  • just cuz its a mark vi doesnt mean its good. you should put up the serial number, that way we can figure out if its pre -fire or post- fire

  • The Buescher is the better of the two imo. Has a richer sound, maybe more spread than the VI.

  • The Buescher takes the prize, richer and more interesting. The MarkVI sounds nice and regular but boring compared to the Top Hat. Could be the way the recording picks up various sound aspects. Would be cool if you could compare the 400 with a Martin Committee, another great classic with wonderful complexities. Sounds like a wine commercial. Thank you much for your videos and mp3s. ! Really a fine service. Mike

  • The 400 has bigger balls...

  • I liked the bish best, is this the later version with left hand bell keys?

    nice one

  • The Bish served the dish and put the 6 in the stix!

  • to catch the tone quality and answer, you should make much better recordings. There is a guy here on you tube posting wonderful sax posts he's from canada and has a conn on display. Forgot the guys name, sorry

  • The TH&C is awesome! You are a good playe also.

  • The Selmer sounds terrible.

  • Personally, Chad, I liked you a little better on the Selmer. I like Selmers and Bueschers and myself have a few Bueschers. Either way, you're a real good player!

  • the buescher is way better. the selmer sound like a student horn..

  • deffently 400 but the slmaer is a killer also great horns

  • I'm partial to the rich sound of the Buescher Top Hat & Cane personally. Bought my son a 400 alto and an Aristocrat Tenor both in near mint condition and he loves playing them as well

  • Sometimes Sarge puts me on the spot for these videos but we would like to know your pick! Buescher 400 or Mark VI?? Which one tickles your ear? Please comment/vote. Thanks.

  • @ChaddDoubleD: Yeah, we aren't too impressed with the sound quality in the transfer to Youtube this time. We've elected to stick to our mp3 samples at our website which we upload with our H2 Zoom = awesome. We truly appreciate all feedback/emails about them and which ones you're dieing to hear. Every opinion counts in the sax-world, and thanks for all the encouraging comments on my playing! :)

    Regards, Chadd&Steve

  • @ChaddDoubleD I liked the Buescher best, check the sound quality of my posts using a Sanyo Xacti dual HD.
