Finger strength has a lot to do w/ speed. especially w/ the left hand if you're looking for fast legato runs., my practice routine is a lot different from where it was when i made this video. My style has changed a bit since then, BUT i still love to play quick legato licks. Practicing on 1 string down a major or minor scale would be good for that. 3 notes at a time ascending and descending as you switch from using your 2nd finger and 3rd finger. -Hammers/Pulloffs...Good work out!
Wow. Pretty impressive. How's the DK2M for shredding? Would it need a pickup change for melodic like shredding? Should I just look at Ibanezes if that is what I'm after,
Thanks, yeah, this guitar has a fast neck-made for shredding with that smooth maple wood and i don't think a pickup change would be needed for that style but if you are going after an Ibanez already then you should go with that first.
