  • liberace was a pioneer of tv camera "tricks" he got the biggest kick out of doing things new and different

  • Effortless.

  • i remembered my father while watching him.

  • was he ever so adorable? And a great pianist too. I loved him no matter what he did. And I'd love to have his wardrobe LOL

  • Does that smile ever leave his face? o.O Why was I not born back then?

  • THEE, ultimate virtuoso ! & a brilliant pianist to boot !!!

A very sad loss to humanity when he died !!!

  • I love how when he plays the last note, his hands fly up, and he gives a huge smile :)

  • This is a wonderful old black and white clip.

  • That was pretty good.

  • His smile fills me with laughter and joy, and at the same time makes me afraid for my virginity.

  • Not only was Liberace a wonderful piano player and entertainer but a fantastic showman full of personality & pizzazz.

  • haha that was me with the dislike lol didnt mean it haha

  • Amazing talent!!!! Very polite to the audience and didn't swear!

  • Imagine all the people who put their kids in piano lessons after seeing this :)

  • @KadeshLeMort Imagine all the people who gave up their piano lessons after this!

  • you can really see how he loved to play. I always wanted to see him live but never got the chance except his tv show was the closest I got.

  • How... just how was he soooooo good?

  • This was a rather gay (jolly) performance

  • @safapresley IF not gay (homosexual) Not that there's anything wrong with that. :)

Isn't this the theme for "I Like Chinese" by Monte Python?

  • Incomparable.

  • Well KarrotKun1, we had a bunch of musical variety shows over the last few decades, besides just Lawrence Welk (who, by the way, had some top-notch musicians!) However, the Networks, in all their grand wisdom, tell us that nobody wants to see that anymore. Really!? I guess we'd rather have an absolute glut of reality shows instead???????? No thanks!

I say, "Bring back the music!!!!!"

  • @jwcasciato so true! people rather dry their brains out watching Jersey Shore than listening to good music like this and not drying their brains out

  • Like in radio films and every thing else Advertisers won't support it.

  • incredible speed like bugatti step by Jezek

  • When Liberace appeared on The Muppet Show, Jim Henson remarked that he was a truly delightful man... but a "surprisingly bad pianist".

I can only assume he was being facetious.

  • He makes it look so easy. Inspiring

  • BEST VERSION~!!!!

  • My heart breaks, when I see the drivel on tv. today,

When they could show LIBERACE ! the GREATEST ....!

  • There is only one Liberace & I don't believe there will be another. thanks for posting!!

  • damn what a great pianist

  • This is great,i cannot get over his talent

  • That's pretty damn funny, man.

  • Truly, a beautiful and stunning artist!!

  • Абсолютно непересічна особистість!!! Зрозуміло, що у людини абсолютний музичний слух, але стільки складних композицій тримати в голові!!! Шкода, що розійшлися у часі, і на пострадянському просторі Ліберечі практично невідомий.

  • 1:58 ... So funny:)

  • Why don't they have stuff like this on television anymore? :/

  • ide love to see that happen! But Who?

  • @KarrotKun1 simply because the world is mesmerized by ROCK N' ROLL.

  • @KarrotKun1 Because Audience Tastes have changed.................. for the better, well thats another story! He was a talent for sure

  • @KarrotKun1 'cuz things change and the world and all it's people leave you behind if ya don't move along with it. Don't forget about the things you love, just don't get stuck there.

  • @KarrotKun1: (1) Because audiences would rather watch cleverly edited programs of people being jerks to one another and believe that it's "reality", and (2) there was only *ONE* LIBERACE!!!!

  • @KarrotKun1 Detroit public tv has stuff like this all the time. You might be able to find a channel similar in your area. c:

  • @KarrotKun1 i know right people would be so musch sociable

  • What a virtuoso !!!

    Liberace reminds me of Elvis, in some ways;

Beneath all the glitz & glamour, there was a unique talent, - a 'one off ' so to speak.

His(their) likes will never again be seen, (unfortunately).

  • the people with the talent are out there, just they would rather waste time on someone with no talent and make a quick buck!

  • @huughjarse I wasn't really impressed with Elvis because he just used black music and put some rock and roll in it. Meh.

  • @guitarboy543

Elvis was a victim of circumstance, - but I

    - Listen to ' Declan 0' Rourke ' - ' Galileo '

    - you might sigh, and then cry....

    - Take care.....

  • @huughjarse i totally agree with you

  • Liebe-race was probably the best candelabra pianist ever, but I still prefer Carmen Cavallaro's performance of this piece. Thank you for sharing.

  • He was an amazing pianist.

  • For some reason some of the shots remind me of top of the pops...

  • OMG

  • Charming at the piano.... very strange every where else. :P

  • beautiful, just beautiful. oh, and wasn't liberace gay?

  • by the look of things so where the violinists...er yeah... ...

  • Fantastic player!!!!!! Perla.

  • Wow! this was fabulous! I had posted a couple guitar version with Chet Atkins, but was totally unaware that it was a piano piece!

    Thanks for posting this classic!

  • a pioneer of the "music video"

  • What A Camera Man!

  • This is awesome!

    He was a Gem!

Don't look away, or you will miss his wink to you!

I love the Baldwin! Every Baldwin that I ever played from this period was amazing! The concert grands were to die for!

Love the Split Screens! That was very high-tech back then!

Thanks so much for posting this!

    Brent

  • fun! I have never played it that fast! Again, thanks for posting these.
