@longarop: That stringed lute that's in the video is an instrument common throughout Mali and West Africa. Its called different names by different peoples: in southern Mali its called "Ngoni" or "Konting". In Senegal its called "Xalam". Where my Dad's side are from (northern Ghana) its called "Koliko" or "Kontigi", but all these names refer to the same or similar lutes. :)
