What an incredible job. Really quality stuff. I think John McCain took it really well, and he gave Obama some jabs earlier that were pretty good. Not like this trashy playground craap of the last couple years. Like grown-ups. Ah, that we could have dignity like this once more, to truly show people with different opinions can exist in a democracy.
This is so sad to watch. Obama is actually being funny, but McCain is trying harder than anything that he's done in his life to smile. He seems uncomfortable, so it's kinda ruins the moment.
The US was supposed to have a limited government because the founders knew political power attracts swarms of crooks, demagogues and despots as surely as horse manure attracts swarms of horseflies.. Most of these bastard politicians are, by nature, liars & notoriously economically illiterate ! Bad, stupid ,gutless policies have real consequences
Welfare for the well-off ,costing billions a year ? This is being paid for with taxes of the less fortunate, many working 2, jobs to make ends meet. IOUs to be paid off by future generations. Never demonize those who are successful. But to pamper them with welfare to create an appearance everyone is benefiting from fed programs. We are no doubt the mose ignorant people on the face of a FREE COUNTRY , Trillions for Bailouts & Re-Election. We are no doubt cash cows for crooks
This man is corrupt who's trampled our constitution . An illegal who committed felonies before & after the election. Pledge allegiance to your principles, family & faith, but not to a gang of thieves. We're facing tough times, many working 2,jobs to make ends meet. More Americans turning to the gov for assistance for tax write-offs for gambling losses, vacation homes, luxury yachts. Subsidies for ranches & estates.Subsidizing lifestyles of millionaires receiving gov checks
@Mange424 fuck you fuck you fuck you fuck you fuck you fuck you fuck you fuck you fuck you fuck you fuck you fuck you fuck you fuck you fuck you fuck you fuck you fuck you fuck you fuck you fuck you fuck you fuck you fuck you fuck you fuck you fuck you fuck you
I'm not an Obama fan AT ALL, but I'll give him credit for respecting McCain (who I am not a fan of either) for the great sacrifices he has made in serving our country at war. Congrats McCain and Obama. It takes a tremendous amount of prestige and charisthma as well as loyalty to your country to be where you are. You both should be proud! God bless you both.
sometime i don't know what the hell you thinking...Obama can't do it all alone! The Republicans block him off and any of his proposals. And your can not be serious that years of mismanagement can be solved in 4 fucking years! on wich planet do you live?!
@Elondras And the frustrating part is that there are a minimum of 2 general solutions to each problem, and since a conflict cannot reasonably be resolved within 2 presidential terms, the back and forth between parties only hinders production and economic progress.
he would have expanded green energies and he would have raised taxes for the top 1%
what he has done: health care reform, creation of more than 3 million jobs, end of Iraq war, killing of Bin Laden, end of don't ask don't tell and the US made the right decision about Libya...I think that's quite a lot.
@ggreazy870 are you referring to "Obamacare", that crap he tried to ram down our throats?
Dont ask dont tell wasn't all that bad. I dont care if the guy serving next to me is homo, but lets keep things more professional. he had nothing to do with bin laden. you might as well say he got pictures of the tooth fairy or found big foot.
@ggreazy870 You say that he had nothing to do with Bin Laden, but if this happened the exact way, except with Bush as President, you'd say he had everything to do with it.
@Trekiefreak777 You people who give Obama credit for killing bin laden make me laugh. you almost make it sound like it was Obama and not some elite socom team that actually did it. Regardless of which president was in office, it wouldn't matter. And do you really think we have been hunting this guy for 11 plus years? Did you not know that Osama has worked with our cia? Or that his family has ties to the Bushes with bussiness?
Message to all people saying Obama is giving funds to "banker friends". What friends? What banks? How can be giving them funds yet still be criticized as a socialist? Thumbs up if your confused too!
@rr5001 giving money to bankers doesn't make him a capitalist. Its called cronyism. In a capitalistic or free-market society, this would never happen. This is sometimes what is called as crony capitalism - but in a way you can say that the more the tie-ups with big business and govt, more likely are we to witness such deals taking place
@rr5001 Socialism is the government taking money from everybody and giving to a select few people / special interests. The government giving tax payer money to banks is socialism. I'm not sure if he did that or not, but obviously you don't know what socialism is.
@azbpro Exact, at the beginning of a socialist system they redistribute the money to the less fortunate but then the fortunate find ways to redirect the money to special interest.
Big government = creating more problems that it solve.
@azbpro Are you kidding me? Have you ever read a single fucking paragraph of Marx's "Das Kapital"? Socialism is first and foremost power to the people, after a revolution where the people is in control of the country's riches (factories, farming, science, etc.) and it is COMPLETELY EQUALLY SHARED regardless of what your social status is. And socialism in it's primal state has NEVER actually been used as a governing form in any country. Because of greed and corruption.
@Entertekken No I have not read a single paragraph of Marx's "Das Kapital". Lol. And socialism takes away all power from the people and gives it to the government. I don't have a problem with countries that are voluntarily socialist, but keep it out of America because it's against our constitution and we should always remain a free country where people have the rights to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
@azbpro No, that's just my point. Socialism has never been actually used in a governing form, because the leaders of the so-called socialist countries (China, former USSR) have twisted it's meaning, and turned it into dictatorships. The only ones who would have their power taken away in an actual socialist nation, is the absurdly rich and the companies. With complete power to the people through democratic choice, all funds would go directly equally shared to each individual of the state
@Entertekken Marx did write his manifest as a picture of a utopian society. It can never happen as long as some people in the country find having more than they need more important, than the life, happiness and freedom of the people they live among. True socialism would stand against very little in your constitution, including the original bill of rights.
