  • My mom is 70, eats meat, dairy, drinks and smokes and she looks younger than this guy. She also has no diseases, bone mineral loss or fake teeth. The only time she was in hospital was for a C-section when she had me. It's all genetics people. PLUS, I assume this man is wealthy, that will keep anyone looking young. No stress.

  • @Tosteriffic I definitely look better before starting raw- and I don't eat much raw, especially now during the Winter. I feel better, too. Genetics have an effect, but lifestyle is huge too! :)

Also, your comment almost suggests that smoking doesn't affect health :p

  • I love you like I love song baby

  • This man is honest. Unlike others in the raw food BUSINESS.

  • You don't look a day past 20!

  • You look so healthy

  • You better not be eating raw cashews, it's poisonous. They need to be cooked to get rid of the poisons. Some food can be eaten raw some food cannot.

  • Rice is a natural food though. It is not like he is eating a 20oz porterhouse. Rice should be considered a raw food depending on its preparation. Beans too.

  • Fruit is bad for you, honestly it made me sick, gave me severe adrenal fatigue. I dont eat any sugar now and feel great. I eat meat, fish, nuts, oats, avocado, spinach, kale, broccoli, yoghurt I tell you what this is definitely best iv ever felt

  • @JDO970 What were you eating the fruit with? if you eat it after animal products, it can cause digestive issues because it has a faster rate of digestion.

  • @JDO9700

Works for you and that is great! Some of us love fruit. Everyone has their own preference.

  • Hey, Thanks for this video. I am 100% raw and so are my two children (in great health : ). My 3.5y old daughter recently expressed interest to eat some cooked food as her friends do. My wife and I spoke about it and told her that if she wants she can start with one cooked food every day (Not Fast food, but steamed veggie or so). I was a bit concern that this way of eating may compromise her perfect health, but she still prefers raw food and usually by choice rejects cooked foods.

    Good Video :)

  • I guess I´m just trying to say that children should never even think about food. They should just eat everything and focus on life and having fun. That´s true health. Wish you the best.

  • you have a point!

I also think that healthy children are able to enjoy life more fully. And if they really need the experience of being sick there is always time for this ;)

Not to hide it, but much of the raw food is a lot of fun . . .

  • I find this so interesting, and it´s always a good thing to raise your kids to eat healthy. I´m sure your son did make this decision to go raw himself, butstill imo children sense intuitivly what is wanted from them and they like to please their parents. Children are so vulnerable really. Fixation around food is so sad, I´m not saying that you are fixated with food, but the western world in general is like that. I miss the days when there was no option but to eat healthy.

  • there was probably something in the food that he was craving, possibly fat.

  • Intresting video, and good! Are you a teacher and are u homeschooling your kids yourself? =)

  • I so enjoy your videos. They are wonderful!

  • Hitler youth

  • @RefugeeInExile

That comment is so uncalled for, I cant even begin to tell you how idiotic you sound.

  • @rainbeau54 hahaha lighten up mate it's Christmas , im glad you cant begin to tell me that means i'll never hear it. I mean come on they're all blonde and German and health nuts how could you not find that funny, or is my Eric Cartman humour too much, Happy New Year

  • You know, your kid didn't feel right after cooked food, because his digestion has slowed down and he's not used to making the right enzymes. So it's not the food that's bad, it's your son's health that can't take it. I know you mean well and I know the feeling, I've done the raw vegan diet too. But this ain't right. I hope you come to your senses and start nourishing your kids with both plant and animal foods, and both cooked and raw food. We are not cows.

  • @Avondzonnetje he repeats several times that he lets his children make decisions for themselves.

  • How would you have responded if your son wanted to eat meat? Would you have expressed disapproval?

    Great vid by the way.

  • holy shit dude you are 55?, you look crazy young but a bit weird but being555 would explain that!, big props for living a healthy

  • @sgtheadhole really he's 55?? where did you read this?

  • @mashaishaaaa Hey guys, I am not 55, but 37....

  • Here's an idea. Those people who find this distasteful in some way...hmm what do I do when I don't like something?? Don't watch it! I am not a raw foodist but I appreciate the viewpoint and sharing the experience you've had with your family. Thanks.

