  • Sara's soul sister from another continent must be Brooke Frasier. They are so similar in style. Sara is my wife's favorite.

  • This is really beautiful

  • i guess without poor ppl there will be no nice ppl. dis is never goin 2 end until we do. da powerful will always rule da powerless. I pray 2 God 4 long life 2 help me bring an end 2 dis in my little village of origin n hopefully take on my entire country. God bless da helpin hands n punish da criminal coporations dat steal our heavenly riches cuzin my ppl 2 live in destitute.

  • @zinnahblatee80 Have hope, Jesus will come back to earth soon and then things will be very different. Collect your riches in heaven and your heart, where nobody can steal them. Pray before you eat and thank God that you can eat that food and that you can live in the house you're living in. Don't let anyone or anything stop you to live the life God has planned for you.

  • What does this have to do with the Gospel....?

  • @ROGER459

The purpose of this song wasn't specifically to share the gospel as are others of Sara's songs. This song was inspired by one of Sara's trips to Africa, and what she saw there, and she is simply singing what was on her heart from what she saw there.

  • Very touching video, awesome.

  • Shame on us, as we stuff ourselves with so much food and call it a celebration! As we buy bigger and better and newer and justify it! We get on Facebook, and without shame tell the world about how we just ate at......just bought at.......check out my new...... I can only imagine what the world would be like if we made do with all our excess! Thank God for the people who walk the walk and not just talk! We are billionaires to these poor people, whos hearts put ours to shame. Sleep warm

  • @12rickvargas I don't think there's shame for you if you regularly realise how lucky you are to be able to eat well and live in a warm house. There is no shame in saying 'thank You' to God for what you have and still (try to) live sober.

  • They live in such selfless life of real Joy..We who say, we need more, we ought to be reminded by watching such video, that we don't need more and need to give more to those that don't have none. They are rich in hearts, we are poor and misserable within. Until we can say within our heart we fail, we can never see the real joy within, as we see in them. Just love this video and hope many others will see the truth....

  • So inspiring.. let us all help humanity..

  • So inspiring to help humanity..

  • Beautiful!!!

What a yerks dont like this?!!

  • This is a true display of what life should be like. We find more happiness in loving others than in being loved ourselves. Linked the video to my site at some point, Orphanage Support Team

  • I was just complaining about how I wasn't going to have internet on my stupid phone.. I saw this and now I can't stop crying... We have so much and so many have nothing.. Makes you thank god for the little things huh? Needles to say, I don't care about the stupid phone anymore..

  • Thank you Lord for Sara's gift of talent to share how so many of us feel.

  • this is an awesome song and she has a voice that is a gift from the Lord. I too thank the Lord for those God has given the duty and priviledge of inspiring the rest of us with songs. thank You Lord for blessing your pple and pouring out on your pple that we might be a blessing and that we too might pour out to others...in Jesus precious Name.. Amen.

  • @MrRocksteady59

    Proverbs 13:7

One pretends to be rich, yet has nothing; another pretends to be poor, yet has great wealth.

  • This kind of people are the one who kept me going!!!! Thank u god for letting me know that u aré the only one!!! -3

    God bless :)

    Tami

  • Sara is great person who has allowed herself to be used by God to inspire us. I confess that from the first time I heard her sing, I have not been able to get her voice and inspiring messages out of my mind. Some of her songs seems decades old but the power and how they reveal God is never old. Thank God for your availablity and allowing Hm to use you like this.

  • I just returned from Haiti and a friend sent me this. PERFECT.

(PS: yes, I know this is Rwanda.)

  • This reminds me of the people I see every day who don't know Jesus. So many lives, so many people who need to know that Jesus loves them and died to save them from the sin in this world. I saw what I saw...right here at home...Thank you Sara! Grasping at the courage that God alone gives me to share the good news to those around me.

  • i saw what i saw and i can't forget it. <3

  • Very emotive video and song. Very inspiring too. One of my best videos on youtube. LOVE IS POWERFUL AND GOD IS GREAT. ONE DAY PEACE AND LOVE SHALL RULE ON EARTH. AMEN.