@azbpro Well, how do you understand freedom? If you mean the pursuit of riches, then yeah, I guess your freedom would be taken away from you. But I don't really see that as an issue. You would still be able to pursue whatever job, religion, family value etc. that interested you, so from my perspective, there's no hinder to the 'pursuit of happiness'. But I think you're right. Too many people are far more concerned with valuables and ownership than value of life. So socialism would never
@Entertekken ...happen in today's society. Still, I think there's nothing wrong with pursuing some of the socialist goals, like free healthcare, education and food regardless of class. And that will undeniably cause a big taxation. But if you spend less money on weaponry and more on the latter, I think the US would be just fine :)
@Entertekken Haha I agree we should spend less on weaponry and only go to war when it's a declared war as outlined in the constitution and it is absolutely necessary for the well being of our nation. I also appreciate people who willingly donate to non-profit programs that help people without the government stealing their money and I prefer a society that works that way. Freedom works, you just have to believe in it. The government doesn't need to take away a single right to perfect society.
@azbpro I guess that's just where you and I differ in opinions :) I stopped believing in the good in (all) people a long time ago. But seriously, socialism does not defer from: "no property shall be taken for public use without due process of law." There is due process of law if it's a completely socialist nation and all goods are gathered and divided equally among all people. The only freedom taken away is the freedom to get wealthier than others and exploit others. That's it.
@Entertekken Haha I guess neither of us can win this argument unless you convince me that being rich is a bad thing or I convince you that not every single person has to be a good person for a free society to work. The thing is, in order to work, socialism relies on a society where everyone is willing to accept the rules, and it does work in some countries like Finland mostly because everyone is of the same heritage, but in a diverse country where everyone has different goals in life and some
@azbpro people are more ambitious than others freedom works best historically because everyone is given the right and opportunity to pursue their ambitions and live the life they want to live. That's basically the belief America was founded upon and I would much prefer if we returned to that belief in government.
@azbpro That's true. I just don't believe everyone has the same opportunity to pursue their ambitions, if they live in a country with low or no taxes. If they're born into poverty or illness and do not have the means to treat themselves, then their ambitions will be severely restricted (eg. by dying). There should be a government to take care of the poor and the ill, and to keep people safe outside their homes. And for that you need taxes. So why not tax the rich the most?
@Entertekken Because in a free country, those rich people could be inventing break through medical technologies for the ill and creating job opportunities for the poor with the money that the government is instead stealing from them and giving directly to those people with no productive result and no way to prevent such events from happening again. Plus taxing people on their income is not fair because there is no way for the government to find out how much money you actually make.
@azbpro This wouldn't even be a relevant issue in a socialist state, because first of all, all who work would be given the same amount of money. And an intelligent socialist state, would also fund science heavily. And in theory, without corruption, since companies would not exist, and the government would easier control what the money is used for. Secondly, no way to find out..huh? You don't have income control in the US? Just tax the companies, fortune holders and company leaders more.
@Entertekken Lol we have a constitution here in the United States, where do you live? The fourth amendment to our constitution says the government can't search our papers or effects, so they have no way of knowing what our income is, and it should stay that way. If you don't even live in the U.S. why do you care if we are free or not? The thing is, in a socialist state, once the taxpayers all lose their jobs and go bankrupt, then the government can't function anyways because there's no revenue.
@Entertekken Also saying companies are corrupt is wrong, because the companies should have every right to be as corrupt as they want, as long as they don't force people to buy their products. The problem with government is they are corrupt and everyone is forced to buy their products and as a result we are forced to deal with the corruption, whereas with a free enterprise if they are corrupt they simply go out of business because they lose customers.
@azbpro How can you say that it's okay for a company to be corrupt? Cheating others out of their hard earned money is never right, no matter who is doing it. And they only go out of business if their corruption is discovered, and then not even always, because their corruption spreads to the media and politicians, so they can twist the truth like they please. If a politician or a bank director was payed the same amount of money for their job as a house-cleaner, you'd only get people with
@azbpro an ambition to do good, instead of an ambition to gain more power. And you gotta remember why the government is corrupt. Because it is paid off by the rich. So logically, you should vote for the guy that wants to increase taxes the most on the rich and the multimillion dollar companies, because he would be the least corrupt :)
@Entertekken I say it's okay for a company to be corrupt because no one is being forced to use their services, and if people don't use their services because they don't like that company, then they go out of business. As a result, companies can't be corrupt because if they are then the go out of business. If the government is corrupt they don't go out of business, they just continue being corrupt. And it's ironic that a socialist would argue about "cheating others out of hard earned money".
@azbpro Because with the ambition to do good, you would accept the power and as such become a better leader than one who only does it for the power/riches/fame whatever. How is it ironic that I argue about that? Because others who claim to be socialists have abused their power? Stalin wasn't a true socialist and neither were Kim Jong-il. They were dictators become so because of lust for power. You think Reagan or Bush J. were much better? They just concealed it when they murdered people.