  • ugly

  • @justinmyt consuming veggies and fruits, for example, makes one's skin supple and radiant. try drinking a glass of vegetable and fruit juice, freshly squeezed every morning. just once a day. it also helps with your digestion and vowels. so naturally, your skin gets beautiful. i am talking about adding a glass of freshly squeezed juice even if you have any normal cooked food diet. imagine that. you will truly see the difference in two weeks.

  • He looks good for 55 years old.

  • Read about your veda. Dude, the things that colapse your sistem are frieds, dairy, meat. Rice and boiled or steam food do not cause any harm. But when you are fasting (eating raw is like fasting) you have to come with something not that heavy. Vegan was always otpimum, but vegan market is full of crap. Come on, soy meat is just crap. But legumes, potatos, rice, in its natural state and coocked just by boiling it is just right. See why starches are better asimilated when they are boiled.

  • @irlumir saying "soy meat is crap" is like saying "cornflakes are crap" after trying a cheap brand. There are different tastes depending on the brand.

  • @TheRushingWind nop. Is because the manufatured process. To extract "soy meat" from the bean where it actually comes they applied some nasty products. In fact they soy meat was something the industrie do not know what to do, remember that the industry make soy oil for breading the meat industry and the soy meat was residue of that production. So they put in on a bag add some flavor and taran soy meat was created. It do not matter how it taste, you can actually make shit taste good if you want

  • @irlumir soy meat was referred to - not soy.

  • i want to be exactly like you when i grow up. You look so young like your 20!

  • great video, thanks for posting this! :)

  • @justinmyt I also noticed that they're total assholes. Coincidence? I think not.

  • Ahh they speak english words!! so young !

  • entzueckend!!!! keep it on! blessings!

  • kids are amazing :D

  • Are you following the 80/10/10 diet? He wouldn't get cravings if he ate enough and had enough water.

  • Your kids are so lucky.

  • I have been doing spiritual self-clearing work for about 3 years with great results. As soon as I started flushing in the morning with blue green algae tea I almost immediately notice waking up with NO negative critical thoughts. This means to me that the liver is finally getting a good toxin flush (the liver being the seat of negative emotions when toxic, besides the mind-matter). Am shifting over to a raw food diet, first with BGA and coconut oil and heirloom chocolate, stevia, sea salt

  • You wont cook a tomato to make sauce?

  • Dearest darlingest Ka,

I love how you whisper the name of your show before and after the video. It's so relaxing. Anyway, I am just 16 but would absolutely love to go raw. I don't even like cooked food anymore, quite honestly. I am ready to go raw. How would you suggest I go about this? Like, how should I balance my diet & get all my nutrients?

  • I have lived a cooked food lifestyle my whole life, I'm 23 now, and when I was about 17 yrs old I had mentioned to my father that I was interested in the raw food lifestyle. He got angry at me for even talking about it, he was closed minded on the subject. So recently I have rediscovered this raw food lifestyle, and when I have my career, I will go raw.

  • i would love to know how yourself would react to cooked food . as you have had the experience of llife and understand how you feel. if you could perhaps experiment with this and get back to us with a new video

  • I think the kid would have puked instantly if he ate Burger King or KFC, not like this guy would have done that.

  • Nice to see how flexible and open You are with Your Kids, awesome!!!!!!

  • This man means well, but it takes him too long to make his point. Did raw cause this?

  • You are living in Thailand? Because it was to hard to stay healthy on raw in Germany's climate, right?

  • @neopogos We have lived in Thailnd and now we live in Costa Rica (please check newest videos!)

Yeah as rawfoodists it just makes more sense to live where ur food comes from.

--- Wanna eat fruits? Eat local and go tropic...! --- LOL

  • @rawfoodfamilylife what is the cost of living compared to europe? how complicated is the process with customs, laws etc.. do you need to prove income? job? etc..

  • @rawfoodfamilylife Raw foods cured my Cancer! Doctors want us to be sick, so we can live off pharmaceutical drugs! Society is so brainwashed, Great Vid!

  • The rofl family?

