Hey, thanks for the vid. I bought one the quad core version though.
I was wondering what version of vistais with the laptop. Because if it's the 32 bit we waist 1 Gb ram. And the other question is do we lose the warranty if we overclock the laptop with the turbo button at 20%?
i prefer dual core if i can save £200 bz what will i do for extra 2 processor i play games with use my ati 4850. quad core is good if u doing many things at the same time i dont .
you ll get the same performances as game use grapic card a depending on the game some design to use more cpu ex gta5 but even in that case its the first cpu which count in ur case it 2ghz so that ll performce slightly less compare to a 2.6 if u can see my point
yes i think u can still play crysis nicly i did as 4850 is very powerfull card for a laptop u can also oc ur gpu in ati catalyst control centre only if u really need it. also crysis warhead got many bugs and specialy on the last level it ll keep freezing if that happend its not ur laptop its the game ok
and i think u can only get physx in NVIDIA PhysX-ready GeForce processors.
there might be something for ati but i m not aware of it u need to do some research
it does my friend up to a 24% let me show you how, Go into the bios, scroll over to the advanced tab. Once in advanced press the Alt key and the insert key. This will bring up the advanced features, default overlcock is 16%, change it to 20% and save and exit. DO NOT go to 24%, your notebook will crash!
but you can it will crash a couple of time after that it will run fine do it on your own risk
Thanks for sharing with us , you helped sway me , I bought one now . How differant is playing games with ddr3 and how good is 4850 card . Could you post what games you've tried on here please . Thanks again anyways ! Can't wait till mine gets here
Just to update you have now played a couple myself ( Gears of War which played perfectly , Unreal Tournement 3 another great ) but high end I played GTA4 which run , but nowhere near topend but playable . Saints Row 2 , Demanding but however did play well . All in all I am really happy with this laptop , could you please send me info on overclocking . and what settings you use for fater running . Thanks in advance
its depending on what laptop u got msi gt725 does not have any heat problem even if u play crysis for 6 hours the max i have seen is 68 *c
u can go to tinypic(dot)com and search for faisalhero u will see all the pic i uploded and beanchmark also search msi gt725 u have some them there as well u can also see what underneath this hood the heat sink
Hey cheers for these vids man. I'm looking at picking up an Advent 6555 next week so it was nice to see this and hear your opinions on it before I do, you seeing as they are pretty much the same Laptop, lol.
thanks hopefully u ll get the job but seriouly why do u wanna waste ur money on alienware ? they are over priced i ll strongly recomend the gt725 to anyone or gt627 if u looking for a 15inc .
Beautiful laptop, but one thing seems disapointing. I tought that it would look like brushed aluminium and not that shiny. But otherwise awsome laptop. I have Gateway P7811FX which is great value for the money also, maybe even better :)) But i am seriously thinking about buying that GT725 MSI laptop.
And good luck with your new laptop and have fun with it! Greets from Estonia,
arghh u suck lol im waiting to get my gaming laptop the place i applied for got my app so im hoping i get hired, then im opening a checking account after 1 month work putting a lease on alienware laptop,,( in all seriousness nice laptop man
That was the firewire port :D just a heads up. Awesome job and congrats this notebook looks alot like the gateway FX but it has red accents instead it also looks really good, congrats

What would you recommand, quad core at 2Ghz or the dual core?

yes it comes with 32bit vista and it only use 3gb ram.
no you ll not lose the warrenty from turbo over clocking i have mine ovclock to 24% but i would nt recomend it keep at 20%
you ll only lose warrenty if u use a external software to oc or use moded bios to oc ok

Will I get the same/better performance in game as the dual core version or worse?

I see your point. Will I'll still be bale to play Crysis on very high with decent FPS?
Can we use one of the other cpu do the physX?
I know physX is made by Nvidia, but i've heard that if we didn't have a physX card, the cpu would do most of the job.
Thansk for the help mate
