, he would be much better if he had a manual trans

  • he has the pedals infront of the wheel.

  • why isnt he usin them then?

  • hmm good point

  • LOL, nice mercades

  • this is actually a great video.....soo...nice work.

  • Lol the crappy auto transmission changes up gears when he's halfway through a drift.

  • Which can be a good thing... make the drift longer

  • very good!

  • Naaaaaaahhhhh the driver is good the car is wrong!!!

  • Parabéns

    Muito bom video

  • 6:15 was sooo nice.

  • is it a W220??!!

  • Werner Gusenbauer drifting a 640 BHP MKB Mercedes CL55

  • )))) danke)

  • Considering he's driving an automatic, its not that terrible...

  • this guy cannot drift..to save his life

  • he cant drift but he can sure drive

  • then you try this , make a video of it , and show us how good you are , fucking internet gangster !

  • though i agree to iGangster, no he really isnt the best drifter

  • i think it s more about the cars setup then the ability of this guy to drift , it doesnt look to me like the car is setup to drift , so to say he s not a good drifter is very shallow and incorrect to me !

  • automatic transmission...

    lol

  • Youppi t'es un malade dans ta tête !!! Boite auto !!? Mercedes !!!?? T'aimes les bagnoles ou quoi ?? Accelerer dans les virage tout le monde sait le faire...C'est pas du drift !! BMW Powwaaaaa....

  • in most of the corners he was just powersliding but not drifting..

  • what is the difference?

  • real drifting is making your car slide even before you enter corner and it is main thing referees are looking in competition. going sideways using your BHP only is powersliding and it doesnt need much skill.

  • not true. they look for speed, line, angle, and overall impression.

  • DRIFT speed and angle. going out of the corner doesnt matter (it does in drift track where your exit can be another corner's entrance). and line is just distance from key points in the track. (this year I will try to compete in drifting event so I researched deeper than spectator should know)

  • Spunky, you don't know what a spectator knows, so don't be a bigot.

  • Its auto and its just plain old red neck v8 thrashing, sad.

  • FUCKING AUTO

  • There's hardly any drifting in this video.

  • what is that?? automatic or manual transmission??

  • ROFL...that's it...

  • get one of the new zealand pro drifters on there and show them a thing or two

  • Hmmm... I don't think he's that good, to be honest.. Should be smoother with the ingoing of the drift and the exit too.

  • Nurburgring is a little bit bumpy, right?

  • drift = driver steering to right when he drive to left ...isn´t it right?

  • drift is some sort of oversteer correction.

  • drift is the act of losing traction in your rear wheels thus putting you into a "drift" drifting is controlling your pitch and trying to maintain your drift for as long as possible and as pitched as possible.

  • Really nice video!

It's hard to drive with over 600 hp under the hood...

  • wow everyone talkin shit as usual

u think its so easy to drivein a 640 bhp car

  • this just makes me want a driftbox :)

  • seen better Driver, boring,he is to nervous

  • Looks like you were about to spin a few times!

  • thats not drift it only power over

  • true that it isnt really proper drifting but it is still drifting...

  • For one, that's not drifing. This is a perfect example of power sliding, when u wait for the apex of the corner and floor it, then counter steer

  • A ten year old could pull of that drift in an automatic merc XD

  • Its a merc,

It would be better if its a BMW M3 with manual tranny!

  • really great sound!!!

  • Fun way to get round the ring, like the sound!

  • WTF?? He is almost gripping all time....nice gauges though xD

PD: I would like to see DK making it

    God bless Keiichi Tsuchiya!

  • its a merc

  • automatic sucks.

    automatic sucks.

    automatic sucks.

    automatic sucks.

    automatic sucks.

    but the drifting is nice!!!

  • this guy has nothing on the Japanese D1GP drivers.

  • automatic sucks.

  • got balls, no run-off and a quite expensive car, fair play 2 u

    J03

  • i love how he just plows through some of the corners. it's wonderful.