  • @justinmyt I tried a raw diet for a week and my skin got better than it ever had with any type of product I had ever used. My skin was less puffy, it got tighter, most of my pimples went away, my pores shrunk, and my color started to even out. In one week

  • Well, not to be a gamestopper, but how often has your son heard from you that raw food is much better than cooked food, and when he ate cooked food, did he not feel your expectations?

I'm pretty much doing raw food for most of the time myself, and I adore your attitude, but this whole argument you mentioned about raw foodists' bodies becoming "pure" and unable to process cooked food... HUUUGE RED FLAG here! It's supposed to make you stronger, not more frail!

For me, it's MORE raw, never ONLY.

  • @betlamed sooo you's say that people who work in a nail salon and don't get headaches from the nail polish and acetone are stronger because they've gotten used to the chemicals? jus' sayin

  • @foosbeast I'm saying there are two possible scenarios - one, that the body gives up and doesn't show any more symptoms while still being poisoned; the other, that the body has stopped producing some chemicals it needs in order to process some foods. Since nutrition is a wide field and unexplored in many areas, we shouldn't jump to one conclusion or the other. And also, there is an awful lot of extremism, purism and irrationality going on among raw foodists, so staying alert is a good thing.

  • @betlamed I definitely agree with you there, I just still think that getting sick from foods you didn't to is a sign that you're generally in better health even though it seems counterintuitive. Just to bring up another example, people who smoke for the first time often get sick from it and then they keep doing it, and they get used to it. Most cooked food can be really addictive like a drug, so we can learn to get used to it, but it's not necessarily the healthiest

  • @foosbeast Salt, fat, and sugar are basically addictive. And we need all of them.

When I drink my fruit smoothie, I get an incredible sugar high - much moreso than from an ice cream. So I'm not quite sure just how "healthy" a fruit diet would really be in the long run. I'm sure it can be addictive, too.

And every time I tried to do "green smoothies", I always got the worst heartburns ever - so does that mean that they're unhealthy?

    It's all mighty ambivalent.

  • @betlamed hmmm thats weird. Im suprised that u got heartburns after a green smoothie. I've been on green smoothie diet and I have been perfectly fine. Eating green smoothies should actually cure ppl with acid problems and should definitely not cause heart burns. Whats in ur green smoothies?

  • @nukleur had to start with very small teaspoon of BlueGreenAlgae at first or else tummy roiled and rolled, LOL! Digestive tract was totally set up for digesting meats and getting re-trained to work with a more alkaline inner terrain. I think also if one has parasites, they might also protest the change until they decide to leave or transmute. Gradients and transition are the operating concepts here :-)

  • @foosbeast And I'm pretty sure we also agree that there is a HUGE bit of salesmanship going on around the whole raw food idea. Flawed logic, just plain wrong assertions, dogmatism. Just look at Dan "liferegenerator" McDonald. You think he'll ever admit that raw food might have disadvantages? I don't think so.

That's one more reason why I'm very, very wary about claims advertising one specific diet.

  • @betlamed I agree, and would never have gone off meats if I had better access to non-toxic beef, chicken, fish, etc. Would like to incorporate steak tartars into diet, but not with the meats that are sold in market today Still eat some raw fish (sashimi style) when can insure good quality. Also advocate some stir fry veggies or fermented veggies occasionally. Also, my spiritual clearing work has gotten a boost from this diet transition.

  • @foosbeast My own conclusion from this is never to wholly settle on one single philosophy of nutrition. So while I will do a lot of raw fruits and smoothies, I'll always eat cooked food and a little meat, too. You know, place a few more bets just to make sure. I figure that, since live expectation in my overcivilized country has been constantly rising for decades, we cannot have been THAT wrong, altogether...

  • @betlamed As a being moves up vibrationally he has less tolerance, both body and spirit, for lower vibrational foods. His perceptics are heightened. He is stronger, just look at him, body and mind :-)

Great that the children are given free access to data and taught how to think for themselves :-)

  • wow! that's the whole story? lol!

  • Uh, could be that it was restaurant food. But then, Thai food is so good, and i dont see their restaurants cutting corners the way ours seem to have to in North America.

