Acanthosis Nigricans is a primarily a hormone issue, but strongly implicit in Diabetes and Obesity....if losing the weight hasnt helped and if your blood sugar is normal I suggest you check out hormones ;D I came off the contraceptive pill and its just recently starting to clear itself up for me...

I have acanthosis nigricans a large dark ring on the neck but the doctors ran labs 3 times and my blood sugar is normal...why is this happening then?

My doctors did the same thing. My blood sugar is also normal but i have a huge ring around my neck and similiar darkness on the crease my forearms......they arent even 100% sure of what is going on

Doctors should be testing the INSULIN levels NOT sugar - this is totally different from a glucose test.
