Why the hell are they lip-syncing (and yes they are)? Their whole 'thing' is that they are fantastic live! Maybe one of them had a cold, or the producers didn't want it live.

Unfortunately with all the posers making it big, the common presumption is that if a band can play well live, they MUST be lip-synching. But don't forget that Hanson has always broken the sterotype, defied the odds, and kept to their own standards.

Also, if you want to be really nitpicky... Zac goes slightly off on the first "you SAY you love me too", which didn't happen on the studio track.

If Hanson walked away from their record label in order to be true musicians, there's no way they would stoop to lip-synching. These guys have been doing music their whole lives, so if you think their live performance is up to par to the studio version, it's most likely because they've spent a LOT of time perfecting how to play their instruments and nail their vocals at the same time.

wow.. i'm a hanson fan.. but ZAC and the BAND are so lipsinking! You can tell how weird they seem about singing (tay and ike) chorus in their body language (ike closes his eyes) (tay oddly looks at the camera) PROOF -this sounds just like the original, and at 7:57 when zac screams GO the power in the go is not with his lipsinking. I've never known or know of a hanson performance that they lipsink.. so this is kind of odd.. does anyone agree with me? reply back. thanks.

Yes, they were lip syncing. But you basically have to on tv shows because of the way the studio is set up. Otherwise it would sound awful! If you've ever really heard a live performance on a tv show, it was probably either really horrible, or they had a really good setup. It's not necessarily the band's fault.

sometimes performers just have to lipsych for technological reasons and stuff- obviously in Hanson's case it's not at ALL because they can't do it live :) It's just this was probably a very small show with a very small budget, so they didn't have the means to get mics and all that. I'm not really sure what the deal was. but whatever it was, it was probably just for technological reasons!

yeah can't say i've studied the album version - but i do remember an awards event in Europe where both hanson and Texas were being "difficult" demanding either actual voice mics or instruments (since its normal to just dub it all in Europe) maybe they go instrments this time (to drums are too exact)
