Something about this bothered me. I'm suspicious about people who appoint themselves as the protector or others. Sounds exactly like "We're the government and we're here to help." When stating that 'if some sheep didn't want to be protected ..." He had a really hard time getting out the words 'that's their choice'. The sheepdog mentality is exactly why tens of thousands were rounded up, disarmed and put in camps after Katrina. I think that is closer to what most of these sheepdogs would do.
@tzychess He wasn't criticizing fat people in general, he was emphasizing physical fitness. You cannot honestly argue that being overweight is a good thing in any way. I don't think he was saying that fat people are somehow less patriotic or care less for their families safety.
I’ve been physically fit all of my life…fast, slender, and strong.
My point is that I know enough fat people to understand that sometimes that is just the way it is going to be. Some people are just going to be fat - period.
I would rather accept everybody with our mindset, regardless of their physical capabilities.
Fat people already know that they should not be fat. There is no point in this guy having an attitude that makes people feel excluded.
@TheHossUSMC as a uhmmm bigger guy I can say I wasn't offended. i do have a ccw and i'm prepping but i'm honest enough with myself to know i'm not gonna be running and gunning. and come on, fat cops are a waste of tax dollars, you can't catch bad guys with good intentions and gravy stains on your badge so i'm with you here. he was simply saying if your profession requires you to be able to run and gun, or be a first responder then you better be fit and healthy.
