@MTLtransitvideos, if you were in Toronto in 1999, then you would have been on one of the S40s cause the TTC operated 1001, a LFS. and then theres the current Durham Region Transit buses, east of Toronto, which operates a lot of S40 and B400R LFSes. But they could have sounded better with the S50 engine, and i hear whining in the axles. Is it a MAN axle?
You know the Series 40 engines from Detroit Diesel are the only engines that sound a lot like a Cummins engines. She kinda sounds like an ISB and ISC engine combined
This is an awesome recording of this bus. A Nova LFS with the Series 40 engine is commonplace along with the C8.3/ISC, yet they are still so hard to find in the US. The Nova LFS's that Walt Disney World (in Florida) operates also have this engine.
You must've recorded from the front of the bus, because it sounds really good. Imagine how it would sound if you recorded from the back?!?!
omg sounds just like the novas we got most novas dont sound like this but our do please check out my page ull see our novas sound just alike with the 10 second delay on pull off

I hate the windows on these Novas cus there all small. But all the 429 430 431 432 433 units are great cus the seats and the way they ride.
