  • Is it just me or does this sound incredibly fake.

  • funky

  • awesome =]

  • This is the next thing I'm learning on my bass!

  • you've got the tone nailed. nice playing too

  • damn bro, you nailed it pretty good. There was i little slippage on some grace notes but hey, a hell of a reording. Two thumbs up to you sir!

  • great tone

  • oh shit! what kinda bass is that? (brand)

  • Soooooooooo funky!!!

  • dude that was amazing! would you mind sending me/telling me where you learned that?

  • ok i know you get this alot... but can u give me the tabs cuz my dad wants me to learn it so i can get a new bass!!

  • your shirt is unusually stretched out XD

  • That's damn impressive! I have yet to meet the bassist in person who could actually play that!

  • this is the best seinfeld cover ive ever heard, a lot better than his last one

  • best ive heard

  • Wow, this is really good!!!

  • Nice job!

  • I heard that when they played this in the seinfeld series, they didnt use a bass. They used a synthesizer and immitated the bass slap sound.

  • Not sure... At that time I reaaally doubt you could have a synth that had such a sound. Just last year they released the "trilian", that has some awesome basses, including the slap one.

  • OMFG YOUR AWESOME

  • shit i just started learning this song. its soooooooooooooooooooooooooo hard

  • what effectsss???????

    :D

  • wow, its sounds like the real theme! ur amazing! :O

  • aww SEXY!!!!

  • Sounds beast!

  • sweet... that makes me wanna learn how to play! :)

  • well you win the "challenge"

  • This kid is doing a good job and the first thing that "franticsphen" see is the t-shirt???

    Damn!.

  • thanks for this!!!

  • Great job! :D

  • thats incredible :D i may buy a bass now just coz i watched this

  • Comment removed

  • tabs?

  • fuckin well done

  • whats up with your shirt

  • @franticsphen thats what you got out of this vid haha

  • @franticsphen now thats a neck hole

  • i like guitars better because i like older music but now a days the role of the bass player has grown substancialy

  • not really, it's more popular then it was but it still isn't center stage and it never will be. A bass player is there to accent drum beats and accent the more bassy of the guitar players notes. Plus you don't hear a lead bass part or even solo that often. Sure if you listen to Primus you will but seriously famous or "popular" bands you won't. Tool doesn't count.

  • best ive heard

  • tab please! =(

  • that is AWESOME!!

  • tab please :D

  • You really rocked it, my little brother started playing this song on his bass.

  • I Hate Slapping on those basses there's like no room to pop except were u r and thats not very good anyways

  • Comment removed

  • i enjoyed that, you killed it.

  • The neck of the bass looks very small, almost to the point of it being confined and uncomfortable.

  • You'd be suprised buddy. The neck on these things are among some of the BEST I've ever tried, and most people who've played the Yamaha RBX-270j's tend to agree

  • @mattnessfreshness I agree :D Our school owns two and they feel soooo good compared to the other three basses that they own (A Sammick, and two ashtons)

  • @RandomAwe my school only own 1 crappy one

  • @monologuh nah man, my school has one of them in the music room and for a 400 dollar bass, it's freakin good! perfect for slapping and popping... it doesn't deserve to be cheap :P

  • the amp simulators are Bullshit man , i got one , always frizzy noisy spaghetti sound , better bypass........ your groove is cool ^_^

    ciao

  • Very very good. Youre a tribute to the show!

  • you are amazing

  • how do you get that tone?

  • at the time I was running through a sansamp sim, with just a bit of overdrive.

  • best iv seen yet, tab please! =D

  • YOUR COLLAR IS STRETCHED OUT!!!

  • lmao, i didn't even notice that until I read your comment.

  • this is fucking sexy

  • wow a 24 fret bass

  • wow? not that uncommon to find...

  • how did you get that seinfeld tone? cause its right on as well lol

  • i need tips on slapping and popping

i just started on playing the bass

plz help me i want to be good like you plz help

    T_T

  • well basically you slap (that means hit, not strum - very important) low strings with the hard part of your thumb, where the joint is. it's also important that you move your hand only in wrist. do not move your thumb. after slapping the low string you pull a high string up with one of the remaining fingers, usually index or middle. basically this is it, you just need lots of practice. once again, SLAP the string, do not fingerpick. it's a very common mistake people do. hope this was helpful.

  • thnx

  • theres no tricks to slapping and popping, just slap with your thumb and pop hard with your fingers, for 90% of people it won't work at first or it'll sound muted and they'll try to figure out why, if this happens to you dont blame your amp or bass just trust me and practise it'll come with time.

  • Best cover of this I've seen on Youtube.

  • My jazz band actually played this song, and i got to play the bass on it. Should try to find the video of it to show you, I did it almost flawlessly!

