People think just because you have a handicap placard you are guaranteed "good parking". Nothing could be further from the truth though.
Unfortunately, there are so many people illegally using these damn placards even genuine disabled people can't easily find a decent parking spot.
Can't tell you how many times I've sen people literally HOP out of their car and briskly walk into the store. And some of them are the same people claiming they are in great pain but you just can't "see" it.
I wanted to thank you for doing this video :-) I am a C5/C6 T6 incomplete quad and I am always amazed by the ppl who are perfectly able to pull out a handicap placard and RUN into a store
LMAO! I am Handicapped wheelchair user, and I got the humor of this instantly. I have been burned by those lazy turds that park in the spots reserved. Nice video, and I will be sharing your Channel to my viewers. :)
@velcrodingleberries If you ever decide to do this video again, ratchet up the comedy a notch by jumping on your pogo stick in the parking place. :o) LOL
Great Video. Your doing Great Job! I have been cussed, threatened etc for taking videos of people abusing handicapped parking here in San Antonio. My wife is handicapped, thats what made me notice this so much. I have only gone out about 5 / 6 times from Dec. to Feb and have about 30 videos of the dirtbags posted or scheduled for my website unfrackinbelievable com. The new $500 fine may help, but I doubt it...Jim
I am sorry if I made anyone feel badly. That was not my intention when I made this video. Maybe, it will serve to educate folks about invisible handicaps.
@velcrodingleberries: You did not make me feel bad. Too often a PWD that do not look disabled but still parked legally in Handicapped Parking Spaces are often confronted by angry people that are underneath the false impression that the PWD is not truly Disabled and incorrectly thinks that the PWD is parking illegally in a Handicapped Parking Space and that the Handicapped Parking Permit does not rightfully belong to the PWD.
@velcrodingleberries: I heard many frighting stories about angry people confronting Disabled PWDs legally parked in Handicapped Parking Spaces including one story about a knife that was pulled on a Disabled PWD legally parked in Handicapped Parking Space in a store parking lot because the people incorrectly thought that the "Disabled PWD was not truly Disabled and was parking illegally in the Handicapped Parking Space".
@velcrodingleberries: The people that confronted the Disabled PWD incorrectly thought that the Disabled PWD was a Fake-Pretend PWD that was parking illegally in the Handicapped Parking Space. I realize that you are trying to do a good service for the PWD Community by posting your video but I am concerned that people that view your video and that know nothing about invisible Disabilities will confront PWDs with invisible Disabilities who legally park in Handicapped Parking Spaces.
@velcrodingleberries: You should post another video that deals with PWDs with invisible Disabilities that legally parks in Handicapped Parking Spaces but are often accused of being Fake-Pretend PWDs that parks illegally in Handicapped Parking Spaces. By doing this you will help destroy old stereotyped ideals of what a truly Disabled Person is and that sometimes a truly Disabled PWD does not always use a wheelchair but still has a legitimate need for a Handicapped Parking Space.
That is a good idea for a video. Thanks for understanding my true intentions of making the the video. We are on the same team. I wish you well. i am going do more to help than make videos.
@velcrodingleberries: I hope you do the suggested video. Yes, I do understand your intentions of making the video, and yes, we are on the same team. Me and the rest of the PWD Community thanks you for helping to prevent illegal handicapped parking because it is greatly appreciated! I love the humorous approach that you took with your video! When I viewed your video it brought a smile to my face! Keep up the good work and I wish you well in your efforts in preventing illegal handicapped parking.
Please do not judge a PWD to be a Fake-Pretend PWD if they do not look truly Disabled when they park legally in a Handicapped Parking Space Permit because they could have an invisible Disability and still not use Disability mobility equipment but still be truly Disabled due to the type of invisible Disabilities they they have. Not all PWDs fit the stereotyped ideals of what a truly Disabled Person is but yet the PWD is still truly Disabled that they do require Handicapped Parking.