@Entertekken No I don't think Bush was better. I also agree someone with good ambitions working in politics should not accept a high pay. That is why I support Ron Paul because he is the only presidential candidate who would drop the presidential salary down to the average American worker salary. But in the private sector who cares what your wage is the tax payers are not forced to pay you anything and everything you earn is from people who voluntarily paid you, that's their freedom.
@azbpro Bush wasn't a capitalist in my opinion, as you believe Stalin and Kim Jong-il were not socialists. The thing is capitalism has worked in the past, under people like Warren Harding and Calvin Coolidge, were the government has stayed out of the people's business and America was a very prosperous country. Socialism has never worked in a culturally diverse country and it's technically against our constitution in the U.S. anyways. Do you live in the U.S. just curious?
@azbpro It sounds like I haven't found the worst republican in the batch then :) No, I'm Danish. We have a decent healthcare-system and low crime but we also have very high taxes :) I don't know the two presidents you're referring to except by name. My problem is exactly that. Practical examples. Socialism is still a utpoian theory, it has never worked. It has never been allowed to work, and I think the reason is a basic human flaw. Greed. Still, the balance in my country I believe is
@Entertekken Haha did I say I was Republican? Well I guess I am since i'm voting for a Libertarian candidate running for the Republican party... but I tend to prefer Libertarian ideals. The Republicans seem to be big government people when it comes to warfare and dealing with people's social lives. The Democrats are big government when it comes to Welfare, taxes, and regulations. I just prefer small government.
@azbpro Fair enough. I just think that a society where companies are given free reign, the larger companies will gather so much power that it starts to get really uncomfortable for regular Joes to live in such a society. Eventually they would become governments of their own, after all it only takes power to rule. I know a lot of people would call it conspiracy and whatnot, but I think it's already happening, below the surface. They do get caught, once in a while. By the big government :)
@Entertekken Yea, it would be very difficult to do that with a company, because you can't force anyone to pay you, but if you could make a product or service that enough people needed and were willing to pay you for then you could probably do it. I'm just not sure if that's really possible without the media going mad and other companies buying your stocks and devaluing them. I personally like big companies like Microsoft and Google when they create great products.
@azbpro Yeah, but I think they hold too much power. They can easily sway the media into saying what they want them to say. One other thing, I just wanna get your feeling on it. I think the economic crisis is 100% due to capitalism. Speculation, inflation and consumerism led to it. Would you agree to some degree?
@Entertekken Well the economic crisis we are having in America is because of the government printing way too much money to pay for all the war&welfare spending they are doing. In addition we have the highest corporate tax rate in the world so all the jobs are getting shipped to countries with lower tax rates. Also our taxes rates are constantly changing and our tax code is long and confusing so it's really hard for startup companies to compete with the big guys and create new products and jobs.
@azbpro Military industrial complex that demands a constant state of war at the cost of the state. Look I've pinned down the major cause of you're economic woes
@azbpro I don't believe that's entirely true. With an intelligent and benevolent government in power you can achieve great things. But to avoid arguing in circles, I will make one final statement. /watch?v=Qc7HmhrgTuQ&feature=relmfu
@azbpro Oh never mind I figured it out. Haha that's hilarious. Unfortunately government has done the same thing in the U.S., they took over healthcare and have mostly taken education and as a result prices are going up and the quality of the healthcare / education is degrading. I think roads are something the government should do, but education and healthcare absolutely not. That's what insurance companies are for.
@azbpro very beneficial to us, switching from socialist(influenced) to capitalist leaders has worked very well for us so far, except for the bureaucratic nonsense associated with the change.
@Entertekken I don't separate one freedom from another, freedom is freedom, whether it's freedom of religion or freedom of unreasonable search and seizure. A government capable of taking away one freedom is a government capable of taking away all freedom, and according to the 4th amendment we have the right to remain secure in our possessions and according to the 6th amendment no property shall be taken for public use without due process of law. Really i'm telling you... read the constitution.
@azbpro Are the peoples of France, Denmark, Austria, Norway, and Sweden not Free? are they not Free to persue an Education, come and go as they please, do they not own cars, homes, businesses? you people are so ignorant of what Socialism is, it's not a bad thing, they are not from a single ethnic origin they are a melting pot of different backgrounds. people from other countries that choose to live in a social country for it's freedoms.
@dontaskmeplz123 Hey liberal idiot! I'm Norwegian and socialism is destroying our economy. Our hospitals are terrible, our roads, elderly care, schools and politics are all half of what they could be because of socialism. Our nations are strong today because of a history of ruthless competition and industrial development since the 1800's, not because of our FAILED policy of social liberalism. AMERICANS, DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS LIBERAL FOOL. Save your country, vote Ron Paul.
@Sinekyre14 Hey, Socialism isn't destroying your economy, the whole world is in the shit can. except for maybe Canada. It's the whole economic situation that was caused by too many countries borrowing money from other countries and not being able to pay down the debts. China is now the super power with a growing strong economy. China now makes all the products we consume and everything else is outsourced to India.