  • love seinfeld and bass so this is awesome haha

    good job........

  • hey is that an yamaha

  • Indeed....'tis a Yamaha RBX-270j, now with SD Basslines Pickups

  • is it good

  • Very good...probably the best thing yamaha have ever made. Great neck, sound and build quality, especially for the price.

  • Can you please give the tabs for the intro?I can't get it anywhere.

  • the best seinfeld cover on youtube for sure, good job

  • so much better than the one that has 100k views

  • sweet.

  • Dude that is amazing!!! i am definetely learning that now that i have been inspired. thanks for the vid and great job

  • Fantastic! Great job :)

  • Giddy Up!

  • Flawless! Def the best iv seen.

  • AWESOME

  • where did you get the tab for this??

  • Google...

  • how do you play slap? i have a fender jazz precision bass (same as Geddy lee :D) and i cannot for the life od me figure out how to play slap. also, could you make tabs for this??

  • Wow dude, really really well done. Sounds exactly like the recording. Best version on YouTube.

  • Can you post a version without the original theme that you're playing along to? Would love to hear it clean, by itself. Other than that, good work mate.

  • that's a pretty thin fretboard

  • damm

  • You're very talented, but you must be really ugly if you keep hiding your face.

  • AAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • Mad Skilllzzzz.

    lol

  • how do you slap so cleanly..

  • YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this is awesome

    crazy skilllsssss

  • cool! good job

  • can you post the tab? i get kind of lost on where the second part of the riff begins

  • u reamed that other guy who posted the dare

  • Why aren't you black?

  • looks like you won the dare :)

  • THIS IS FUCKING AMAZING HAHAHAAHAHAH! i am actually inspired enough to buy a bass just to be able to learn this hahahahahaah WOOOOO!

  • Great job dude! I would like to know one thing though, where did you get the backing track to playing along with? If you still have it, can you put it up for download? Message me back! Thanks!

  • Hey dude...Cheers for the comment! The backing track is just the normal seinfeld theme song with the bass part already in it, you should be able to download it somewhere. I got a copy of it ages ago so I can't recall where i got it from in the first place. Sorry man

  • The best fifty eight seconds of my life.

  • Actually, the dodgy audio aside, this is a pretty good job.

  • dude how long have you been playing and how did you learn that?

  • Money back number two.

  • sweet

  • dawg that's the shit right there!

  • guitar pro that shit!

  • tone/bass questionable choice but otherwise f-ing sick

  • great job

  • Best one on Youtube.

  • Hate those RBX's.

They sound to metally... and i allways get my 1st finger stuck in the hole for the truss rod when I pop...

    Good cover though..

  • awesome i only knew like 10 seconds of it. this should help me learn

  • Agreed with Punky619619. The sound could have been way better if you used the line-in or microphone-in of your pc. This one sounds like you put a headphone next to a microphone

  • Fucking critics.

  • there's a reason behind critique and it doesn't involve hurting a person's feelings

  • the only cover i've seen on youtube thats actaully on time and not rushed

  • a tip put the bass cable in the mic inout in youre pc an record this with audacity an mix this with the vid file than is the sound better

my english isnt so good im from germany

  • Awesome dude!!

  • This bass is nice. Doesn't have as much fret buzz as your other one in the last video> But you're great! WHat kind of bass is this and the other one?

  • this one is a Yamaha RBX

  • I liked your old bass better though.

Can you tell me where to find the actual MP3 file of the Seinfeld Theme?

  • can i have the tabs to this theme plz if not just tell me were you found them!! PLZ

  • my god thats too fkn cool.... im a guitarist but i wanna learn how to play this on bass haha you sound sick man

  • tabs r gay!!!

u ppl jus figure it out on ur own!!!

not that im a gud bass player but still they are gaYY!!

  • Hey Milkshake guy,

you're dead right mate...that's what i've been trying to tell everyone. I Learnt this by ear, not tabs.

  • stuff man, u defs won the bass challenge.

  • tab please?!?!

  • Figure it out for yourself like many real musicians did by listening to the song and pointing out the notes instead of being a lazy ass and badgering the poor guy for "tabs".

  • wht is the big deal about asking for tabs? what if unexperienced people want to learn his version and cant work it out for themselves like me.

  • i agree with you bendunstan, some people cant work out the music. i can work out a lot of stuff, and i worked out this, but i wasn't sure on some of it so i found the tabs and correctied my mistakes. you shouldn't rely on tabs, but they are very useful.

  • Well if they can't figure out the notes, then they are probably too inexperienced to be playing the song anyway.

  • Yo you kick ass man go seinfeld

  • people are beggin

    tab this!!
