Drop the 1993 rhetoric! Complaint of a government take-over reflects sheer ignorance -- the government is deep into in health care now -- Medicare, insurance regulation, the VA and Medicaid extend health care to most Americans. The bill you voted against added people with pre-existing conditions, low incomes and no employment related insurance. You have gold-plated health insurance at public expense. Don't you think at least basic health care should be available to all of your constituents?

28th Amendment: Congress shall make no law prohibiting an individual (or business owned or co-owned by an individual) from contracting with any physician or other provider of goods or services in the medical professions. Congress shall enforce the contract at a cost of 5% of the agreed fee of the contract payable by each party in gold or silver or notes backed by gold or silver. The Congress is expressly prohibited from funding or regulating any form of medical care for any reason whatsoever.