@dontaskmeplz123 - I completely agree with you, if socialism is voluntary, then i'm fine with it. In fact, I would be fine with communism if it was voluntary. What I do not agree with is using socialism in the United States, where it would not be voluntary and actually go against our constitution and freedoms promised by it.
@Entertekken Marxism views the socialist system as being prepared by the historical development of capitalism. Capitalism according to Marxist theory can no longer sustain the living standards of the population due to its need to compensate for falling rates of profit by driving down wages, cutting social benefits and pursuing military aggression
@dontaskmeplz123 That's right. But how did that go against anything I said? Communism is developed from socialism, and I mentioned both China and the USSR as being "not true socialism". I am from Denmark myself, I know quite well how good socialism has been for our nation :)
@Entertekken Okay... I would prefer to live in a society where it is possible to advance your social standing and get rich, but I can understand people who would want to live like that. I can't really imagine socialism ever working however, because its more of an ant colony thing than something humans would be willing to sacrifice their possessions and freedoms for.
@Entertekken you may find that China and the Former Soviet Union are communist countries not socialist take a look at France, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, they are Socialist. they are diverse countries I think a lot of people who are commenting are confusing Fascism and communism with Socialism look at the root word, "Social"
@Entertekken yeah but does that not remove the incentive for hard work and getting far in life? Marxism relies on people to be self sufficient - its about a particular, ideal image of a human evolving overtime and creating a sort of utopia on earth. It just won't work, I've read a better book, its called "Animal Farm" and that really breaks down Marxism and the concept, and shows how it has failed in the past.
@Shaftsus animal farm is actually a critical allegory, based on Stalin's distortion of marxism (stalin being napoleon). It's meant to focus on his corruption of the idea, not the flaws of marxism
@greendaylover4 look at North Korea and China - a third of North Korea's population is malnourished and Mao was responsible for the starvation and deaths of millions of Chinese people during his reign as the leader. Where Marxism is used there are always a few corrupt individuals - in fact its always corrupt individuals that have tried to enforce this system onto their respective countries after overthrowing their current governments - thats why it has failed and will always fail as a concept.
@azbpro really? hmm, have you taken a good look at the socialist countries in Europe, like Sweden, Norway etc. yes the government has high taxes but the citizens of those countries are looked after in their elderly years, schooling, university, medical, dental and prescription drugs are free, women get two years maternity leave at near to full pay. everyone is looked after not just the select few.
@dontaskmeplz123 I don't deny socialism works very well in countries where everyone is of a single heritage, but when you take socialism to a free country with a diverse population and everyone has different wills and ambitions no one wants the government telling them how to spend their money or spying on their everyday lives. Capitalism & freedom works best in a free country, and usually when you try to mix in socialism what you actually get is corporatism, which is giving to a select few.
@azbpro Precisely. I can attest to this after having lived in Norway my whole life. A country with ONE ethnic group has a more altruistic and trusting atmosphere, where everyone can share without any abuse.
Multiculturalism is destroying america, and all "modern nations". If you truly study history and look at what happened to Rome, Greece, Egypt, greatness has been brought to its knees because of multiculturalism and integration of lower races. Study it and you'll see.
@rr5001 the only confusion in those words, was the confusion. of how dumb americans can be. how BLIND with vision. how DEAF with hearing, american people can be. please.. do some research. watch?v=C2jL-9KyWlA&feature=related
Obama wont run the country, sure. But the money he's giving out allowing corporations to get richer and richer.
You will be sucking the dicks of corporations for the next generation.
Ron Paul 2012 will fix everything. Watch his debates. If you disagree with me, please send me an educated reply and I insist on having an educated argument.
And this speech is the source for the Quote taken out of context that Willard "Mitt" Romney used in his infamous ad, "If we keep on talking about the economy, I won't win." I am amazed at the depths to which some politicians will stoop!
Obama has the will. People just judge him too fast. I'd like to see any of you try to be president for even a week. People are never happy with what they have, and only judge because of their own opinions. Half of the people that dislike Obama are racist, and the other half expect things to be done too fast. And if you think Obama has the absolute power over the country, you are just mental. Give it time and have faith, I'm sure he is doing what he has to do, even if it is taking him time.
@OpiumNomad... incredible well said. I could have not said it better. It is refreshing to see comments like yours. Thank you and wish you a good new year.
@ASIANBOYZPRODUCTION And you think he's the only one? Society has always been corrupt. Get over it. Doesn't mean we all have to stop believing it might change someday. Although it most likely wont.
@OpiumNomad of course he's not the only one, but he's the biggest sold out in the U.S history. He is indeed a very deceiving guy, with the looks and speeches, he's definitely the biggest deceiver. In addition, he spend more than what the presidents before him in the last 150 years combined. Most of the money was given to the banks, especially Goldman sachs.
@ASIANBOYZPRODUCTION I perfectly understand how the monastery works. And i understand what you are trying to say. But money has always been relative, he doesn't only give money to the banks he does alot of other things with that money. In France Sarkozy spent i don't know how much money on weapons. Germany as well. America isn't the only country with a happy spending president. But i'd rather have Obama than Bush, let me tell you that.
@OpiumNomad monetary you mean. Anyways, Bush was not so great in pretending to be a dumb cowboy clown that they want him to be perceived. Obama in the other hand showed us that everything you say in the election means nothing in the white house. The only thing he did was to serve his money masters rather than do something that would benefit this country. The only reason people are afraid and want to deny the truth is because they are afraid to face reality.
