@mjt708 i can help you with that, ok the clap, isnt like taking a breath, its more like a short suck in. so while youre humming and you wanna do the clap. continue humming and then do the clap quickly and continue humming, if you time it right even if it stops, you wont be able to tell cause you do it fast, and the sound covers up the pause. like everythin beatboxing requires practice, you cant be a jaxster in just five minutes hahaha hope i helped

Well, I figured out the humming, but as it turns out, I breathe in and out whilst performing the mouth noises, which is, of course, highly inconvenient.

Well you know in those movies like 'Grease' where the cool guys always do the 'gun hands' at them an the *click click* noise with their mouth? Its almost like that. I usually have my tongue sucked to the roof of my mouth. Keep it nice and flat. Now one of the back sides of your tongue off the top of your mouth. It should either click or clap. It depends on how you position your open cheek. Hope this helped. If not message me and I'll make a longer one or maybe my first vid lol.
