I don't think it's bad for people to make money just not as much as they do. It's only necessary for them so they defend people who are just like them. No I don't want to be them. Oh and also to Writer01603, I do feel like there is a gun to my head when all the competition has been squashed and my only choice of drug stores is either Wal Mart, Target, Longs, Rite Aide, or Walgreens. Not one family owned drugstore or market within 45 miles of my home..Only Lowe's, or Home Depot for hardware.....I knew this was coming in the 70's..It started then, with multi-million dollar salaries and outsourcing...greed and hedonism a symptom and a cause!

You claim the burden of mom and pop, but never for the consumer who can't afford the high prices of mom and pop, over the discount prices of Targets or Wal-Mart. The cheap drugs. I'll explain it to you. Without any harsh words. The people that open wal-mart never put a gun to your head demanding you go to their store. You make them rich. The more money they make the more stores they open the more cheap products people have access to and more jobs people have access to (96 percent of wal-mart employees have some health insurance).

Wealth is earned, its stolen by the government. They do not exploit you, they help you and they let you save money.

Dear Writer01603, I explained that to you in my post and now you are replying as if you are telling me something. And I didn't make them rich, because I am smart enough not to. I don't shop there, or Home Depot etc..but it is getting harder and harder (almost impossible) to find mom and pop owned businesses..not even coffee shops or bookstores..all big franchise chains..So don't respond by telling me what I was trying to tell you. the difference is in the quality of the labor not the quantity. see in china there are a lot of people being employed, and yet we consider our living conditions better because of health insurance and human rights issues etc. the problem lies with getting rid of 4 workers who do more, but are paid 12-20$ an hour for 8 workers who make 6-10$. an hour. no matter what there will always be minimum wage employers but it is only a minimum, quality and performance can be improved with wage not famine

No, I have not read any books on finance, but due to the nature of my comment I don't think I need to. The very fact that people want the rich to have less money proves they care about it in the first place, and thus it is not just the rich who are greedy, but us as well, because we have an unnatural interest in financial position.
