What the heck is my problem ? Why can't I just accept that I am a child of God ? I honestly didn't think the world word influence me so much to fall away from Gods word and spirit. I have litterally denied God and myself. Thing is, I think I'm too much of a hypocrite to go back.  When Peter denied Christ 3 times and Jesus called him on it. I swore it would never be me. I know the lord would forgive me, but I think the enemy is making me question myself and my conffidence. Pray for me.

I dont mean to cause trouble, but what Sav3The World posted two weeks ago really struck a nerve. I am curious to know what verse in the Bible Jesus said that people who go to church are selfish? As apposed to praying out loud to recieve selfish glory, I do agree that praying in private for the benefit of God's glory and to build a personal intimate relationship with him is Biblical and appropriate. But this concept does not act against church.

actually, Jesus Christ said that only selfish people go to church. Jesus said that the only proper way to pray is alone in a closet. Its a common mis-conception. Most churches hide this fact cuz, well, they want money. Look it up if you don't believe me. And spread the word to save the souls of others.

If we look at Jesus' comment in context, which is talking about the Pharisees, who during Jesus' time would pray for the purpose that it made them look holy and reverent, when their heart was not in it. Jesus calls us through his teachings of prayer to do for the right reasons, with our heart in it.
