  • yes, back when music had emotion and feeling.

  • I am a huge fan of simple minds

  • @nzuri25 Yeah me too they have grown on me I never liked them all that much in the 80's but I have come around

  • does anybody remember the days when there were cool bands like this and when they put an album out EVERY single track was a hit , like, the whole album didn't have a single bad song on it? oh for those days to return...

  • Brings back old New Romantic memories.

  • Always thought NGD was their last great album, still sounds great today.I remember Jim Kerr saying at the time that he listened to Diana Ross ,and not Joy Division as everyone presumed. This song certainly has a hint of Upside Down to it-shame JK became too obsessed with U2 and Bono after this.

  • dear lord, can't you guys get over yourself with all this about past music bla bla nowadays music bla bla. also there is nothing more annoying than those teenagers trying to feed their ego telling how young they are for the amazingly good taste in music they have..... bunch of assholes. can't people simple enjoy the music and leave the rest of the world alone?

  • @RomancerSweet sorry disagree. There isn't any modern music worth talking about. It all maunfactured sh1te so why not talk about music when it WAS great and you associated it with happy memories. Nothing wrong with that

  • when music was an artform, not like todays crap.

  • Best slap baseline ever!

  • I'm 14, and I get told to me I have shit taste in music, what?! The music these day's talk about MONEY all the time!

Like this if you love the 70's 80's 90's!

  • perfect ! i could never get over how beautiful and outstanding this song was when it broke.....still can't. belief IS a beauty thing !

  • WYDD-FM 104.7 Pittsburgh did their New Music Mondays back in the very early 80's....opened with this....God this brings back memories....thanks!

  • I remember buying this 12" ...hated it straight away! (What the fuck is this?! ;-))

I love Simple Minds up to this point (still do).... astonishing band of that time. (I mean really cutting edge!)

I guess they decided to change their audience. I don't know what happened to them after this, but they certainly sold lots of records and became very famous!

  • this band changed my outlook on music...forever..

  • This song and Catwalk are my hands down faves by these guys. Great music you could dance to yet wasn't empty, unsatisfying "dance music". Ahhhh yeah, great stuff, great times! I'd just gone from 70s died in the wool rocker to devoted New Wave convert! A lot of pretty girls, a lot of great parties...being young rocked! Those nights'd probably kill my ass now! Thanks for sharing, peace out!

  • gawjus. my heart left me in 1993, but i am still here THANKFULLY to listen to my fav e band. 3 x times now. overwhelming every time

  • gawjus

  • Yeah, but its not as good as N Dubz is it? - Nah, I'm only joking! In fact the world changes shape doesnt it! It's me who left my heart in my headphones in 1981, 82, 83, 84!

  • This was damn good song at the time it came out but it is wishful thinking and nostalgia to claim that insipid pop crap didn't exist back then or have we forgotten about Wham! already?

  • @milesthered Early Wham was good stuff actually... check "Sub Tropicana" by Wham!!!

  • @bigreed43 - Yes, I remember Club Tropicana like I was listening to it yesterday. It was a likeable song but it doesn't take away from the fact that Wham was regarded in much the same light as Justin Bieber is today. Wham was the music that put me off pop music for life.

  • @milesthered Early Wham was pretty good actually....check "Club Tropicana"!!!

  • Amazing song...!!

  • best Simple Minds tune!

  • What a classic tune. I had unforgetable experiences traveling around the globe listening this album and other classics.

    Will never forget :-)

  • goo new golddream ;D

  • Just perfect. The best 80's song

  • beautiful rocky sound from 1982, 28 years ago. Young man of 24 then.

  • @leedumett444

Agreed, there should born new "80. years bands":-)

  • Wow, this takes me back to when Music had feeling. Band played instruments and weren't manufactured pap or talent show winners.
