Those dumb parents who are like this will regret this decision their entire life! You people try to understand your own children better. @shahjee273 But mostly the problem lies with both marriage partners. As long as they can`t trust each other fully and be like a team it will never work. It is better to have equality in a stable relationship. If you think that women should take care of the household and all the other chores after working then it is your fault if you guys break up. Mostly the break-ups come from taking everything as a given and not showing any affections at all or through small misunderstandings

@ArjunRuiWho U have some good points. In Marriage , unless both R not equal partner in respecting each other wishes, its become a ones sided affairs. In the east women has to take most of the Burden and victom of the circumstances, While in the west mostly Women dominate her agenda. Marriages should not be Forced on the Couple , but building a concenses for longivity of the relationship is most Important.There should be some compatiablity also to the extended Family.

Of course you should get your Family`s consent for the marriage. Mostly elders can look through people. Of course we have an Asian culture true to tht, but nowadays it is hard to live on just one income. Even women need to work, without them we would have to face demographic catastrophies. So you guys could share the work at home ;)

what a performance! even though it's not in Punjabi.... sridevi is just remarkable!!... to see just how good she is, there's a video in the related videos section called "Wanjli walereya" (from the original Punjabi movie), if you see the actress in that and then watch sridevi, you will see just how perfectly sri emulates the role of a punjabi woman.... this is what makes her a spectacular actress and way ahead of her contemporaries

@Juggernautishere what does Islam have to do with this video? forced marriages have been a part of south asian history for centuries and you can't blame an entire religion for this kind of behaviour. besides, forcing someone to marry against their own wish is against Islamic teaching so i don't know what your problem is. please take your religious intolerance elsewhere, it's not relevant here.

excellent scene... she really looks like a Punjaban... it would have been better if this wasn't in hindi/urdu, but it doesn't matter.... my personal favourite is the Punjabi version of Heer Ranjha which was released in Pakistan back in 1970...the only thing that's good about this version is that it has sridevi in it, otherwise i would never have watched it

Here is what really happened and Pak has already filmed the movie at least 3 times. Last time it was filmed on Firdous and Ejaz and Ajmal paid the superb role of Kedo. Waris Shah was himself in love with Bagh Bhari (Heer). The old codger was refused by Heer's dad. She was a saintly woman and not interested in teh affairs of the heart. The rest is imagination by Waris Shah. Her moslium is in Jhang Pakistan where she is still reveered as a Godly woman.

Great upload Hali. No words for Sridevi. I am speechless both by her beauty and acting. I got CD for Heer Ranjha alongwith some 10 more Sridevi movies during this trip to India. Coulld not find regional ones and a lot more old Hindi movies of Sri that I shall try in my next trip. I am also trying some sites suggested by you for DVDs.

Omg I love the story of Heer Ranjha. It's just as tragic as Laila Majnoon, another tragic love story which I love sooooooo much. Omg Sridevi is sooooooo excellent as Heer, who's supossed to be amazingly beautiful. Sridevi is excellent for this role. Please Hali, tell me the year this movie released. I want to buy it. Hope it's available in my country. AMAZING upload. Obviously 5 stars and added to my favs.
