ok I am using the demo and i want to add multi audio track. How do I do that. when I put my first track it's ok but when I put my 2nd track then the first one is gone.
I wish this software had a tab where you can see the video track and audio track
I downloaded the free trial version action hd to test it out. I animate Lego bricks and need a decent software. I have an hd jvc digital video camera. I use analog cables and a USB analog adapter to get live feed. However, the quality sucks really bad. I use an old software called monkey jam which is really good but I lose all the benefits of smp. Can u help in why the quality is so bad. I'm hoping it's because it's the trial version. Thanks
@3077BIODROID If you have a HD video camera, you need a black magic capture card to get the full benefits of video quality. Analog is always going to be a lot lower quality than HD. But if you can't afford or get one you can try taking still images on it - if it allows you to. Then you are using SMP for reference to get your animation smooth, then you can import the higher quality stills later into SMP and make an AVI out of those instead of what is captured in analog.
@cheesemonster2712 Yes you can. Actually I don't animate at my desk, I use an Olympus C-5050 zoom to take the frames and import it into stop motion pro. It's best to use if you have a laptop and can move it around if you have a webcam.
it dosent let me use my camrea i got a CANON SX110 power shot and i click on the thing that says canon compact camrea i need help would you like to help me good sir?
@RoastedSquirrel You need a capture card or video adaptor that allows for the video input from your video out on your video camera. If you use a DSLR The DOP control tool allows you to accurately set the camera parameters and lighting on set. The DOP control tool only works with compatible Canon and Nikon cameras with EVF. This tool is in Action! HD and Studio editions of SMP. I'm pretty sure you just hook the USB up to those cameras and it will display in the program.
@RoastedSquirrel It depends on the camera, but you can use the USB cable it comes with or the video out cable. If you use a video-out then you'll need an adaptor or capture card that has a video-in connection. Usually analog or s-video. Analog is the most common for DSLR cameras, s-video is best for video cameras, and HD cameras now have an HD cable that you can connect to blackmagic HD capture cards. So there's a lot of different ways to do it.
@animateclay thanks a lot!!! and one final question, is stop motion pro the same thing as iStopMotion Pro? i know one is for PC and one is for Mac but otherwise are they the same?
@thebombtrigger I don't know why that happens for you. I would contact SMP tech support for that one. But it sounds like it's not compiling the chroma key correctly?
@loveschocolate100 It's not the camera that does onion skinning but the software. Not all programs do it, but most do. Always check to see before you decide to buy anything. You can also try Helium Frog on our site, it's free.
@TheYoshiKid Make sure your device drivers are installed properly and re-start your computer. If that doesn't work try e-mailing tech support at stopmotionpro
@animateclay Hey, Thanks for the help, I got the camera and stop motion pro. Your tutorial is very helpful. One more question, how did you get the bar on the side to be there. I'm working off your tutorial to try and learn the ropes but I don't have that bar. Thank You
can you import pictures from your camera into this software?
