Great cars, of course nothing today comes close to veyron( no not even reventon:) but the slr ppl I think made a terrible misstake with those exoust pipes. Its still a beautifull car though cheers

However, it isn't the prettiest of cars.

On the other hand the SLR is utterly stunning, however has less notoriety then the Veyron as it's slightly more common

The best is determined by many different aspect. If you think top speed, then the Veyron is best at it. If you say corners, there are boundless supercars that are better than the Veyron, simply because the Veyron is so heavy. If you say technology, then the Veyron has it trumped. If you say beauty, soul, and elegant, then again, there are numerous supercars that looks better than the Veyron. It's all a matter of choice, but the Veyron is definitely not THE best supercar mankind has ever witness.

Indeed it is. Its made to do those speeds day after day after day and still run for 150k miles or more. Its got the comfort, a radio, leather, and still has that scare the piss out of you when you put your foot down. The only car that will even hang with it is the Caparo T1. But For me top speed is not what counts. Its how fast you get there. EPIC car that is the best made so far and will always be. L8ter M8t.

The Veryon set the top speed at 252 MPH, which was the fastest, then now, the SSC AeroTT trumped it at 257MPH, but technically speaking, the Veyron make that speed with no problem or hardship, where the AeroTT reach that speed, with almost its shell being ripped from the chasis.

@wolfintheforest those two cars are still not on the Veyrons level. Koenigsegg may have a slighly higher top speed but its a matter of getting there. The enzo's acceleration is not anywhere near the veyron and neither is its top speed.

Theres no 'Deciding' the F1 is faster then the SLR and the Veyron is faster then the F1 so.. the only chance the SLR would have is if the to car were to drag on an blistering hot day, like more then 120 degrees, maybe then the Veyron's turbos would get choked out from the heat.

In speed, Bugatti Veyron because of it's 1001 Horsepower and weight-to power ratio, but luxury, price, design, and just about everything else goes to the SLR. I'm a Mercedes fan.
