  • the jumps are 1m05min - 1m20 max The horse is probably only about six years old. (I compete in France and I asked my trainer what the ruling was in that year. He competed in that time period with several Anglo-Arabs.)

And Arabian horses so can jump! I took my 19 yro loan arab to a trainer at Barbaste and he jumped a 1m15! He jumps better than an 11k Anglo!

ps: search for this horse on ffecompet.fr, you can see most competition history.

  • arabians r good jumpers cuz they got alot of spring in their legs

  • i ride on one to and it is the same one as in the movie but than he called : boy.

  • What breeding is this arab of? He is very forward and well built!! This looks like 1.30m!! Amazing, this deffinately gives our breed a good name!

  • @TopQualityRanching

He is Kara Khan X Soulah Bint Nichem. Most of his pedigree is Spanish Bred. Hope this helps xx

  • It is nice to see other committed people who believe in arabian jumpers. My arabian stallion Al Ashar loves jumping, too. Take a look at his video on you tube.

  • are all arabs good at jumping ? just in my book it seys there only for riding, but this videos telling me something different :L

  • @HorsesRmyDRUGS I train arabs for a breeder and own several of my own, and each has a unique ability for jumping!! Some not as high as grand prix level, but they make beautiful hunters and have great frame over fences. :)

  • wowwwwww!!!!

  • @DokkasoStorm . Um... Kind of random I must say. I know my mare's pedigree inside out, I've been in the Arab world for quite a while I assure you. The reason for my comments was because someone implied that because she wouldn't jump that she is impure, which as I have said, is a false accusation.

  • hi nice hors and nice rider I'm arabian and I used to ride them most of them are not easy becauz they're fast! and thank u <3

  • Yes, they are fast! :-)

  • it looks like a little pony!

  • beautiful horse! arabians kickkk butt! :D

  • People claim Arabians can't jump.Arabians can do it all, they're versatile.I have 18 of them and they're all unique individuals.I love Arabians.

  • this horse has such a presence! arabians are the BEST!!!

  • 1:07 is a really good & nice jump!

  • it proves that one arab can jump as well that a horse french saddle

  • Hooo arabians can jump for sure..

We had an arab at our stables that cleared anything from 90 cm to 1.30 meters with ease and can go even higher =]

  • hakim this is a brother of karacas the champion show and the thergy other arab ( not connu (to do coliq)) they have 21 year old !!!!

  • hello, beautiful horse! 8)

  • thank you!!

  • good video! too bad that stallion pulled 2 rails, i think maybe lady was messing with his face too much, but on the other hand being an arabian horse owner - I know how hot and speedy they can get!

    Still great job !

  • sorry i m french no speak perfecti english buttttttt ........ the women is of video is a my monitric of equitation !!!!!!!!!!!! the horse not dead .!!!!!!!! the surname is kiki. live in lacaune in midi pyrené in the tarn.

  • Yes, we know Claude & Marianne. My husband is French so I will have him email you in French to talk about Hakim and his horse, Kartoum.

  • kartoum was claude but the sold

  • No,I was responding to Amero1's comment, it was posted after my first comment and I dont think it pertains to the video. The horse in the video is obviously pure and very brave (and talented).

  • Are you saying my horse in non-asil? I have her pedigree, it says purebred, and her breeder breeds strictly pure only, no half arab crap.

She is very brave , she just refuses to jump, she isnt scared, mainly stubborn. Sometimes she acts confused, but she is a smart horse, and I dont see how jumping a pole is really a complex science.

But she is definitely asil, I hate all of the registered crossbred stuff. And she has more heart than any other horse.

  • Hi! I didn't comment so maybe you posted to the wrong channel?

  • @DrivenStar I don't know who insulted you/your horse, but if you're interested in her lineage, there are multiple organizations who could take her pedigree and break it down by bloodline for you. She might be 100% arabian, but in the arabian world bloodlines are everything, and horses are defined by them. 'Asil' means your mare's entire bloodlines have never once in history been outcrossed to another breed. Some bloodlines are disqualified because of questionable origin, like Skowronek's.