@ASIANBOYZPRODUCTION I completely agree. But that wont change my mind, i still think we should give Obama a chance. I've always faced reality up close, never had a rich family, struggled alot in my life. I've always blamed society for this, but i realized that blaming them or being mad at them wont change a thing. They will always steal from people, and always lie... Unfortunately there's not a thing we can do about it. Change the president, same shit will happen.
@wildcavemann Haha, you dare call me retarded when you're the ignorant one. Who ever said i took sides in politics? I'm not even living in the US anymore, i'm traveling elsewhere. Call me retarded, but you know i'm right. You know that most states in the south hate Obama because of his skin color.
obama is doing a fabulous job in a virtually impossible position. won and ended the iraq qar overthrown dictators+ terrorist leaders, helped finish gaddhaffi/bin laden etc lowered unomployment, passed a universal healthcare bill, put tougher tariffs on chinese, improved stem cell research, fined/taxed bankers/oil companies, lowered middle class taxes, increased small businesses, disarmed 40% russian nukes, will close gitmo (only 170 left) etc
He was alot more funny when he shared his ideas for Obamacare. Only problem was he was actually serious. I am counting down the days til Nov 2012 so we can send this moron back to whatever country he came from. He's done more to destroy this nation in the short time he has been in office than the terriorist did on 9/11.
Let me just adress Obamacare: do you realize that practically all European states have public health care systems for decades now and they are all working perfectly? And if public health care is not good enough in your opinion (even though it will cover your needs), then you can always take private insurance in addition to really get the full treatment in case you have a serious injury or illness.
@Abaddon133 Communism is responsible for over 200 million deaths this century alone and it FAILED EVERYtime. Grow up, visit the Library, seek the TRUTH and stop watching all this garbage....While your at it look up Barry Smith 1993 Eye of the....and learn about the WORLD and lastly go outside, God Bless your soul and Mother Nature
What has communism got to do with it? I didn't even mention communism.
Oh wait, I know why you're asking: it seems you are a little ignorant about this topic. So let me tell you: having public health care doesn't mean you are living in a communist country. Not even remotely.
The root issue of the problem is that we have been condidtioned to expect government to "create" jobs. Only business owners create jobs. He is a complete failure. Don't give me the "congress isn't behind him" crap. He could have brought the troops home at any time. He makes excuses, you make excuses for him. Young american men and women die.
"I want to use all my strength, to resist the urge that I can run your life, or run the economy, or run the world"
rocketsmurf85: how can he turn 8 years of bush ruining in just 4 years if you were elected i wander how far better off america would be you do know the america is in debt because of bush. obama us trying his hardest to change things

President Obama undoubtedly has charisma and the intellect to match, but my Jury is out regarding his comedic talents. He is just a little too much on the book-ish side to pull this off. But he gave it a good try.
President Bush on the other hand was tv gold. Rarely if ever needed a script.. Just a shame, a great shame!, about his politics.
One of the worse President's we ever had. I dont agree with Republican or Democrat they all lie there way into the whitehouse promising things they never do once there in, politics are a joke now days. We need a president that does more doing and less talking.
I would say as a good start a "Real Black Man" NOT be 50% caucasian like the Failed NOBAMA...no wonder he turned into such a sell-out for those White Communist Democrat Devils. Black folk are not COMMUNISTS...my God, that's who these people are; they've said so, and they are attempting to enslave all of us with their promises of East Street. They are USING YOU! White Communist Democrats don't love you! WAKE UP!!!

HERE'S ANOTHER WAY TO LOOK AT THE DEBT CEILING
Let's say you come home from work and find there has been a sewer backup in your
neighborhood and your home has sewage all the way up to your ceilings.
What do you think you should do?
1. Raise the ceilings or,
2. Pump out the sewage.
Your choice is coming in November 2012

rr5001 1 month ago 27
@rr5001 giving money to bankers doesn't make him a capitalist. Its called cronyism. In a capitalistic or free-market society, this would never happen. This is sometimes what is called as crony capitalism - but in a way you can say that the more the tie-ups with big business and govt, more likely are we to witness such deals taking place
azzazin007 1 month ago
@azzazin007 you mean in your fantasy, Ron Paul neverland cronyism would never happen.
willythewildwino 1 month ago
@rr5001 Socialism is the government taking money from everybody and giving to a select few people / special interests. The government giving tax payer money to banks is socialism. I'm not sure if he did that or not, but obviously you don't know what socialism is.
azbpro 1 month ago 5
@azbpro Exact, at the beginning of a socialist system they redistribute the money to the less fortunate but then the fortunate find ways to redirect the money to special interest.
Big government = creating more problems that it solve.
ditendo 1 month ago
@azbpro Are you kidding me? Have you ever read a single fucking paragraph of Marx's "Das Kapital"? Socialism is first and foremost power to the people, after a revolution where the people is in control of the country's riches (factories, farming, science, etc.) and it is COMPLETELY EQUALLY SHARED regardless of what your social status is. And socialism in it's primal state has NEVER actually been used as a governing form in any country. Because of greed and corruption.
