  • well done I say thanks for posting the song

  • could care less about the rappers-they go into that crap knowing it's only a matter of time..

  • @Waynescott1 as opposed to all the drug deaths that rockers had?

  • @brian1958usgrants

When Warren strikes up the Band 4 sure! Love his music: a lot like Elfman's take on life with Oingo Boingo but darker=^..^*=

  • It would have been nice to have the names of all the artists shown-I couldn't ID a few but enjoyed it.

  • Bobby Fuller would make a good addition- he had a couple of very good hits in "I Fought the Law" and "Love Made a Fool of You".

  • SOLOMON BURKE'S CLASSIC 1962 hit "cry to me"

  • dont forget about the late "SOLOMON BURKE"))))) CRY TO ME((((((

  • James brown OR Stevie Ray wasnt dead yet when they made the song ......DUAAHHHHH

  • @The0731billy A lot of people in these pictures weren't dead yet when they made the song... pay attention Einstein.

  • @ChiSportsNut18 Wow, do you think, not Einstein....It is a tribute to Rock and Rollers who have passed and not meant to reflect the time before the song

  • i like this version better: /watch?v=k2cijNKu9qc&feature=related

  • Fats Domino is alive, You also have Bill Medoly in here, He is the Righteous Brother that is alive, Bobby Hatfield has passed on. Wow a lot of mistakes here and a lot missed, Great song tho !!

  • jimi gaves us rainbows ad janis took another piece of our heart 'But if you lelive in forever than life is jut a one night stand '

aand then Warren strikes up the BABD when warren strikes up the band WARREN STRIKES UP YHE BANDyeahhh!!!!!!!!

  • Fats Domino is alive. Just saying.

  • @killbill2241 yes, others have pointed that out and I am fixing it.

  • Nick Ashford would make a good addition.

  • Where's James Brown?!!!!!!!!

  • @Bizarronumber4 this is an old one before he passed....I am updating it...stay tuned

  • Gives me the chills! My dad was a fraternity brother of Bobby Hatfield...they both died suddenly 2 weeks apart...I know they're up there enjoying themselves with the best of all timers!!

  • I think all the critics should upload their own version.

  • Where's Stevie Ray Vaughan?

  • @loupower123 He will be in the updated version

  • Some people just write to criticise, just enjoy it, write compliments or don't write at all

  • Now Jani Lane is among the deceased rockers joining the Rock N Roll Heaven roster.

  • Not to be mean or unkind but John Denver was NOT Rock n Roll. He was Folk / Country..and gifted at it. But Rock N Roll, I never heard him sing.

  • @rockinrobintweets Rock and Roll's very foundation was part country (check out rockabilly) and part R and B/soul....If I kicked John out, I would have to eliminate Johnny Cash....they were both cross over artists.....but mostly the folks that passed as shown in the video were contributors to a genre of music that had many varied parts including folk, country, r and b hip hop....and so on.....and afterall, this is my analysis of the song. Thanks though....

  • @mnoble61 I very much respect your view and I agree Johny Cash and a few others like Jerry Lee Lewis would be considered crossovers/ But John Denver wasnt an actual crossover as he didnt play rockabilly or as far as I heard nothing other the Folk / Country, even Bobby Darin had crossover. Any way no disrespect meant.. I saw John Denver in concert in the 1970 s and enjoyed it very much. I am not asking dor anyone to be kicked out just he s not Rock N Roll BUT hope he s in heaven

  • @mnoble61 you did a great everybody stop bitching you should be gratefull the rest of you can go ta hell

THANK YOU mnobles61 you've the best

  • Respond to this video... anyone who remembers Warren ZEVON IS TOPS IN MY BOOK the greatest performer not in the rock n roll HOF anyway schrew the hof

  • Amy Winehouse is now in rock n' roll heaven with all the others who died.

  • didnt knwo they sung this song

  • RIP Amy Winehouse

  • You need to add Jan Berry of Jan And Dean. They had tons of hits from the latter 1950 s THRU 1966 when Jan had the car accident. Then he and Dean did touring as Jan s recovery progressed. Sadly we lost Jan in 2004 but he should be remembered for his talent and his inspritaion of re learning and rebuilding your life after a tragic accident.

  • @LadyKatherine1960 Jan Berry is in the video though pictured with his friend Dean Torrance who is still with us. I got to see Jan and Dean in 1999.

  • @mnoble61 Sorry, I didnt see him. Where is his picture sandwiched in beween. I would know Jan and Dean s picture any where if I had seen it.

  • @LadyKatherine1960 it is exactly at the 3 minute mark

  • @mnoble61 Yhank you for the information.

  • No Michael Jackson. He had his own ERA.

