@troybulling throw on a mohair jumper, over a crazy wedge hairstyle, add some seriously cool women, and slowly bring to the boil. !! this still sounds just like it did back then f@ckin awesome!!
Fastflyer - u bring me joy in all the casssettes that are nearly dead but will hold on to my dying day. I love your tunes becuase its my era and my kids think I'm past it.Have booked a Caister with me & best friend to celebrate our 50th this year.
This is some breezy vibez right here! the sound is 'tight' and its cool as a tall ice tea on a hot summer day!!!! LOL Bring the smoovness. Great Trak! LVS
The problem with this exquisite record and magnificent performance had to do with the record label, Capitol Records, which was not known for a strong R & B promo department in the U.S.---which the same could be said about most major labels during the day. By 1980, labels had become more polarized in the fact that there were separate Top 40, Black, jazz radio promo departments, each targeting the stations within their format for airplay. "Say You Will" should have been a monster on U.S. airwaves.
Memorable Top Tune! Big Up to this one and even bigger up to the guys who danced and freaked to it back in the real day!! Remamber, Old Vinyl never dies, it just Warps! Nuff said!

Eddie Henderson.....even his name sounds fantastic.....brilliant trumpeter and so underrated.....just like Ronnie Laws was on his saxophone......these guys, along with Dexter Wansel were all UNSUNG HEROES!!!
I was 17 when this came out white teenager in Manchester into jazz funk, my friends and i went to Rafters in Manchester where this and many jazz/funk songs were aired...the bomb!! how I wish i could turn back the clock they were some very...very soulful times
pure class man!
