Andy and his sister would have not got out in real life because they would have been shot straight away to stop any risk of infection returning to district 1. That is the problems with my countrymen, they have this hair brained idea that it is possible to save everyone during a mass infection. Paul Redeker said it best. Now, he believed in extreme measures in order to contain the infection, and that was in World War Z, where at most those zombies are capable of speed walking and the infection takes 12-24 hours. But when you have something capable of spreading in 20 seconds you drop the bombs the moment there is any sign of an outbreak, at all.
