Thank You so much for posting this video...I used to have this album on cassette, but I had to get rid of all my cassettes. That was a sad day...I had over 200 of them...all my 80's music gone.
Wow. I have been wondering on and off the last few years about this band. I used to fall asleep watching videos and I remember waking up in the middle of the night hearing this and liking it a lot, and fell back to aseep. I never really saw the video again. More recently I would ask people if they rememeberd a band called in the eighties named Zot. They would look at me like as if I were crazy, who?? Thanks for posting this video. It brings back good memories.
Holy Crap! I never knew there was a video for this song. My best friend at the time this came out had put it on a mix tape for me. I had never heard of them. I played the hell out of this song! I love it!!!
ok i remember seeing the premiere of this on mtv. Zot was in the mtv studio talking about the release of the album and video. this just popped in my head so i looked it up on here and bam! here it is. Unbelievable. This jams. 1984 was a helluva year.
Glad to know Randy is still kicking, after hearing about Pats passing, it leaves you to wonder especially when you can't get any info. He had a very unique voice, and was a pretty good musician if I remember. Been a lot of years...LOL
@greendayz55 WOW! So happy to hear that Randy, your dad, is still singing. He is a very talented man! I have Zot's album and was a friend from "back in the day"! I was sad to hear about the loss of guitarist Pat Knowles. Zot will always be one of my favorite memories from when I was growing up! C.J.
@greendayz55 I worked on the synth sounds on the album here in Wales, UK and played live keyboards with Zot along with Tom Calderaro so Randy was free to run about the stage!
So cool to see this video again. Always wanted this on CD, ended up engineering my own from a pristine LP. I still listen to Zot frequently, brings back great memories of when music was less generic, and we still had positive outlooks. Thanks Bill
And to think (back then) I actually thought it was Evolution instead of Revolution. I really thought I was going to go to work dressed up like that...
I remember this video and song very well. I was able to pick up the cassette several years ago on eBay from a guy in England and was pleased to hear several other songs of similar quality. I always thought these guys were Brits! Went to perrin's site and discovered they were from SoCal. Big surprise. Brings back memories of early MTV days. Great!
Nice one Bill! I have a crusty PAL VHS copy only. I recently found pictures of rehearsals in Dead Zone and live at Costa Mesa supporting Culture Club.

I had this album 1st on vinyl (in mid-80s), then on cassette (off EBay in 90s), & now digitally, so I now have great sound quality 4ever.
So I swore this band was Brit as Randy Wayne sang in that accent, rather Bowie-like to excellent effect.
Should've gone BIG but they only did 1 vid, as I saw on MTV wayyy back.
Other great songs are "I Believe in Miracles", "I Told U From the Start", "Bright Nights", "Something in My Heart."
Really really good melodic pop-rock from 80s era. Superb.

I grew up a block away from Chris Stewart the drummer. He is a great guy. Anyone know where he is these days? - Tyler Stringer