  • there is something so real about you. I can tell you have really good energy even thru tv. I like watching videos like this makes me think.

  • could have been from the gluten or processed flour in the noodles....

and he's a really awesome guy

  • could have been from the gluten or processed flour in the noodles....

  • what a blessing...

  • Very interesting, thank you :-)

  • könntest du mal etwas auf deutsch posten? das wäre echt super...

  • r they eating raw meat? cuz i hear its bad for u if its not cooked

  • @demonkidz1

Raw food diets are almost always vegan.

  • love you!!!

  • Your honest presentation of your experience underlines truth and the awareness and love that your children and your family have is food for inspiration for others.

  • thank you for your honesty, it helps to share information never knowing if someone else will feel that way about eating reg. food.

  • thankyou for sharing so honestly. It is a very interesting story and very helpfull.

  • to regenerate. On a conventional diet the body is sleepy and confused. It doesen t react in the way it should. It just cumulates toxins, poisons, fats trin' to stay alive. The amazing thing is that some people can still walk at 70 or 80 years after a life of cooked foods and junk food....that s the miracle.

  • Let me tell u something i think it s important... When a body is pure and detoxified is not "so vulnerable" towards toxins and is not correct to say that it doesn t tolerate toxins. When a body is clean it is sensitive about everything in a way that can t be described. Sensitivity is strenght. When u eat toxins a clean body tells u immediately that u got stuff that nothing has to share with life and creates immediately that thing that s called illness: the amazing way of nature

  • Have you ever considered that Benny may simply want to please you as opposed to actually not wanting any more cooked food? Children are highly tuned into what pleases and displeases their parents. It will be interesting to see how your children choose to eat when they grow up and are at university or on their own.

  • Wish more fathers were as committed to leading and caring for their families as you are!!

  • I sat through this. i still don't get it? Do you believe that the hydrochloric acid in your stomach is not cooking the food?

i just think its fine to eat raw but i think it is disinformation to say that cooking food is unhealthy. There are a whole spectrum of possible outcomes from cooking and raw. anyway i usually just take a gander in the fat peoples grocery carts and stay away from that stuff.

  • 100% raw cashews are toxic. They need to be roasted.

  • is that hair dye you used raw? no... therefore, youre not organic

  • @wordey123 people with light eyebrows, have naturally tinting hair in the sun.

  • gorgeous kids : D

  • I think yall over exaggerating

  • 4:40 bom bom bom bom. lolo

  • the fact that most peoples "alarms" dont go off because they eat these foods all the time... is not a good thing. your body stops warning you that it is being poisoned.

  • Fascinating story...earlobe by the way if someone else didn't chime in.

Cashews are not raw because they have to be steamed open.

  • I am a guy myself , but that boy is beautiful!

  • Hello,

Thanks for the video, why are cashews not considered raw?

  • I have a question. If raw foods detox ones body, then shouldn't the body be stronger and more than able to handle a little rice or spagatti? It seems all those open, healthy ports would be waiting to cleanse the body after years of healthy eating. Could he be lacking nutrients?

  • @Curiousafterall actually, it is because your body is much stronger that it works out much faster in putting out the "garbage" you take in, otherwise it would keep all toxic substances stored in your tissues, which eventually could turn into tumors or any other thing... not having a reaction does not mean being strong, having a reaction right away is a sign of a healthy defense mechanism (good balance of nutrients in a clean and healthy body).

  • I did not see how rude my comment was until I read it today.

I ment no harm please forgive me.

just in a hurry and did not think before I sent it.

  • @rawfoodfamilylife You are so very sweet to answer my questions.

I thank you for your kind responce. I have truly wondered for years about tatoos and

    there effect on the body.

i reaized how my question could hav ebeen taken as being rude after I reread it today. I truly meant no harm. Just in a hurry and not thinking before I wrote.

    Please forgive me .

  • I have a question please?

if you are so natural why do you have a tatoo?

is that not toxic to the body?

  • I loved this video. So positive & uplifting. I also believe in letting children decide for themselves as you did. I did the same thing with my son 22yrs ago, and it worked just as beautifully! Great job you are doing with your children :))

  • What would you do if he asked for a steak? :-)

Congratulations on raising such healthy independent children-

and letting them decide for themselves.. They are adorable!! I was wondering what blood type you all are.

