This government had agreed to pay reparations to North Vietnam and the POW's would have been released.

 The US refused and so our guys were stuck there. The ones left behind were all enlisted and so they were likely executed. That's how much Washington cares for its military boots on the ground. They got the officers out and left the rest.

That definately "mirrors" (in actions) the words of Kissinger concerning the troops, he calls them stupid expendable pawns for foreign policy. Anyone in the millitary or Police are considered "pawns" (all expendable in their eyes) to weild power through the barrel of a gun to subvert the people either in foreign lands (millitary) or domestically (police). They have absolutely no power but what folks give to them by raising their weapons at their command against innocent citizens.

I wish it were so. But your analogy to smoking shows why indeed we should choose--because we do not have the same kind of control in our political lives as in our personal ones.

We can choose to abstain from smoking, but we can only choose to abstain from voting, not from *having* a president.

Destruction and deception do matter, and that is why it is important to choose the president who will bring people less of them.

Now's the time to let people know that Obama will support the rebuilding of America's reputation abroad, rebuilding of labor unions, farms, civil liberties, environment, and infrastructure. And get them out to vote.

Here's a story that's been on the internet for all to see since the primaries, and the mainstream media has been too scared to touch it for months. It really goes to the heart of big-power corruption in our gov't, and much as they've loved exposing us to one demoralizing story after another--exposing a "war-hero" as no hero at all, is one ideal they are most reluctant to puncture. In a time of cheerleading for war, that would be counterproductive.