Too often a PWD that legally parks in Handicapped Parking Spaces is judged to be a Fake-Pretend PWD that illegally parks in Handicapped Parking Spaces if they get out of the car and walk to the back of the car and get a wheelchair out of the car trunk and then sit in the wheelchair and wheel them self to the store. Not all Disabilities are visible and PWDs that have invisible Disabilities are often judged to be Fake-Pretend PWDs when they legally park in Handicapped Parking Spaces.
Due to 4 types of chronic pain and other Disabilities, I am now forced to use a manual Wheelchair, a Power Wheelchair and a 4 wheel electric Handicapped Scooter which means I fit the stereotyped ideals of what a truly Disabled Person should look like which means I will not be judge as a Fake PWD. Please do not judge a PWD who does not look truly Disabled at first glance but yet they legally park in Handicapped Parking Spaces due to pain, arthritis, and other types of invisible Disabilities.
When I first got my Handicapped Parking Space Permit, I did NOT fit the stereotyped ideals of what a truly Disabled Person should look like that many people without Disabilities have about what a truly Disabled Person should like and I would had been judge as as a Fake PWD who illegally parks in Handicapped Parking Spaces. 25 years later I now fit the stereotyped ideals of what a truly Disabled Person should look like.
Pain is an invisible Disability that can truly Disabled a person to the point of where they do require Handicapped Parking but the person does not look truly Disabled at first glance but the person is judged to be a Fake-Pretend PWD who illegally parks in Handicapped Parking Spaces. I originally got my Handicapped Parking Space Permit due to deformed ankles-feet. I was able to stand and walk
but I would had been judged as a Fake PWD who illegally parks in Handicapped Parking Spaces.
I am a registered Disabled PWD. I have a Permanent Handicapped Parking Space State Permit. I have seen many illegal parked cars in Handicapped Parking Spaces. I dislike Fake-Pretend PWDs including people who illegally park in Handicapped Parking Spaces. These people should get a $1,000 parking fine! There are various invisible Disabilities that require Handicapped Parking.
"Handicapped" is offensive to various PWDs including myself. Please use the phrase "Persons With Disabilities" (PWDs).
I did not make this video to put down handicapped people. I made this video to put down people who make believe to be handicapped in order to steal parking spots from those who truly are handicapped. My mother who's placard I used to make the video can no longer even utilize her card and i certainly am not making fun of her or any other handicapped individual. I feel for your medical condition and I truly hope you feel better. I will pray for you and I hope this did not cause you any further pai
For anyone who 'fakes' any tye of injury to obtain a legal Handicapped parking sticker, you should be shot!!! I have a true disability (stroke patient having weakened the right side of my body, fractured spine causing great pain and walking issues, degenerated spinal disks, breathing issues which lead to inability to walk far and other problems) and, if you're going to take my parking, take my disabilities as well! I object to idioti videos like this which make fun of those truly handicapped !!
dont get me wrong, it is exhausting and painful being pregnant, but it is self inflicted and a fact of life, why should you get special treatment. that space could be another disabled space that someone could really need.
thanks for faving my video. I see from your page you like Ron Paul. Anybody who likes Ron can't be all bad. Nice poetry, longfoot or maybe longfellow.
you bet, im a ron paul supporter..its just too bad he didnt have a uh...whats the words....the superficial likability that is required appearently to appeal to the masses.. i noticed, with great distress, that people only focused on his "crazyness"...i dont know for sure if people rejected him based solely on his quirky behavior, or if they were just using that as a distraction because they didnt agree with his obvious correct views on things...but...well im still blown away by peoples reaction
let me tell you in Toronto, its hard to spot someone that does not have a handicapped permit, It rediculous i see them, young/ old /ethnic/ white....and they all make me sick...PEOPLE if everyone went around taking advantage of everywhere they could.....what would be left?
Yah theres a loop hole....like poor governing, but how do you look at yourself in the mirror with not seeing a pudddle of shit, because thats all i see;)
In Canada, a lot of handicap parking spots are stupid. There is a wheel chair ramp to the path, from the parking spot! As soon as we park there, the ramp is blocked and unusable. Many times we have to park at the BACK of the parking lot just to keep the ramp clear and hope we get to it before someone else with a permit parks there and blocks it. People who design them should actually try it in a wheelchair after parking to see if it works, or is foolishly stupid.
