WOW there is a lot of ignorance going on in these comments. First of all, all of these vehicles are painted in green camouflage, which is most certainly NOT urban cammo. Secondly I can tell you for sure that they are either coming from, or going to the National Training Center Ft. Irwin in California. Last we *DO* indeed sometimes use green vehicles in the desert, when I deployed to Afghanistan our m1128 Stryker ICVs were painted green because we didn't have time to change the color.

We just pulled our troops and equipment out of Iraq. The vehicles had to go somewhere. It looked to me like those were Bradley Fighting Vehicles, and some big transporters of some type. Believe it or not, this is the most cost effective way to move them.
As a former Army officer, I would say that I think the video shows a couple battalions of Bradleys and associated support equipment - not tanks. This is how we went to the National Training Center at Fort Irwin - by train as the cheapest.
Part of the problem in this nation is how naive 90% of the population is to what our military is, does, and how it is shaped - by both those who serve and the equipment which is used. One would think that since the US spends a preponderance of its budget on Nat'l Def, (which is more than just military spending) the public would spend a little time learning what the military is/does. These are BFVs and several cars of fueling tankers, probably enroute to NTC at Ft. Irwin. Look up the acronyms!

WOW there is a lot of ignorance going on in these comments. First of all, all of these vehicles are painted in green camouflage, which is most certainly NOT urban cammo. Secondly I can tell you for sure that they are either coming from, or going to the National Training Center Ft. Irwin in California. Last we *DO* indeed sometimes use green vehicles in the desert, when I deployed to Afghanistan our m1128 Stryker ICVs were painted green because we didn't have time to change the color.

We just pulled our troops and equipment out of Iraq. The vehicles had to go somewhere. It looked to me like those were Bradley Fighting Vehicles, and some big transporters of some type. Believe it or not, this is the most cost effective way to move them.

As a former Army officer, I would say that I think the video shows a couple battalions of Bradleys and associated support equipment - not tanks. This is how we went to the National Training Center at Fort Irwin - by train as the cheapest.

Part of the problem in this nation is how naive 90% of the population is to what our military is, does, and how it is shaped - by both those who serve and the equipment which is used. One would think that since the US spends a preponderance of its budget on Nat'l Def, (which is more than just military spending) the public would spend a little time learning what the military is/does. These are BFVs and several cars of fueling tankers, probably enroute to NTC at Ft. Irwin. Look up the acronyms!

im pretty sure 1:27 are mobile ICBM launchers. And not fuel tankers which sit up higher. Mobile ICMB launchers usually have low cab forward designs so they can be put into bunkers or maybe even plans or cargo ships.

@rouldph 1) It's woodland camo. 2) This isn't a large train shipment. 3) Military vehicles are moved all the time by train across the country because it's cheaper and more practical than driving them. Which direction was the train going? These vehicles were likely just being painted after service overseas and transported back to their units. Conspiracy theorists amuse me endlessly.