  • pretty poor drifting, all of his corner exits are dull..

    low rpm,and speed..

    watch the japanese drift masters..

    this guy sucks,shame on mercedes,automatic..

who the f*ck wants to drive an automatic..

SHAME ON MERCEDES AND ALL THE AUTOMATIC CARS!

  • are you serious? a cl55 automatic? drifting round the ring? paddle shift maybe ? and id say its pretty good. ofcourse not as good as someone like kazama but who cares

  • i agree with u

  • Its crazy to do this stuff at the Nurburgring. One slip up and your car becomes part of an Armco barrier.

  • not bad,but all power slides, try inertia drifting!much harder...watch stephan roser in a ruf ctr..

  • totally agree

  • Is that video layer straight from the driftbox??

  • The video layer is created using a free utility available from Racelogic, and mixed in Abode Premiere with the original video. We will be launching the Video VBOX in a few months which will do everything in one box.

  • Drift angle as well?

  • Drift Angle can be imported into the free utility, and the new Video VBOX can connect to a DriftBox to get Drift Angle.

  • ok this guy sucks no matter if its auto or not, hes cleary behind on all his countersteering, his exits are all sloppy...

  • What a boob. Learn how do drive.

  • lol im amazed he made it round in one set of tires

  • im amazed he made it around at all, i was waiting for him to crash lol, but he was being super careful...coulda pushed it waaay harder

  • sucks skill

  • Simply awesome... Those who tried serious (IRL, not on a game console) drifting AND have driven the Nordschleife already, know that this is sheer ART. Got to have some balls, and loads of experience too. Big respect for the driver...

  • well to continue to bash on this guy in forza you dont exactly have a cockpit view and you dont really drift in an auto tranny you can power over but it doesnt do much unless you have an lsd to control you but what i will say is its not every day im looking at a benz drifting and this guys getting some nice angle too.

  • would u ever cop on

  • "You cannot drift in manuals"? What kind of 12 year old mong are you?

  • Owned lol.p

  • u fool.if this is forza ill kiss my own ass and if people cant drift with a manual gearbox like you say i will kill myself. f*****g idot

  • clearly this is grand theft auto

  • your really smart guy...

  • he was being sarcastic to the comment that i commented on

  • Ok this has got to be the most stupid comment i have ever heard in my life!

1 - Nurburgring is a real world track, Forza and many other driving games use the track as it kicks ass!

2 - Drifting can only properly be done in manual, only E-brake drifting and dynnamic drifting can be done in auto!

3 - no not all CL55s areright hand drive dumbshit if its made in germany it will be left hand drive as they drive on the right hand side of the road!

    4 - YOU ARE A RETARD!

  • i been powersliding with my auto by goin 80 and flippin it into neutral on the turn and flippin it back into drive after the turn, but i guess its not drifting. its powersliding. real drifting is when i had my 240sx in manual.

  • Also your an even bigger retard for thinking its off forza. The dials you see are for people actually interesting in drifting, I being one of them.

From the left... the first dial shows you the angle of drift he achieves. the middle dial shows you the G force acting on the driver. and the dial on the right just shows you his speed in kmh. These dials also look to be provided by a Racelogic Driftbox a very clever piece of kit. check out their internet site if you still dont believe me!

  • ZOMG Forza leik gotz teh uber gfx

  • This Car has some serious power! :D

  • lol bubbadrift from formulads series el camino is a auto auto drifters exist not many pro though...

  • Souunds awesome

  • Auto transmission, i have never seen any1 drift on auto.

  • it's in sequencial mode

And this mercedes has buttons behind the steering wheel that he is using

  • he did, for short distances, I would say that he drifted in the safer corners, to have allowance for errors. Putting that aside, it was a great effort!

  • hij durft ook niet egt te driften

  • would of been better if he wasn't in an auotmatic, you can only power-over at the end of a bend, nice though!!

