Jason you and Keith are the best. I just started a Chicago tribute band and just love you guys in the band..... Seen you about 20 times in the last 10 years. I turned my wife into a hugh fan which is saying something since she grew up on R&B and likes Willie Nelson also.....Go Figure. Will be seeing you again in May when you back to NJ. Keep up the great work.
You guys are GREAT!!! Chicago is my all time favorite band!!! I saw you guys, in concert (late 80's to early 90's), in Kansas City!!! Chicago and the Beach Boys!!
You have the best horn section of any band, ever!!!
When are you coming to Oklahoma City? Played several of your songs at my wedding!!
Listen to Chicago live in 1974 and then listen to these 2 guys in the later years after Cetera left. You tell me if its good. There is no rational explanation why they picked these 2 masters of CHEESE
I don't care what anyone says about the "Good ole days." I think Jason fills in quite well for Peter and Keith can play that guitar every bit as good as Terry. Chicago is still as great as ever. To all you naysayers: What do you expect? Cetera left the band and Kath died. Get over it and let's get on with the new.
You guys rock! My friend and I are going to be at the Mountain winery on the 29th! We're counting down...3 days, 6 hours-we can't wait. This will be my 5th time seeing Chicago, 3rd row baby!
Jason!!! Next time you come to San Antonio Texas...I want some backstage tickets!!!! I love your music with chicago and solo!!!!! I'm one of your friends on myspace.~~~~~
I have seen Chicago three times. I met Jason Scheff, Keith Howland, Walter Parizater, and Tris Inboden. I got a pick from Keith Howland and an autographed drumstick from Tris Inbode.
You got signatures on your 17 LP? I wish mine had some. I'd actually prefer V, though. V is my favorite Chicago album, and pretty much my favorite album bar none. V is PERFECT.
Jason and Keith, this is soooo cute! You 2 look like 2 naughty boys. Right now I'm listening to the song 'Now' by you Jason and I love what you do Keith in 'Thinking of you'. Will those (solo)songs ever be released in Europe? You both ROCK!
Jason, I still see your baby face in you...and Keith, you look just like the boy next door!
Anyway, I think it's great that you did this and share it with us. We'll wait for you guys and Robert Lamm next time. Thanks, and see you in Woodinville in a couple of weeks; I'm counting days!
You're wrong my dear, I play bass and Peter's bass playing was exceptional on the first 10 albums. Go back and listen to Chicago V. His ideas and his feel especially were fantastic. Jason is also an excellent player, more of a technician than Peter was but that is only one factor in evaluating someone's playing abilities. The chemestry between Peter, Terry, and Danny can never be replaced, I don't care who you put in the band.
Once again, I think it's a matter of preference. Please also note that Jason has had the burden of always being compared to Peter Cetera. That has to get old after a while, but Jason has still done it and always shows a lot of class about it.
And phooey to that person who gave me a negative rating.
Saw my first concert ever last night, in Concord, CA. Not only my first Chicago concert, but my first concert period!
My expectations were high, but you guys blew my expectations away! So many highlights that I wasn't expecting to see, and never thought I would.
Without filling up the page with a list of those highlights, I just want to say that Keith Howland & Jason Scheff brought down the house, and I loved the way Mr. Scheff & the band got the crowd involved in "Just You N Me."
Remember it is that supple lighting that makes your complexions look great. Keith has got a haircut since this video, Jason let the hair grow a little. Glad you are here. Looking forward to more videos.
Hey Jason, why don't you start a prank series using your mac w/camera. Might be some pretty funny stuff. I'll leave the door wide open on that. -Rhett
XXX is awesome indeed... particularly the 2nd half of the album. Here's hoping they keep it up!
And the two guys in this video are probably the biggest reasons Chicago is still hard at it today, yet are totally underappreciated by old Chicago fans.
That's so NOT true! I'm an 'old' Chicago fan from the start and was there when they did 1st concert in Holland in 1969, but I also saw them perform in 1998 with Jason and Keith in A'dam and I was blown away by the talent those 2 guys have! I love them both! They rock!

If you got an autographed drumstick, you probably should be able to spell his last name, eh? Imboden.
Mattbluhalofan 4 years ago
Yes, he spelled it Imboden on the drumstick. I appreciate the spellcheck, EH. Tris, Jason, Walt, and Keith also signed my Chicago 17 LP - EH?

(spitting out water), get real. Cetera was a decent songwriter, but Jason's a better bass player and a heck of a better showman that Cetera EVER was!
Jason's the bassist Chicago SHOULD have had in 1967, but I think he was like 6 at that time. :).
MyNameIsMissyS 4 years ago
ok, then should we just erase "if you leave me now" and the other songs cetera wrote from chicago? get real.
rhoadskid88 4 years ago 2
We all have our taste preferences. Usually during "If You Leave Me Now" I go for my liquor run during a show.....
MyNameIsMissyS 4 years ago
Likewise. Don't get me wrong, I'm an enormous Chicago fan, it's all I ever listen to these days, but I hate the ballads.