Entertekken 3 weeks ago 4
@Entertekken No I have not read a single paragraph of Marx's "Das Kapital". Lol. And socialism takes away all power from the people and gives it to the government. I don't have a problem with countries that are voluntarily socialist, but keep it out of America because it's against our constitution and we should always remain a free country where people have the rights to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
azbpro 3 weeks ago
@azbpro No, that's just my point. Socialism has never been actually used in a governing form, because the leaders of the so-called socialist countries (China, former USSR) have twisted it's meaning, and turned it into dictatorships. The only ones who would have their power taken away in an actual socialist nation, is the absurdly rich and the companies. With complete power to the people through democratic choice, all funds would go directly equally shared to each individual of the state
Entertekken 3 weeks ago
@Entertekken Marx did write his manifest as a picture of a utopian society. It can never happen as long as some people in the country find having more than they need more important, than the life, happiness and freedom of the people they live among. True socialism would stand against very little in your constitution, including the original bill of rights.
Entertekken 3 weeks ago
@Entertekken How can you have freedom in a socialistic society?
azbpro 2 weeks ago
@azbpro Well, how do you understand freedom? If you mean the pursuit of riches, then yeah, I guess your freedom would be taken away from you. But I don't really see that as an issue. You would still be able to pursue whatever job, religion, family value etc. that interested you, so from my perspective, there's no hinder to the 'pursuit of happiness'. But I think you're right. Too many people are far more concerned with valuables and ownership than value of life. So socialism would never
Entertekken 2 weeks ago
@Entertekken ...happen in today's society. Still, I think there's nothing wrong with pursuing some of the socialist goals, like free healthcare, education and food regardless of class. And that will undeniably cause a big taxation. But if you spend less money on weaponry and more on the latter, I think the US would be just fine :)
Entertekken 2 weeks ago
@Entertekken Haha I agree we should spend less on weaponry and only go to war when it's a declared war as outlined in the constitution and it is absolutely necessary for the well being of our nation. I also appreciate people who willingly donate to non-profit programs that help people without the government stealing their money and I prefer a society that works that way. Freedom works, you just have to believe in it. The government doesn't need to take away a single right to perfect society.
azbpro 2 weeks ago
@azbpro I guess that's just where you and I differ in opinions :) I stopped believing in the good in (all) people a long time ago. But seriously, socialism does not defer from: "no property shall be taken for public use without due process of law." There is due process of law if it's a completely socialist nation and all goods are gathered and divided equally among all people. The only freedom taken away is the freedom to get wealthier than others and exploit others. That's it.
Entertekken 2 weeks ago
@Entertekken Haha I guess neither of us can win this argument unless you convince me that being rich is a bad thing or I convince you that not every single person has to be a good person for a free society to work. The thing is, in order to work, socialism relies on a society where everyone is willing to accept the rules, and it does work in some countries like Finland mostly because everyone is of the same heritage, but in a diverse country where everyone has different goals in life and some
azbpro 2 weeks ago
@azbpro people are more ambitious than others freedom works best historically because everyone is given the right and opportunity to pursue their ambitions and live the life they want to live. That's basically the belief America was founded upon and I would much prefer if we returned to that belief in government.
azbpro 2 weeks ago
@azbpro That's true. I just don't believe everyone has the same opportunity to pursue their ambitions, if they live in a country with low or no taxes. If they're born into poverty or illness and do not have the means to treat themselves, then their ambitions will be severely restricted (eg. by dying). There should be a government to take care of the poor and the ill, and to keep people safe outside their homes. And for that you need taxes. So why not tax the rich the most?
Entertekken 2 weeks ago
@Entertekken Because in a free country, those rich people could be inventing break through medical technologies for the ill and creating job opportunities for the poor with the money that the government is instead stealing from them and giving directly to those people with no productive result and no way to prevent such events from happening again. Plus taxing people on their income is not fair because there is no way for the government to find out how much money you actually make.
azbpro 2 weeks ago
@azbpro This wouldn't even be a relevant issue in a socialist state, because first of all, all who work would be given the same amount of money. And an intelligent socialist state, would also fund science heavily. And in theory, without corruption, since companies would not exist, and the government would easier control what the money is used for. Secondly, no way to find out..huh? You don't have income control in the US? Just tax the companies, fortune holders and company leaders more.
Entertekken 2 weeks ago
@Entertekken Lol we have a constitution here in the United States, where do you live? The fourth amendment to our constitution says the government can't search our papers or effects, so they have no way of knowing what our income is, and it should stay that way. If you don't even live in the U.S. why do you care if we are free or not? The thing is, in a socialist state, once the taxpayers all lose their jobs and go bankrupt, then the government can't function anyways because there's no revenue.
azbpro 2 weeks ago
@Entertekken Also saying companies are corrupt is wrong, because the companies should have every right to be as corrupt as they want, as long as they don't force people to buy their products. The problem with government is they are corrupt and everyone is forced to buy their products and as a result we are forced to deal with the corruption, whereas with a free enterprise if they are corrupt they simply go out of business because they lose customers.