  • I just stumbled on thsi video by accident. I never heard of Sara Groves before and i am wondering why. I am happy i did though. I enjoyed watching the video, listening to the song. It has so much value, so much quality. It radiates the beauty of love, compassion, hope, the spirit of sharing. Ooooh i loved it. Who is this magnificent lady singer?!

  • YEA! go aunt sara! 218,000 views!

  • This must be what an angel sounds like!

  • I'm just wondering why so many people think this is a video from Haiti. She is in Rwanda, not Haiti.

  • this song is awesome

  • let's do our part... when faced with situations like this, we shud be compelled to do what the Lord will expect of us. Thank U ABBA for your grace & mercy. Thx Sara.

    in Christ alone

    shalom!

  • Very inspiring, Many Thanks & Much Love ~~*

  • this always gets me close to tears

  • The hope in all of their eyes, in the midst of the meager lives they are living. With memories non of us could begin to imagine. Nor desire. It truly is an insperation and motivation to look at the purposes of Gods blessing on us in a whole new Light.

  • I've been to Haiti twice, and just recently when the earthquake hit. This video "cuts me to the soul", and reminds me why I love the Haitians so much. God bless your work, Sara!!!

  • I definitely agree with you! I have been three times. I was there when the earthquake happened. This video makes me sooo much of our brothers and sisters in Haiti and just the spirit they have! BONDYE BENI AYITI!

  • think if we had no poverty??

    good or bad?

  • This is an inspiring song. I love her voice, but especially the lyrics... They're amazing.

  • This song reminds me of Haiti ...Those poor people

  • beautiful people!

  • why can't this world feed it's people....we pray for equality for those who hunger.....

    beautiful song

  • My trip was to the poorer Islands of the Bahamas but it's the same message where ever you go................the people of these places we all can learn from!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thank you Sarah!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • First time hearing this and I have goose bumps. Even though I am not the same faith as her the message is universal. I hope she keeps spreading love and peace

  • I absolutely love this song. It opens your eyes! I wish we could all become this happy with nothing. Thank you!

  • maravilhosa é mt lindo,parabens aos produtores

  • I think her point is... there are those around us also who are hurting and in need...We need to do all we can to help others- she went to Africa, we as Christians can help the poor and homeless in our own areas and in the inner cities. People are going hungry and are in need. We need to ask ourselves... what can we do here as well.

  • A great video and a great singer. Reminds me of our trip to Tanzania where we saw similar things. The joy people have who in our eyes have nothing.... do we have their joy because we have much?

  • When you have see the poor be happy, that is a blessing. rich people fall into temptation, they are too proud to share their riches with people who have nothing.

  • This is a great video!

I also went to Tanzania a few years ago and it's amazing to witness such joy in circumstances that many American's can't imagine. We have so much to learn about joy.

    This song is beautiful!

  • @MrRocksteady59 wow its amazing that you say that.. i think myself ive taken alot for granted and i know almost everybody does here in america... because we are overloaded with soo much stuff and always upgrading into newer fancier things that we can't enjoy the little things in life.. we always demand more instead of being grateful for the things we have.. some people would die if they could only live on necessities but really we can all survive possibly an live better with less :)

  • aww thanks for beautiful song

  • this song embodies love nad grace

  • i saw what i saw none other than my LORD Jesus Christ, i know exactly what im doing right now (worshipping my LORD Jesus Christ) thank you for posting this video. God bless us... :-)

  • woaw<3

  • ZAMBIA June/July 09' - please pray

  • I saw Sara sing this in Houston, and it is probably the most moving song I have ever heard. I cried throughout and just about every time I hear it, and I don't do that very often with songs. Thank you Sara for a truly inspiring and uplifting song. You are a rare jewel in the music world.

  • I dont think this video is about bringing Christianity to Africa I think its more about the love and joy she saw in these ppl even though they have nothing . The American way is not the right way ! !!!!! Help people because thats what Jesus would do not cuase you want to spread religion .

  • I am part of a team at school that goes too the inner city and hangs out with prostitutes. This is our theme song, and it is also my prayer. I want the women's pain we meet too change me.

  • i totally understand - courage, compassion, mercy, grace - understanding - God shows it all and helps us to meet people where they are at and help as we can.