  • If you can put more then one picture of John Lennon then PLEASE do the same for FREDDIE MERCURY.......I nearly missed the one picture it was so fast.

  • R.I.P. Bobby Hatfield....truly one of the great blue eyed soul singers.

  • What is Fats Domino doing on here he is NOT DEAD.

  • @Bassom58 -yes, Many people have pointed that out. I am redoing video.

  • Clarence Clemmons has joined it today.

  • Technically I don't think John Lennon would be there.....I mean....you know. Imagine kinda said it all for him. great music...but...

  • @notaclerk1 - hey, if there's a heaven, John would there. The Guy Upstairs is probably sick of ass-kissers and yes men/women.

  • @notaclerk1 do you know anything about music?

  • @judgedredd123 yes. I also know what I like. and if there is a Rock and Roll Heaven....YOU are not God.

  • @notaclerk1 How do you know? I might be God, and it's Mister God to you

  • What a tear-jerker..didn't realise so many were gone. Thank You!

  • This song summarizes the variety of music and what a tremedous impact it has on us. Well done.

  • Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Otis Redding, Jim Morrison, Jim Croce, Bobby Darin

  • **

  • When Jerry Garcia died, he went to a sort of Limbo. There was Morrison, Hendricks, John Lennon, Elvis, and many others. He was handed his guitar. He Smiled and asked Hendriks, "I must be in heaven, right?" Jimmy sarcastically said, "Just Wait".

In walked Karen Carpenter. She announced, "OK, let's take it from the the top: 'Close to You'..."

  • A very moving video that says it all. You got everyone, did not miss any of the greats . An A+++++ video

  • Great song, I really hope they'll be rock 'n roll music in Heaven, I would definitely be having a blast if I could watch all of my favorite musicians play music together in Heaven

  • Comment removed

  • @44sox44 Rock and roll takes in a lot...including rap/hip hop which is r and b....the basis for rock and roll. Beastie boys do rap....does that eliminate them from rock?

  • At the beginning, they showed Fats Domino. He's not dead yet.

  • @BluesCat1980 Good point! I hope it is just an honest mistake!

  • It's great to be old enough to remember these artists, when they rocked our world!

  • None greater than Sam the man Cooke

  • Bill Medley is shown at the end, he's not the one that died.

  • don't put michael jackass on this clip

  • great video!! Have you seen "Ghosts Around the Piano" yet?? You'll like it

  • WOW that got to me, luved it ty for it

  • Nevermind............................found out it is Nicolette Larson who passed away in 1997. She is best known for the song "Lotta Love" written by Neil Young.

  • Who is the woman pictured at 2:11 with the long hair?

  • It's sad that the list of those who've gone to R & R Heaven keeps getting longer! But I guess that's just life. Love is All that matters!

  • If your gonna update this song be sure to include "King" Solomon Burke. Who sadly passed away last year

  • and it's the OTHER Righteous Brother that passed away..not the one you showed at the last few seconds of the video... otherwise good video !

  • wheres randy rhoads

  • where is the big bopper and richie valens at??????

  • This is awesome but names would be good for those who don't know some of them.

  • Tupac's ass aint rock lol.

  • Great job bro. Rock on now and here after and treat everyone like a brother and sister!!!!

  • Hey, I'm the co-writer of Rock'n'Roll Heaven. I loved these artists, & I appreciate the care that went into making this video. Wanted you to know that there is also a new version of the song (with video) at youtube.com/watch?v=k2cijNKu9qc. You can also hear it on my website, alanoday.com. Thanks everyone, AO

  • @hurdygurdymanable this video was put on here in October 2006

  • @Doobie1975 didnt see that. my bad

  • @Koach127 fuck michael jacksonnnnn he suckss

  • @Koach127

sure, if he hadn't had the soul bleached right out of him.

  • @Koach127 thnat will never happen as good as he was musically Wacko Jacko was nothing more that an a child molesting piece of crap and right now he's probably dancing in hell and grabbing his balls and entertaining that low life child murderer Teddy Kennedy .May they both rot in hell

  • @Koach127 Please don't!!!

  • One of my favorite videos to this Righteous Brothers Classic. Do you people know that Otis Redding died on the night that Jim Morrison became the first Rock and Roller to be arrested on stage on December 9-10, 1967 in New Haven and it's funny but I take Chief Kelly's side and wished that Jim had learned something from it before his stunt in Miami where there's no photographic evidence that he exposed himself? Dan Nealon

  • really good. they are all missed for sure!

