Im american and I have no clue why so many people drink this stuff. I turned 21 last year and I ran down to the nearest liquer store to get myself a can of bud as soon as I could. As soon as I took a sip, my immediate reaction was "so this is what ive been waiting for?" Along with coors, this actually had me convinced that I didn't even like beer. As far as cheap Lager goes, I'd rather drink PBR, though if I had to choose between a craft Lager and a big-named lager, I'd obviously go toward the Craft Lager.

I prefer something like Samuel Adams or Sierra Nevada, but I still don't understand why Budweiser is so ridiculed. I understand why it's not popular to craft beer enthusiasts, but then again, a craft beer enthusiast or someone who prefers microbrews shouldn't bother drinking or reviewing Budweiser. It's not meant to please that crowd. Every beer has its place, just like you wouldn't drink a stout when it's 90+ degrees outside.

Not sure what it is like in America but it is not horrible in the UK. It's hardly great but it certainly has some taste.
I would put it on the same level as Stella or Carlsberg - nothing special, but good enogh when you just want to have a few beers while watching a movie in the evening.

Why do people hate budweiser? It's not really bear, it's made from rice anyway, I think. The matter of fact it, it tastes nice, but is not a traditional bear, people only hate the American image of it, and if you wan't "reall" budweiser, then drink the origonal Check bear, Budwieser budvar. But wieser is a unique alcoholic drink, I like it's mild nutty flavour, and I don't care if it's made from rice, or is asociated with being american, it tastes good to me, and that's all that matters.

I actually agree with this review. I started out drinking Budweiser when I was younger. I never really did defend it, I just said that I liked it. If others dont like it..I understand. I certainly would never say that this is what beer should taste like! I only drink it these days when i'm low on money and want a buzz. My preferred beer is actually Guinness! I fuckin LOVE Guinness! But, there are much better and flavorful beers in the world than Bud! I hope people realize that!
You need to review National Bohemian beer. its basically only in Maryland in the states. used to be brewed in Baltimore now its brewed in North Carolina. definitely worth a review.
The worst adjunct in beer of all time for me is corn the flavor makes it taste like creamed corn especially Bud light. rice i brew my own beer and enjoy it since you can dry the hell out of you beer since rice is Fully ferment-able and does not provide any flavor if you ever tried pretty much any japanese beer a lot of them are really dry and crisp which i am Partial to On a really hot day heavier beers just will make you feel shitty but i do agree on corn is a SHITTY adjunct for beers

@RobotFragMan I wouldn't say they are meant for women. They are generally just made as a summer refresher, but I think a woman who doesn't like beer might find a lime beer interesting because most examples don't really taste anything like beer at all.

Well the Canadian version of Budweiser is much better than our (Americans) version. Meaning that Labatt is actually drinkable, and Bud....Well is Bud. Not a fan, much prefer anything really.

I've been drinking beer for more years than you've been alive, vaperstreet, and believe me, Bud is the king of only one thing.....advertising! Period! Bud is by no means "the king of beers"! My mother bought me a crate of bud as a present. I put on a smile and said thanks, but what a disappointment. I'm an ale drinker. I've been drinking a lot of local ales recently, from the Tomos Watkin brewery and the Rhymney brewery (both Welsh breweries). Cwrw Braf from Tomos Watkin has a gold medal in the International Beer Awards. Bud is now like water to me. Terrible. Takes me back to a rugby tour I went on in Canada where I drank vast amounts of Molsons which is a similar taste I think.

Craft breweries are forced to pay a lot more in order to just brew quality beers. Big macro companies cut costs and brew time by cutting corners, making bland products. Not sure what it is like in America but it is not horrible in the UK. It's hardly great but it certainly has some taste.
I would put it on the same level as Stella or Carlsberg - nothing special, but good enogh when you just want to have a few beers while watching a movie in the evening.

People comment about my food tasting like "plastic" yet most these people are eithe smokers and or enjoy realy spicy food with lots of cilantro in it. I personaly quite like this beer, it hase a nice flavour. there are beers I do not like, but I simply don't drink them. I really think that people don't actualy, "diss like" it, I think there mearly hate the immage. I bet if it were a british bear, people would say how good it is. They should bring out more bears made of rice, or experiment with some other grain, there could be a whole world of undescovered beuties out there. If this is what rice tastes like, I would lieke to see some others.

Why do people hate budweiser? It's not really bear, it's made from rice anyway, I think. The matter of fact it, it tastes nice, but is not a traditional bear, people only hate the American image of it, and if you wan't "reall" budweiser, then drink the origonal Check bear, Budwieser budvar. But wieser is a unique alcoholic drink, I like it's mild nutty flavour, and I don't care if it's made from rice, or is asociated with being american, it tastes good to me, and that's all that matters.

American Adjunct Lagers are made to be subtle, smooth and drinkable.Unlike more complex beers, errors in brewing are instantly noticeable, requiring extreme consistency and diligence by the brewmaster. My favorite beer, no, but excellent for the style.

I actually agree with this review. I started out drinking Budweiser when I was younger. I never really did defend it, I just said that I liked it. If others dont like it..I understand. I certainly would never say that this is what beer should taste like! I only drink it these days when i'm low on money and want a buzz. My preferred beer is actually Guinness! I fuckin LOVE Guinness! But, there are much better and flavorful beers in the world than Bud! I hope people realize that!

The worst adjunct in beer of all time for me is corn the flavor makes it taste like creamed corn especially Bud light. rice i brew my own beer and enjoy it since you can dry the hell out of you beer since rice is Fully ferment-able and does not provide any flavor if you ever tried pretty much any japanese beer a lot of them are really dry and crisp which i am Partial to On a really hot day heavier beers just will make you feel shitty but i do agree on corn is a SHITTY adjunct for beers

@RobotFragMan I wouldn't say they are meant for women. They are generally just made as a summer refresher, but I think a woman who doesn't like beer might find a lime beer interesting because most examples don't really taste anything like beer at all.

Everyone has different opinions about beer. I love Budweiser, but saying "fuck you" to people who enjoy Budweiser is a disgrace. They pick up a case because that's what they're parents drink, that's what they've heard of, and that's what's cheap and available. My mother bought me a crate of bud as a present. I put on a smile and said thanks, but what a disappointment. I'm an ale drinker. I've been drinking a lot of local ales recently, from the Tomos Watkin brewery and the Rhymney brewery (both Welsh breweries). Cwrw Braf from Tomos Watkin has a gold medal in the International Beer Awards. Bud is now like water to me. Terrible. Takes me back to a rugby tour I went on in Canada where I drank vast amounts of Molsons which is a similar taste I think.

Craft breweries are forced to pay a lot more in order to just brew quality beers. Big macro companies cut costs and brew time by cutting corners, making bland products. Craft breweries provide far more quality and options, for only a little bit more money...unless you're buying the budget beers that macros also produce, and why the hell would you?:)
