Starhawk had an awesome weapon but were unlucky

Starhawk is a multibot. The little bots come out of it at the beginning of the fight and try to get in the other bot's way. Not much use against a spinner, though.

No it wouldn't, Megabyte is a HW and Ziggo is a LW. The owner's dead cat would lose yet another body. (Ziggo is named after his dead cat, hence the cat on the body, he's jokingly claimed that the soul of his cat is in the battlebot.)

The large 'pin' as you call it is not part of the spinning mechanism. The shell itself is powered by a large motor that spins it. It isn't spinning the chassis. It's spinning a shell on the chassis and the 'pin' is part of the chassis, but not the shell.

sometimes competitors put in their antweights or a friend's as a joke. A lot of the time they are so small, they escape damage. When they can't escape, the results are not pretty but hilarious.