  • SOS lol

  • Wow! I have always loved Arabs, I had an Arab cross that did this level of jumpers, but he broke his leg and had to be put down :(

Now I am working on a purebred Arabian mare, I bought her last year, unbacked at 5,and now she knows how to do everything but jump. When she free jumps she has beautiful bascule and form, but she refuses to jump most of the time. She just stops dead in her tracks. She is great once she gets going, but idk how I will ever be able to compete, she does that at every jump

  • this is not pure arab breed, not that good actually pure arabic horses are born brave by nature.

  • i have a pure arab mare and she will stop at fences if she's unsure. she isnt that brave...not all arabs are born brave.

  • actually most arabs are brave but mostly if you as their partner help them be confident. My mare has had to learn alot but boy oh boy can she jump!

  • I didnt mean that most of them arnt...just not all of them. Alot of does have to do with me as an unsure jumper. Beucase on lunge she will jump anything. But other than that, she can be very timid. I think alot of it has to do with the handling and exposure when they're young.

  • My girl is by no means young(14 going on 15!). But I encourage you to have fun with your mare and think positve! I wish all the best of luck for you and your mare.

  • My First horse was an Arabian. There so adorable(:

I still have my first horse, His name is Samson.

He is getting old though : /

  • arabians tend to rush to jumps. Im getting an arabian cross and he rushes but i love him <3 beautyiful horse

  • He really reminds me of a deer, just sprining effortlessly over the jumps

  • @Nickersss I agree! I've been watching vids of arabians jumping lately (fell in love with an arab but I'm a hunter/jumper rider and want to know if I can still enjoy my fave discipline with him), and I've noticed that that deer-like posture seems to be the norm for most arabian jumpers, which makes me understand why so many warmblood/thoroughbred fans are put off by it and simply write them off. It took me a few vids before I realized their style of jumping isn't bad, it just looks different.

  • i jump an arabian

    she's fine

except she races towards the jumps

    which i hate

  • our arabian used to do that, too, but we did lots of grids and gymnastics and he really learned to sit back and slow down.

  • Please give me advice on jumping with arabs... I have my first one now. 5yold stallion. I have trained him from the beginning myself and want to do eventing with him. He likes to jump but the tecnique isn´t there yet... What kinds of exercises are helpful? He moves really round and works through his back... I have done poles with him... Jumping in trot is easy for him now but jumping in canter is challenging cause he wants to go too strongly to the fences... What can I do?

  • gymnastics really helps!

  • What do you mean "gymnastics" Like bounce grids and such?

  • Yes, exactly!

  • actually this is a really good rider executing a short release and sometimes automatic one properly. i a quarter horse/warmblood cross who i do the jumpers with and i ride her with a short or automatic release so i can help support her through her jumping efforts and on the landing. i've jumped a few arabs and this is a really pretty one, but thats how they jump, they have a super smooth canter which makes them look like they jump inverted.

  • the rider is actually the breeder and trainer, and she is really good! arabs do move differently and not everyone can adapt.

  • Beautiful horse, but I must say, the rider doesn't move the hands very much in an effort to release. Try sliding your hands up the neck, instead of dropping them down. The horse does go hollower on some fences more than others, but just try giving him head, so he can drop it down rounder.

  • pure arabian 6 y.o. stallion. Short neck, high head set and energy level not really helping his head, however he's not too hollow.

  • Arabians can jump mine is an arab x and he will jump anything (:

  • This arabian is amazing, and they say arabs can't jump! Reminds me of my arabian, always ready to get to the next jump, at a full gallop! HAHA, great job!

  • Thank you! I never met Hakim (I met the rider/trainer, however). He is our horse's great uncle. I don't think he jumps anymore- let's see, he would be 20 years old now! Our horse is 14, Kartoum Al'Khamsa. He just learned to jump in the last year and we can see he takes after Hakim!

  • wow, Id love to do that, how do I find shows like that around me or even et involved in them??

  • You mean to show jump horses? or to watch? This show happens to be in France, but you can find shows everywhere! Where are you from?

  • i like the video :)

But i can tell you on thing for sure..

    Its NOT higher than 1.40m!

    Its like 1.20m - 1.30m

Where did you get the clip? :)

Thanks alot if you tell me where you got it :D if i use it in a video i mention you in the credits for sure! ill subscribe to you ;)

  • Im from Pennsylvania, I mean I show hunter jumper, but I really want to get into these jumps for show jumping. This looks like sooo much fun!
