  • what's the name of the valve you're installing during 1.24 - 1.30? was it a pressure relief valve?

  • The air vent should be on the right side of the collector on the side of the temp. sensor socket which is hot outlet. In case of drain and service there has to be vacuum braker and in case of overheat press. and temp. relieve valve..This collector will deliver extreme temps. and is great for cold climates as well as warm.Great plumbing music and nice set up.

  • Excellant solar plumbing music!

  • Would you please tell me the cost of this system

  • Dont the copper pipes need to be insulated so as not to lose the heat?

  • How much is this system, and can you to send to South Africa.

  • nice;)

  • For the tubes, what I usually recommend my buyers is to install the plastic ring at the bottom first, then slide the tube into the plastic ring far enough that the other end of the tube is past the manifold. Then don't just slide in the evacuated tube right in, But instead, pull the copper tip out and fit it first, then slide the evacuated tube. This way, you are sure that you get a full contact with the tip of the tube and the manifold.

Then simply screw the plastic cap in

  • WHAT THE HELL IS HE SAYING?????

  • Bla bla bla! I totally agree with you. They may as well got the Swedish Chef of the Muppet show to demonstrate this, as I would have probably understood it better.

  • Did you understand the Swedish Chef better?

    Cut & Paste:

Muppet Show - Swedish Chef - making donut

  • turn off the music !!

  • You can build a solar water heater very inexpensively using the plans at:

    ambigrid-review.blogspot(DOT)com

  • Thanx for video

My advice to you is take that purging valve on the top cos is going to blow up.

Solar circuit doesn't need purging point on top. What we need is bucket to recuperate the thermoconduct fluide from the pressure relief valve on the return from the cylindre.Too many fittings those flaring joints we use them on air cond....

  • Nobody blows up their houses with a little plumbing, where did you get that idea?

This sort of system is very straightforward to set up for anyone who has ever played with Lego, so don't be put off by any dismissive comments.

    Plumbers are ten a penny.

  • Real nice video........good teacher......

can you buy these in the U.S.?

  • First of all thank you for the video.

I would like to give some advice:

Use teflon tape where necessary as Thieoni1 mentioned.

What's more, you should always polish the surface of the tubes with sanding paper before connecting them.

Another point of improvement is tightening the joints well; they seemed to be rather loose, which will lead to leaks.

  • Thank you for your advice, this video just want to make our client know how to install it , if something else more, it will seems difficult to the clients, and when they know how to install it , they can install it as per their demand, we just show the structure.

  • And thanks to you for replying so fast and taking the advice positively.

For following videos I would choose to leave out music (no music); most people who watch the video are non-native speakers of English and will face difficulties understanding the spoken word.

    Good luck.

  • Dear , Thank you very much for your attention to our company, and we are very pleasure to talk about the video. You see, we just do business with our client on net, and the main language is English

  • in order to teach our client to know how to install it , we use video and voice to teach them , both can increase the understand of the installation. So the main user of the video is our client who knows english, so it works. Anyway, thank you for your suggestion

  • there should not be an automatic air vent at the top of the system if filled properly, they will only cause problems in the long rum. and you don't use t-tape on compression. Hire a plumber, one with a license.

  • this is why people blow up there houses. hire a licenced plumber to install your hot water heaters. not handy men.

  • Nice, like the plastic end caps, but a bit sceptical not using teflon tape on some of the joints ;)

  • we can supply solar water heater

  • how much will be to export to canada?

    montreal

    let me know....

  • what you say ????

  • thank you

  • thnx... great vid but not wut i wus lookin 4

  • The tubes are like vacuum bottles-they are two layers thick and don't need to be covered.

  • really nice looking set up.

but why aren't the tubes enclosed??

(and the music and voice over do conflict a bit)

  • Thank you for the video but

WHAT THE HECK IS WITH THIS DRAMATIC MUSIC?? :)

I could hardly hear what you are saying and it sounds like somebody died and you are preparing for funeral... :)

  • It looks kind of complicated.

    But i like the video.

    Thank you for sharing

  • It would like to see more videos of the equipment of solar water heating with vacuum pipes! The Brazilian market of solar water heating, is unaware of this system of heating with vacuum pipes. The specialized store of solar water heating do not make use of systems with vacuum pipes.

  • Its made/invented for colder climates, maybe its too efficient.
