dude this was awesome. Theres just a question that keeps bugging me everytime I see a video with an amazing sound quality like this. Did you use an amplifier for this or did you record it straight into your pc? And if you did what software is it? O.o

I need this because all my mics are basically crap when it comes to recording myself playing this song, since its pretty loud, the sound quality sounds terrible!

@dark999storm Recorded it through my amp, then plugged straight into the pc with an audio cable, just used Windows Movie Maker to capture the sound/video!

@dark999storm i dont know if you need help anymore about the recording thing but it does help if you have an amp with a master knob on it, so then you can kick out at the high end without worrying your neighbours heads are gonna explode

..you can clearly see what he plays. just 3's 5'en some 6's and open notes and some harmonics.on the low D string

@MrTeddy740 - it's just 0-3-0-5-0-3-0-0-3-0-6 on the lowest (D) string - the 6 is actually a power chord on the DAD strings (all on the 6th fret)

It's really not that hard. Remember you're in drop d, so hit a lot of open bottom three strings, and use the pentatonic scale, in particular the flat third and the fifth. the notes you can figure out watching which frets his fingers are at. it's not like it's a steve vai sweep tapping solo or anything like that.

no, i think it is 2 or 3 ish, look at most live videos and he 'plays' the harmonics down there

The whole original part of the song is tabbed out on ultimate guitar, and the second part is extremely simple aside from the last part, in which he actually detunes on HAARP. I have tabs for it, but just watch the video. It's a really simple pattern.