  • Yes, let us remember that we must also be humble even in our "generosity" in order to avoid humiliating condescension.

  • waoooo k linda cancion y lindo videoooo. Dios le siga bendiciendo.........por que tube hambre y me diste de comer...........................

  • Such deep admiration and am honored to stand in the presence of her love.

Her songs have had me in tears tonight.

Partly in shame for how little I do to make a difference with all God's great gifts to me.

    I am inspired.

    Thank you, Sara.

  • That's soo cool...And soo sad, we don't realized how blessed we are...

  • My sister just went to Africa. I kept watching this so I could feel like she hadn't left.

  • Life sometimes causes us to forget that the world, its needs, and love itself is bigger than what we experience or witness. Thank you for such a powerful reminder of what a Great God we serve and the opportunities that await if we will but avail ourselves to Him. God help us never to forget!!!

Çağatay abinden hediye olsun sana bu şarkı :)

    hadi iyi geceler

  • :) thank you Sara

  • The following message from jmbenedict is for WoundedEgo.

  • I love this song!

  • Part of the reason that there are so many suffering children in Africa is that it is almost impossible to adopt from there. I was there for 6 months, and then Kenya changed their laws, ending our adoption. We had to send Michael back to Mother Teresa's in Huruma Slum in Nairobi. There is a real anti-adoption culture there. They need Jesus so they can care about orphans. Their Christianity is like 1 inch deep (like here).

  • My nephew is in Uganda. There is so much need for a Savior and not just in Africa - though they still need our help - we also have a big job here. Move as God leads - he will give you and others plenty of opportunities. God bless.

  • I want to post this video on the group "I bet I can find 100,000 persons that loves Rwanda" on Facebook, but I don't know how. Any suggestions?

  • "google" hope, home and future blogspot

When I made a post with the actual website, that posting never made it on this site.

  • I must have watched this video at least 20 times and cried everytime. I've told everyone who will listen to view it. Thank you so much Sara, for bringing this and so many wonderful, insiteful, inspiring songs to our world. Laurie T.

  • sweet..

  • My parents were missionaries to Kenya, Madagascar and Seychelles for 15 years of my life. Africa is my home. I recently went to Swaziland, Africa over Christmas, and God touched my heart for the children of Africa in a whole new way. God revealed His loved to me as never before through the children. This song could not better represent how the experience changed me. I'll never be the same!

  • That's Beautiful!!! I love Sara Groves!

  • Your video touched me. Chris :o]

  • The first time I heard this song it reminded me of the people I lived and worked with as a missionary in Guatemala. Such a beautiful song and I loved to see the pictures of the people in Rwanda. I love the line in the song "Your courage asks me what am I afraid of?" Seeing other people's hope in the midst of sorrows really does remind you of God's goodness in all times.

  • I loved that line, too. Her voice is so beautiful, so are the song and video!

  • I loved that line, too. Her voice is so beautiful, so are the song and video!

  • Amazing! God bless you!

  • beautiful

  • This song is AMAZING!

  • This is amazing, i just found this video today.. i went to Rwanda this past summer on a missions trip, and her words in this video are amazing and true .. it truely "cut me to the soul"

  • This is such a wonderful song!! It reminds me of when I went to Guatemala on a mission trip, And I saw all those hurting souls! Children on the road hungry and cold!! This song puts me in perspective!!

  • I was touched by this song and the video while watching the Gospel Music Channel and loved it so much that I had to search for it on You Tube. God is Amazing! How he has used Sara to demonstrate how much he loves his people. She genuinely express this in her video and lyrics. I am blessed to have seen this video and hope that it has a great impact on others. May God and the Love of Our Savior Jesus Christ continue to bless Sara with her gift of Music.

  • I saw this video on tv and I came on YouTube looking for it. I am literally at my computer weeping...I hear the voice of Jesus saying "As you have done it unto to the least of these My brethren, you have done it unto Me." This song has inspired me to reach out beyond the four walls of the church and to truly see every man, woman, boy, and girl as God's precious desire...souls for His kingdom.