azbpro 2 weeks ago
@azbpro How can you say that it's okay for a company to be corrupt? Cheating others out of their hard earned money is never right, no matter who is doing it. And they only go out of business if their corruption is discovered, and then not even always, because their corruption spreads to the media and politicians, so they can twist the truth like they please. If a politician or a bank director was payed the same amount of money for their job as a house-cleaner, you'd only get people with
Entertekken 2 weeks ago
@azbpro an ambition to do good, instead of an ambition to gain more power. And you gotta remember why the government is corrupt. Because it is paid off by the rich. So logically, you should vote for the guy that wants to increase taxes the most on the rich and the multimillion dollar companies, because he would be the least corrupt :)
Entertekken 2 weeks ago
@Entertekken I say it's okay for a company to be corrupt because no one is being forced to use their services, and if people don't use their services because they don't like that company, then they go out of business. As a result, companies can't be corrupt because if they are then the go out of business. If the government is corrupt they don't go out of business, they just continue being corrupt. And it's ironic that a socialist would argue about "cheating others out of hard earned money".
azbpro 2 weeks ago
@Entertekken Also an ambition to do good is an ambition to gain power, because how can you possibly do any good if you have no power.
azbpro 2 weeks ago
@azbpro Because with the ambition to do good, you would accept the power and as such become a better leader than one who only does it for the power/riches/fame whatever. How is it ironic that I argue about that? Because others who claim to be socialists have abused their power? Stalin wasn't a true socialist and neither were Kim Jong-il. They were dictators become so because of lust for power. You think Reagan or Bush J. were much better? They just concealed it when they murdered people.
Entertekken 2 weeks ago
@Entertekken No I don't think Bush was better. I also agree someone with good ambitions working in politics should not accept a high pay. That is why I support Ron Paul because he is the only presidential candidate who would drop the presidential salary down to the average American worker salary. But in the private sector who cares what your wage is the tax payers are not forced to pay you anything and everything you earn is from people who voluntarily paid you, that's their freedom.
azbpro 2 weeks ago
@azbpro Bush wasn't a capitalist in my opinion, as you believe Stalin and Kim Jong-il were not socialists. The thing is capitalism has worked in the past, under people like Warren Harding and Calvin Coolidge, were the government has stayed out of the people's business and America was a very prosperous country. Socialism has never worked in a culturally diverse country and it's technically against our constitution in the U.S. anyways. Do you live in the U.S. just curious?
azbpro 2 weeks ago
@azbpro It sounds like I haven't found the worst republican in the batch then :) No, I'm Danish. We have a decent healthcare-system and low crime but we also have very high taxes :) I don't know the two presidents you're referring to except by name. My problem is exactly that. Practical examples. Socialism is still a utpoian theory, it has never worked. It has never been allowed to work, and I think the reason is a basic human flaw. Greed. Still, the balance in my country I believe is
Entertekken 2 weeks ago
@Entertekken Haha did I say I was Republican? Well I guess I am since i'm voting for a Libertarian candidate running for the Republican party... but I tend to prefer Libertarian ideals. The Republicans seem to be big government people when it comes to warfare and dealing with people's social lives. The Democrats are big government when it comes to Welfare, taxes, and regulations. I just prefer small government.
azbpro 2 weeks ago
@azbpro Fair enough. I just think that a society where companies are given free reign, the larger companies will gather so much power that it starts to get really uncomfortable for regular Joes to live in such a society. Eventually they would become governments of their own, after all it only takes power to rule. I know a lot of people would call it conspiracy and whatnot, but I think it's already happening, below the surface. They do get caught, once in a while. By the big government :)
Entertekken 2 weeks ago
@Entertekken Yea, it would be very difficult to do that with a company, because you can't force anyone to pay you, but if you could make a product or service that enough people needed and were willing to pay you for then you could probably do it. I'm just not sure if that's really possible without the media going mad and other companies buying your stocks and devaluing them. I personally like big companies like Microsoft and Google when they create great products.
azbpro 2 weeks ago
@azbpro Yeah, but I think they hold too much power. They can easily sway the media into saying what they want them to say. One other thing, I just wanna get your feeling on it. I think the economic crisis is 100% due to capitalism. Speculation, inflation and consumerism led to it. Would you agree to some degree?
Entertekken 2 weeks ago
@Entertekken Well the economic crisis we are having in America is because of the government printing way too much money to pay for all the war&welfare spending they are doing. In addition we have the highest corporate tax rate in the world so all the jobs are getting shipped to countries with lower tax rates. Also our taxes rates are constantly changing and our tax code is long and confusing so it's really hard for startup companies to compete with the big guys and create new products and jobs.

Unfortunately government has done the same thing in the U.S., they took over healthcare and have mostly taken education and as a result prices are going up and the quality of the healthcare / education is degrading. I think roads are something the government should do, but education and healthcare absolutely not. That's what insurance companies are for.
azbpro 2 weeks ago
@azbpro very beneficial to us, switching from socialist(influenced) to capitalist leaders has worked very well for us so far, except for the bureaucratic nonsense associated with the change.
Entertekken 2 weeks ago
@Entertekken I don't separate one freedom from another, freedom is freedom, whether it's freedom of religion or freedom of unreasonable search and seizure. A government capable of taking away one freedom is a government capable of taking away all freedom, and according to the 4th amendment we have the right to remain secure in our possessions and according to the 6th amendment no property shall be taken for public use without due process of law. Really i'm telling you... read the constitution.

