Well KarrotKun1, we had a bunch of musical variety shows over the last few decades, besides just Lawrence Welk (who, by the way, had some top-notch musicians!) However, the Networks, in all their grand wisdom, tell us that nobody wants to see that anymore. Really!? I guess we'd rather have an absolute glut of reality shows instead???????? No thanks!
Абсолютно непересічна особистість!!! Зрозуміло, що у людини абсолютний музичний слух, але стільки складних композицій тримати в голові!!! Шкода, що розійшлися у часі, і на пострадянському просторі Ліберечі практично невідомий.
@KarrotKun1 'cuz things change and the world and all it's people leave you behind if ya don't move along with it. Don't forget about the things you love, just don't get stuck there.
@KarrotKun1: (1) Because audiences would rather watch cleverly edited programs of people being jerks to one another and believe that it's "reality", and (2) there was only *ONE* LIBERACE!!!!
liberace was a pioneer of tv camera "tricks" he got the biggest kick out of doing things new and different

When Liberace appeared on The Muppet Show, Jim Henson remarked that he was a truly delightful man... but a "surprisingly bad pianist".
I can only assume he was being facetious.

What a virtuoso !!!
Liberace reminds me of Elvis, in some ways;
Beneath all the glitz & glamour, there was a unique talent, - a 'one off ' so to speak.
His(their) likes will never again be seen, (unfortunately).
huughjarse 2 years ago 10
the people with the talent are out there, just they would rather waste time on someone with no talent and make a quick buck!

@huughjarse I wasn't really impressed with Elvis because he just used black music and put some rock and roll in it. Meh.