  • Great song, I sometimes wonder if there really is gonna be a rock 'n roll Heaven? If so I would love to play music with all of my favorite musicians in Heaven and I hope all of my favorite rock musicians will be there in Heaven

  • would have liked to see the late great RANDY RHOADS! thank you great video-

  • Time to add M-Jackson to the list,i would even like to see Karen Carpenter join the band.

I would like hear an updated recreation of this song,if you believe in Forever????

  • I thought I saw Fabian in the photo's! He's not dead is he??

  • @robmac450 Sorry Fabian! 2nd look, I realized it was Ricky Nelson.

  • Who is that at 1:23?

  • @ChiSportsNut18 -Brian Jones...Stones died in 1968.

  • @mnoble61

    Thanks for telling me.

  • @mnoble61 Long live Brian Jones-28 February 1942 – 3 July 1969

  • @mnoble61 1969 actually.

  • @mnoble61 i think iread something about his death ,he was having renovations done on his house when he died ,and the builder on his death bed confessed to killing him over a dispute money/renovations ,can anyone confirm ?

  • @mnoble61 no its bill hailey--you can see it on the bass drum.

  • Comment removed

  • @ChiSportsNut18 i belive that was the big bopper or perhaps bill haley

and i am going with bill haley

  • @oktony61

I meant more like "Who's that at 1:21", right before Bill Haley. Haley was easily recognizable. But thanks for the help anyway.

  • @ChiSportsNut18 Bill Haley (Rock around the clock, Shake rattle and roll, See you later alligator)

  • @ChiSportsNut18 Bill Haley

  • @ChiSportsNut18 - Brian Jones Who started an was the original Rollin Stone Or had the idea first .. • By the way My Uncle Fats Domino is not dead...

  • What is heartbreaking to me is thinking of Bill Medley singing at the funeral of his "Righteous Brother", Bobby Hatfield, when Bobby passed on to Rock and Roll Heaven. His fans will think of him everytime Unchained Melody is performed.

  • i think its crystal gale

  • it is a woman named Nicolette Larson who is from my home town in Montana....she sang Lotta Love by neil young back in the 80s or late 70s.

  • @FSMDudeFan

true but so were some of the Beatles and others in the video....it is a tribute to fall rock starts from whatever era. thanks ...I plan to upgrade it soon...

  • @mnoble61 Could you please include Bobby Fuller??

  • @mnoble61 Actually ALL of the Beatles were alive when this song came out.

This is a very nice video. Well done. Thanks

  • Gret song!!!!

  • great video and now bobby hatfields up there playing with the band miss them all

  • this is song is from a great era==rock on

  • you can leave out michael jackson, don't need any child molesters in with these great legends.

  • He was never convicted of anything....except maybe bad decisions. Remember parents took payoffs rather than going to trial....so they considered money above justice.....guess we will never know.

  • @mnoble61 Thank you!

  • He was never convicted of anything....except maybe bad decisions. Remember parents took payoffs rather than going to trial....so they considered money above justice.....guess we will never know.

  • Thank you for sharing this. I think Peter Steele, Dimebag Darrell, John Bonham and Steve Clark are having a really heavy jam in heaven right now.

  • Nice Video only one problem Fats is still with us

  • What memories ,the summer of 74!

  • Great video. Do'nt forget more late icons like Darrell " Dimebag" Abbott, Randy Rhoads,Johnny Cash, Selena, John Entwhistle, Keith Moon, Billy Preston, Sonny Bono, Jam Master Jay, Johnny Burnette, Gene Vincent, & Marty Robbins, Among others.

  • Karen Carpenter. 33 RIP.

  • i love this song so many good memories.... more than a photo for me..

  • Johnny Maestro ("16 Candles" ~ "The Worst That Could Happen") made his journey to Rock and Roll Heaven on March 24, 2010. Johnny's career in music lasted more than fifty years and he was considered the bel canto of doo wop and rock and roll. He could sing doo wop, pop, rock & roll, soul, r&b, gospel, but his favorite was vocal group harmony. He will be missed.

  • Stevie Ray Vaughn?

  • I know it's not easy to edit this great video, but I hope you do an edit and put Johnny Maestro in there!

  • Rod Allen of The Fortunes (died 2008) and England Dan (died 2009) who was the brother of Jim Croft are also additions to rock'nroll heaven. RIP till we meet again!

  • hey where is ritchie valens and the big bopper ?

  • They are still in Iowa, rocking out on the runway. You're right man they should be here, but good job by mnoble61. Its hard to include everyone with a 3 and 1/2 minute song.

  • @tonjo77 I would like to see thier pictures added too. My okder sisther interduced me to the earlier rockers and I have a lot of respect for them plus the music is awesome . My most favorite Rocker in the world was, is, and always will be Freddie Mercury but I like and respect other Rockers