  • SongbirdGLG70: You are SO right! Thanks for reminding me and others to reach out to people, no matter who they are, for Christ....the way He wants us to. God bless you for speaking the truth!! Keep reaching!

  • Sara is one of the most honest Christian artists today. She speaks from the heart--not a political platform.

  • People, please.

Sara is not the type of artist to make a political statement. Listen to the simpler themes!

  • There is something about any endeavor that allows you to be the hands and feet of Christ that awakens you to "what you know of love...what you know of God." I go to serve and always come home having been greatly served.

  • Stpo talking about Rwanda. This video was shot and inspired from Rwanda, sure, but it could also be said about hundreds of areas in inner cities in the U.S. The idea is this: do what Jesus did. Deal with people's hearts, one on one. Go out and be a blessing TODAY to someone, in Jesus' name. "At the heart of the human problem is the problem with the human heart." Our (American) political system can not stop me from being a blessing, nor can it make me be a blessing. It's all up to us.

  • My opinion obout this video: Sara isn´t saying something like "poor people of Rwanda, so much poverty". She is saying the opposite: "poor of us with our hipocrisy, materialism and egocentrism, they have a lot of things to teach us". The album name is TELL WHAT YOU KNOW.

  • Little knowledge is dangerous, guys, it's not enough to look at one passage and think it's the be-all of the entire faith --in the same way that we don't look at the map of a single country and think it's the whole world.

Read the bible. If you can't understand it, there's a lot of people who can help.

  • Yes, Africa was explored by many christian, hypocrite christians. This is the reason why Jesus talked so much against hipocrisy, He knew that it would be the deepest problem in Christianity.

  • Hypocrisy is attributed to Jews in the Bible - the NT spares no effort to characterized Jews as evil murderous hypocrites. This, of course, is not true but was politically motivated slander to commandeer their religion. Islamists do the same.

  • In Bible, hipocrisy is attributed to Jews and to anyone else who have the same attitude.

  • - Democracy? USA is a democratic country and Bush made a war in Iraq with a lie. (Weapons of mass destruction?)

    - Capitalism? The much part of poor countries is in the capitalism system.

    - Conclusion: Democracy is nothing without the truth, Capitalism is nothing without social justice. EVERYTHING IS NOTHING WITHOUT LOVE.

  • I´m not against democracy or capitalism. Capitalism isn´t perfect, but is the best economic system that I know. And democracy is essencial. But those things alone are just a illusion, not something real.

  • As an African, I can tell you that looking at this video with western eyes can distort the picture terribly. Within that poverty, joy and happiness exists. Yes there is a lot suffering and injustice, life goes on becoz God is still alive and active in Africa. The western world has won God's favor but that doesn't mean that Africa is being punished. Leave the judging to the lord.

  • judgement? i dont see anything in this video or song that says that Africa is being judged due to actions. Rather, it states that Sara has learned that her fears are nothing when you compare it to the trials that the Rwandans face

  • Won God's favor? The blessings of the West are the overthrowing of the Bible's teachings about the divine right of kings and slavery and such.

Africa has suffered drought and such but their big problem is superstition and religious warring and tyranny.

  • The Bible's teachings of divine right and slavery? I believe the Bible denounces slavery and has no mention of divine right. It's called ignorance. People using the Bible for their own gain.

  • Where does it denounce it?

Divine right is taugh in Romans 13.

1 ¶ Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.

  • This is talking about following the law. God always wants people to do what is right. He places governments so we do not have anarchy. I am a bit late but this is necessary none the less.

  • Way to go, Sara. Aren't you glad you went? I'm soon headed for Haiti myself. It looks much the same there. You know, evil isn't the opposite of good, evil is just the absence of good, just as darkness is the absence of light. Rwanda may seem like a dark place, but when you reach out w/ the love of Christ you bring them light... the Light of the World. Well done!

  • what an inspirational video...

  • i agree!

it is very inspirational and beautiful :]

  • Yes, God judges all those who sin against Him. None of us can measure up to what He requires, but He has sacrificed His own Son, Jesus Christ, for us, even though we really are less than grasshoppers compared to Him. Through Jesus, we can come to God and experience His love and acceptance. Keep reading the Bible, and you will see His great love displayed, even
