Outstanding vid... When people ask me what ammo is the best... I just give them a link to your vids... Thanks for your hard work on making the best ammo vids...
Andre, thanks for your work into making this. I know it was fun to make, but there are some of City folk (I hear the chicken crowing in the back) who dont have the privilege of having an area we conduct our own experiments. I definitely gained and appreciate your work into this. Thanks again.
The gold dots I had on hand are an older version. The newer version we tested in .40 S&W did much better. In my opinion, the Ranger-T's are top dog, with a close following by the HST round. I am hoping to get some of the current production gold dots to test in the next batch.
The hornady 230+p is an updated bullet design. The lead alloy is much harder than what they use in the standard pressure 230 or 200 grain loads. Our department issues this +p load because of its ability to hold together after going through all kinds of barriers...windshields, auto doors, walls, ect. Outside of a department discount you can get these for about $15 a box down here in alabama. I think we pay around $11 or $12 a box. Our hardball ammo cost us more than that.
Thank You for all the hard work you did on these test. I appreciate it very much.

Great comparison. I've got it narrowed down to the ranger-t and the hst +p, which one do you think performs better and why?
What happened with the gold dots? Thanks.

is it just me or does 45 ACP seem to have more consistent performance over a greater number of cartridges than some of the other loads available?
