I just noticed that except the in game browser, this is the most viewed presentation on youtube. And in my opinion this is one of the best things to watch.

A lot of details, examples and graphs, professional explanations, some pretty great questions asked and a few fairly funny jokes, subtle or not...

the doc is one of the coolest people working on eve, so thumbs up and keep it up

It could be fun to see a graph of how different corps make money. Do all the PVP alliances live from plex, or do they secretly farm, or what is going on? What is the correllation between the number of plexes bought and the number of spaceships lost?

When u pvp u have the potential to make a big profit ocationaly by illing a high value target but that hapens very rarely

The income you get from mineing is alot more staedy and if u can mine rare ores and have good refineing skills you can make ALOT of ISK

pvp doesnt make much money :) only loot whores really make anything if ever

They are not providing trade for real world money for isk, they are providing trade for game time for isk. No extra money is being made off of anyone, its all subscription money. This keeps the economic model as a closed one, rather than an open one like he explained, where money is exiting the system. In a perfect closed economy, isk farmers have no incentive to do what they do, because no real world money is being made. This is what they are trying to achieve, which will in turn...

@jerjud45 crack down on the flooding of minerals and mission loot/lp rewards on the market. Also hardware strain will be helped, since isk farming accounts are usually on 23/7, where a normal player wouldnt be, unless he/she really has no life.

Ok, so instead of allowing isk sellers to sell isk and crush systems [which I approve of] They fail to realize that by doing it thorugh plex THEY have set the REALWORLD/ISK trade value ? It will fluctuate just as real economy money does, but it now has a decidedely real value based on the sales in the game.

That's the whole point, but the money goes towards them, and it gets rid of hackers and botters. The other part of it is to make it ECONOMICALLY UNFEASIBLE to be a botter in High Sec. In low-sec...well things can be handles by the players there. Low-sec and null-sec space = everyone for themselves and botters = NOMNOMNOM FREE ISK.

Question directed towards CCPGAMES. How have the RMTs responded; and what i mean by that is are they trying work arounds? Or has the new system brought their numbers down?

First of all, CCP is highly unlikely to reply to youtube comments. Secondly, to answer your question: Unholy rage led to a ton of spamming by RMTs on the forum, spreading keyloggers and trojans leading to a lot of people having their accounts hacked.

After CCP made some emergency changes to the mechanics of the forum, this spamming has died down.

Unholy rage is the initiative from ccp to ban all abusers of the game.

They responded by spamming the forums with keylogger links. ccp had to put up some temporary fixes on the forums to stop this havn't seen them do anything else much since.