The lower part of the ear is called the earlobe. :-)

  • @rawfoodfamilylife Would he eat fruits and vegetables if that was the only thing available to him?

  • I have severe reactions when I take a little bit of cooked food - fever, muscle pains, headache... and I am only for last 6 months on 98% raw food! Strange your history!

  • I love that you let your children decide for themselves!

  • I don't react much when breaking a long period of raw, if it's just the occational meal. However, if I keep eating cooked food - several meals, days in a row - I start feeling fatigued, heavy, clogged in throat , more unstable in mood etc. One also notice how thirsty you get after eating cooked food.

  • @LoveSaraJade Refuse him food at all? How dare he refuse food being provided for him. Its food or nothing. And when I say food, I mean raw vegetables and fruit.

  • @GodIsCallingYouToHim How dare he? Excuse me? Who do you think you are.. you don't even know anything about my child to be so judgmental.

  • bravo for your great parenting skills.

  • Good job. I plan to raise my kids in much the same manner. Definitely worked for my parents with me and my siblings. Let your children learn through their own experience.

  • you have such a beautifull soul! great dad !love your videos ....

  • Yes I agree. We can't force them. My daughter is very adamant about she will and won't eat. She is not 100% raw and I can't force her. If I had known about this before she began eating it would have been a lot easier. But this is her path. I add and make as much raw food as I can for her. Eg I make raw sauces for her pasta. I am going to try her with a zucchini pasta tomorrow. We need to remember "our children are not our children only life's longing for itself". Khalil Gibran Blissings n luv

  • you have such an awesome and positive vibe that when I watch your videos, it pours into my room and I can feel the energy

  • @asklyar r u high and tripping? vibe and energy going into ur room? u r so fucking stoned

  • Wonderful video! I'm very moved by the respect you showed your child. Thanks.

  • Hi!! It's great you let them experiment eating what they see others eat too. I'm about to become a mother and I have to remember this when my child asks me to eat meat. I'm not a raw foodie but I'd like to have a more healthy diet during pregnancy but I'm afraid about bacteria infection. Also the hunger is bigger and you need a lot of nutrients living in cold dark Finland. Could your wife make a video to tell how she ate during pregnancy? best wishes for your sunny and beautiful familly!!

  • It is awesome that you let your children make their own choices. I am happy for you and your family.

  • You're amazing parents!!! I wish all parents had this type of trust with their kids..and your kids are very good kids too.

  • I loved the example you shared of the way you and your wife are parenting. It seems so loving and beautiful.

  • Yeah, I think a lot of raw fooders strongly exaggerates how they would react to cooked food.

I laughed out loud when David Wolfe said that he would not be able to eat one bite out of a pizza since he was so used to water rich foods. As if he never had any dehydrated dishes in all those years.

Yes, you will be more sensitive after a while on raw food, but it's not like cooked food would kill you or even make you seriously ill.

  • you and katie are so wonderful with your children. thanks so much for sharing this with everyone! :)

  • Beautiful!!! Thank You for sharing this story with us Ka! <3

  • Great story. Thanks for sharing it with us.

  • Fantastic I know from my experience the purer you make your diet the less desire you have for certain cooked foods.

Lately I have been just craving raw foods. It's all a learning experience. Your body will guide you if you really want to.

  • I'm a raw foodie too, and last night I ate some spaghetti. I got really sick and still don't feel sparky. Its strange that, how the body becomes so pure that it has such reactions to cooked food and toxins that before was so normal. Its a pity most people don't realize how wonderful it feels to be raw

  • Thank you very much for shering this experience. ;0)

    Peace.

  • Do youhave any suggestion for books on parenting that way?

  • The Continuum Concept by Jean Liedloff ;)

  • you are a good father:)

  • nice one :)

  • Es ist so großartig wie Ihr mit Euren Kindern umgeht. Sie sind sooo gesegnet mit Eltern wie Euch! Blessed kids!!

  • Die kinder sind so zus (sweet; sp?). Die siehen aus vie du. lol
