The car looks great, beautiful design. 295hp from the new motor was a total let down though. I was hoping for around 320, its not like everyone with a talon/eclipse isn't putting down that kind of power with basic bolt ons. 1/4 miles only 14.0 @ 96.9 my Altima 5AT would beat it on a roll for sure.

That isn't the EVO X you moron, that is the 08 Lancer GTS. The EVO X is still a concept and not even in production yet. They are not going to take a 1 of a kind car and drive it out on the street, riskin millions of dollars in development.

You have no idea how the auto industry works. The Prototype-X from the NAIAS is a concept, this is a test mule. It's one of several preproduction models going through a shakedown. They take them to different real life locations to work bugs out or tweak components before production. This isn't a 'one of a kind' car risking millions of dollars in development, it's a car TESTING the millions of dollars in development to make sure it performs as intended. They are usually camouflaged.

Eh, don't knock 'em until you've driven one some. The IX is an absolute blast and leaves me grinning involuntarily at least once every time I drive it. I highly suspect they're going to be more than $30k and NOT going to do 175, but they do promise a lot more creature comforts than the IX. Basically, if they can keep the handling and feel the same while increasing comfort a bit and not jumping the price, I think they've got a pretty serious formula for more mainstream success.