@nibel13 Well good for you. I hope those were ten minutes well spent on a comment I made a year ago. Now get out there in life and break a leg. I'm sure someone wants a wimp around to feel bad for.
HA! This is great! The Break dancing in the spot was funny as hell! I want to join a Volunteer disabled parking enforcement! Don't let these people get away with it! that's what I say.. More funny videos on important subjects!
I am a volunteer for our county disabled parking enforcement. Some people may get away with parking in d/s some of the time, but they eventually get caught and it's a hefty fine here where I live (at least $360.00).
This is a funny video for what it is. But if he were in my county and I saw him doing this or even suspected fraud, he'd be found out.
As for doctores being paid to give out placards to people who don't need them, I doubt too many doctors do that, it's too big of a fine for them.
Once again as indicated prior to the video, this video is directed at those fake handicapped status in order to deprive the legitametly handicapped people of their deserved and needed parking spots.Should you wish something so terrible as that on my wife, for pointing out the abuse that goes on or should you be wishing it on those who are commiting the abuses? Pay attention to the message before you reply.
Ignorant pricks who judge other people they don't know based on how they APPEAR are worse then fake handicapped parkers. This is the type of jackass who give people like me grief because they THINK they know my condition because I appear to be okay. They are so smart in fact they can see heart conditions, scars under clothing and how they'll be when they leave. Beats not being smart enough to know you can't judge people based on appearance.
I'll never cease to understand how people can say such ignorant/dumb things. Nice to know you begrudge the disabled for having dedicated spots. Since you aren't able to grasp this, let me explain..how the F**k do you know how big the store is or how much I walk?? If I have an emergency with my heart, I need to go fast. If I buy something it's far easier to park close. For what many of us deal with daily, frankly a better parking space isn't really much to ask for.
Yet another dumb post. First you say that I walk "the whole" store yet have absolutely no idea where I walk or how big it is. Where did I say I went to the mall? Now you suggest I'm taking "the only one" preventing lift vehicles from parking, again an ASSumption which is wrong again. Do you not get that people can walk into a store and need help OUT? Ever heard of an "EMERGENCY"? I guess us cripples can do anything since we "can walk" into a store. LOL.
Sure, you have a STORE emergency, park in the spot, LOL. Store emergency... that is awesome, I can't wait to share that on the disabled sites! ROFLMAO!
I did not write "walk into the store", apparently you are too "crippled" to read.
I am convinced now that you're just being sarcastic. Noone is this dumb. Who said "STORE" emergency? Since you're clearly not real smart, I'll explain..MEDICAL emergencies can happen anywhere with people who have different disabilities. I wouldn't expect you to understand that though. I'll tell you what, send me a message, next time your lazy ass wants a space I'm in, I'll move for you since you clearly are too lazy to lose one or two spaces for handicapped people. Post more though..it's funny.
Let's get rid of ramps since you assume some handicapped people can walk up a stair or two, get rid of wheelchairs since they can take a few steps without them! Those automatic doors, gone since you saw a handippaed guy open a door on his own, so they all can open all of them all the time. Since they are able to leave the house and walk in a store by themselves, they're fine..you can have the spot Einstein.
As indicated in the begining of the song, the video is dedicated to those who deprive legitamitly handicapped people of their parking spots.
Should the people who exagerate their injuries to their doctors have their backs broken or should the doctors who know their doctor shopping patients will go elseware. If the moneygrubbing doctors had any balls whatsoever, they would tell the nondisabled, that he/she is not eligible for a handicapped parking space!
There are only four criteria that doctors are supposed to use before writing that letter to the DMV!
the loss of, or the loss of the use of, a lower extremity.
the loss of, or the loss of the use of, an upper extremity.
severe heart disease (unable to walk more than 100 feet).
severe pulmonary disease.
