First of all, to get this work you need to run Messenger service on windows (NOT RELATED WITH MSN MESSENGER), the messenger service is disabled by default since Windows XP SP2. that's why you can't send messages or are not received, so go to MIPC "left click", manage, then services, enable and run messenger service then make your tests and record a new video. the name of the computer and network group is in MIPC "left click" properties. sorry about my english, my native language is spanish.

There are way to find the user names of the pc and the pc name...but unless your school has what I have: Windows Server 2003, well your pretty much screwed because it's just Windows Classic without the ability to right-click or check computer info.

you can send a message with the username, but it has to be a valid username, you can view my find computers is a netwrok video to see how to find all the computers and all the users on your network in a few seconds.

@ZONDAE101 u just need to go to my computer, then go on back back back, then there u'll have list of all the computer, it'll usually be like this - roomname and computer number

@ZONDAE101 Most high schools dont have individual usernames, they are saved on the server. Do you have acess to the server?

@ZONDAE101 Right-click Computer (My Computer on older machines) -> Properties -> Advanced System Settings (skipped on older machines) -> First tab, the full computer name will be written there. If you know this you can also do all sorts of pranks with Remote Desktop Connection or Remote Shutdown.