  • "would have"

  • man that is some great driving man that is how mercs are supposed to be drivin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • is the lap times faster than grip??COZ IT SHOULD BE! Hooray for japan and drifting!!!

  • no drifting is slower then grip.. it was proven many times..

  • NUTS!

  • im sure it is easy with 640 bhp.

  • what is the use of this??? anyone???....greetings from Holland...looks to me like a complete idiot...ciao

  • hello to holland.... how would a guy from a country with only bycicles and straight roads ever get it. This is a good driver! I love the nurburgring an know what it takes to do this.... you... not so :-) - Hello from Switzerland - YES WE ONLY HAVE ROADS WITH A LOT OF TURNS!!!

  • i looks very easy but he is a pro. it´s hard du keep the the 2000 kilo´s on the track...

  • Its not a automatic, hes using paddle shifting.

  • i looks easy... but in reality and if im behind the wheels. i think its a little bit too hard to drift a mercedes specially in automatic

  • very very nice good job in a fucking benz its not a light car ;p

  • shit... this thing hauls ass

and this driver has some balls too... isnt the ring pretty narrow for drifting???

  • Yeah it's a Benz.

  • is that a benzzz?:SS:S

  • Car sounds great, I love how it screams when you get it sideways around a corner!

  • what software did you use to make the video overlay?

  • This was made using a DriftBox and some overlay software Racelogic have written to go with it. You can download the software from the DriftBox website. DriftBox dot com

  • nice we need outside cameras though

  • awesome

  • good

  • If there are other cars and motorsykles on the track you are a stupid ass.Its ok for you who sits inside the car and dont outside on a bike!!

  • about the bullshit on europeans not mastering the clutch: the automatic gearbox was invented by an american. Second: a CL55 is ONLY comes with a automatic transmission, so he didn't have a choice.

Third: I agree that this is more powersliding than drifting.

  • true dat. not sideways at all during entry. only when he stomps the gas does it get loose... but still i never have driven on the 'ring.

  • He's doing a good job! At some places the layout of the turns is simply un-driftable, you can't pick a good line to drift your way through it. If he would be driving on a normal track, he would be able to drift every single turn perfectly.

  • give credit to him for trying

  • i don't think i have the balls to do that.

  • 1. Detect country from IP

    2. Block all Americans from commenting anything to anything car related.

Exception: when leaf springs, live axles or pickups are discussed.

  • haha good one.

  • You cannot just dis all Americans. Have you even ever driven on the Ring? The first 24hrs I was in Germany I went to the Ring (there was a race that evening), the I hit 145mph in my rental 4-cylinder MB E200K on the autobahn, drove across half the country overnight, and then drove my rental car on the "Ring". However, most Americans suck at driving and Europe is the coolest place on earth for car enthusiast -- 1st Germany and 2nd Spain.

  • That was supposed to be a comment for DeckerFl... but whatever. I still stand by what I said.

  • yes he may not be awesome, however think about it guys, Its nurburgring! how many of you here can REALLY go out and drift prefecttly on a track?

how many of you can actually get your shitbox's perfectly sideways anyway?

and how many of you have the balls to go drifting like that ^^ on Nurburgring?? HUH?

so anyone who cant do it or do anything close, Shut the fuck up and learn to actually drive before you put in your bullshit 2 cents.

  • And yet in America we don't post videos of drifting automatic shit piles guy. I know it's the sequential manual that saved the Europeans!

  • learn how to drive a stick then post a video of you drifting. noob.

  • The rear tires are watercooled ,no overheating problems with the reartires, his drift technics isn't that good, just steers in, under under, hit the accele and forces the rear to brake out.

I know that this merc is heavy especialy with those watertanks and the ring is a very difficult track.

Compared to Jap Drifters he's nothin' they got much more skill ,using var. technics, and year's of experience, got lighter cars.... just wait until some japanese D1 drivers show up in Germany....

  • The guy has some skill, but why a cl55 with an auto trans? why not just go drag race your mini-van?

Haf Z Germans no mastered Z clutch YA?