Sinekyre14 2 weeks ago
@Sinekyre14 Hey, Socialism isn't destroying your economy, the whole world is in the shit can. except for maybe Canada. It's the whole economic situation that was caused by too many countries borrowing money from other countries and not being able to pay down the debts. China is now the super power with a growing strong economy. China now makes all the products we consume and everything else is outsourced to India.
dontaskmeplz123 1 week ago
@dontaskmeplz123 - I completely agree with you, if socialism is voluntary, then i'm fine with it. In fact, I would be fine with communism if it was voluntary. What I do not agree with is using socialism in the United States, where it would not be voluntary and actually go against our constitution and freedoms promised by it.
azbpro 1 week ago
@Entertekken Marxism views the socialist system as being prepared by the historical development of capitalism. Capitalism according to Marxist theory can no longer sustain the living standards of the population due to its need to compensate for falling rates of profit by driving down wages, cutting social benefits and pursuing military aggression
dontaskmeplz123 2 weeks ago
@dontaskmeplz123 That's right. But how did that go against anything I said? Communism is developed from socialism, and I mentioned both China and the USSR as being "not true socialism". I am from Denmark myself, I know quite well how good socialism has been for our nation :)
Entertekken 2 weeks ago
@Entertekken Okay... I would prefer to live in a society where it is possible to advance your social standing and get rich, but I can understand people who would want to live like that. I can't really imagine socialism ever working however, because its more of an ant colony thing than something humans would be willing to sacrifice their possessions and freedoms for.
azbpro 2 weeks ago
@Entertekken you may find that China and the Former Soviet Union are communist countries not socialist take a look at France, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, they are Socialist. they are diverse countries I think a lot of people who are commenting are confusing Fascism and communism with Socialism look at the root word, "Social"
dontaskmeplz123 2 weeks ago
@Entertekken yeah but does that not remove the incentive for hard work and getting far in life? Marxism relies on people to be self sufficient - its about a particular, ideal image of a human evolving overtime and creating a sort of utopia on earth. It just won't work, I've read a better book, its called "Animal Farm" and that really breaks down Marxism and the concept, and shows how it has failed in the past.

@greendaylover4 look at North Korea and China - a third of North Korea's population is malnourished and Mao was responsible for the starvation and deaths of millions of Chinese people during his reign as the leader. @azbpro really? hmm, have you taken a good look at the socialist countries in Europe, like Sweden, Norway etc. yes the government has high taxes but the citizens of those countries are looked after in their elderly years, schooling, university, medical, dental and prescription drugs are free, women get two years maternity leave at near to full pay. everyone is looked after not just the select few.
dontaskmeplz123 2 weeks ago
@dontaskmeplz123 I don't deny socialism works very well in countries where everyone is of a single heritage, but when you take socialism to a free country with a diverse population and everyone has different wills and ambitions no one wants the government telling them how to spend their money or spying on their everyday lives. Capitalism & freedom works best in a free country, and usually when you try to mix in socialism what you actually get is corporatism, which is giving to a select few.
azbpro 2 weeks ago
@azbpro Precisely. I can attest to this after having lived in Norway my whole life. A country with ONE ethnic group has a more altruistic and trusting atmosphere, where everyone can share without any abuse.
Multiculturalism is destroying america, and all "modern nations". If you truly study history and look at what happened to Rome, Greece, Egypt, greatness has been brought to its knees because of multiculturalism and integration of lower races. Study it and you'll see.

In addition, he spend more than what the presidents before him in the last 150 years combined. Most of the money was given to the banks, especially Goldman sachs.
ASIANBOYZPRODUCTION 1 month ago
@ASIANBOYZPRODUCTION I perfectly understand how the monastery works. And i understand what you are trying to say. But money has always been relative, he doesn't only give money to the banks he does alot of other things with that money. In France Sarkozy spent i don't know how much money on weapons. Germany as well. America isn't the only country with a happy spending president. But i'd rather have Obama than Bush, let me tell you that.
OpiumNomad 1 month ago
@OpiumNomad monetary you mean. Anyways, Bush was not so great in pretending to be a dumb cowboy clown that they want him to be perceived. Obama in the other hand showed us that everything you say in the election means nothing in the white house. The only thing he did was to serve his money masters rather than do something that would benefit this country. The only reason people are afraid and want to deny the truth is because they are afraid to face reality.
ASIANBOYZPRODUCTION 1 month ago
@ASIANBOYZPRODUCTION I completely agree. But that wont change my mind, i still think we should give Obama a chance. I've always faced reality up close, never had a rich family, struggled alot in my life. I've always blamed society for this, but i realized that blaming them or being mad at them wont change a thing. They will always steal from people, and always lie... Unfortunately there's not a thing we can do about it. Change the president, same shit will happen.

@OpiumNomad if you knew how the monetary works then you would understand what I'm saying.

@OpiumNomad its funny how democrats (what republicans use to say) say this now and republicans are doing what democrats are doing when we had bush.
ps your retarded for playing the race card.
wildcavemann 1 month ago

Public health care does good for everyone.

@The1deemann

I'm not saying Obama is a perfect president, but one big factor things have been moving slower is because the GOP keeps rejecting almost everything.

TheSolaris810 2 months ago

WAKE UP!!!
