vienna is fantastic, but so is berlin! i don't think he did it right when he went. not trying to say one city is better than the other, they're both amazing and i just wish he had given berlin the chance he seems to be giving vienna. why does anthony seem so reluctant to give german speaking places some love??

It's fun to watch a food video about a food that you have actually eaten. I was in Vienna last spring and I ate exactly the same looking Sacher Torte and coffee, funny to see Anthony eating the same kind of meal.

I really do love Anthony and all the things he's done,but sometimes all the arch whingeing about Europe gets irritating.He'll cram down any disgusting organ-meat melange in a rubbish ridden dump of a country gleefully and chortle about the beauty of the land and people...etc.But,take him to an incredible place like Wien and he snarks like a spoiled teenager.Having been to Osterreich,it really is one of the most amazing places on earth!Civilized,gorgeous,punct­ual,clean,polite and Wunderbar!

I think the point of the show is that he was prepaired to be arch and whinging and bad behaviored in general towards Wien and Austrian culture, but the place turned him around, very much despite himself. Then again...it might have been the Jagershots...

@honeybadger81 Yeah,I realized once he'd proceeded to the next segment he'd begun to succumb to Austrian charm like a woozy infant.Gemutlichkeit is hard to resist! Having grown up on yearly trips to the coasts of France with his family,I guess he's more jaded then some of us...and that Romanian episode was traumatic,not to mention the Cold War obsessed vision that was the Russian one,ditto Germany ,etc.(Got nervous too early about this one,sorry!)Cheers and thanks!
