i have curly hair can someone please HELP!!! I NEED TO KNOW WHAT ORDER TO PUT MY HAIR PRODUCTS IN PLEASE! i usually start with a mousse in damp hair i run it through so it looks straight then i put a serum again run it through and it looks straight! THEN i start scrunching after i put a curl perfercting spray and lastly i put a heat protectant and i blow dry with a diffuser! is that the right way of doing it? please help! thank you! :)
@TheWebkinzMagic if you're using the right products, you won't need to use as many. the shea moisture curl line for shampoo and their shea mask conditioner are great, or the devacurl line of no poo and one condition. then, all you need is a good water soluble gel and your hair will be perfect i promise. just section your hair and run the gel through and scrunch it with gel in your hands and then let it air dry
@TheWebkinzMagic I'd put the serum in before the mousse... generally you want to put the moisturizer (serum) on before your gel or mousse so that it will be soaking into your hair instead of the gel or mousse, which you really just kind of want on the surface of your hair
@ohmygollygarsh thank you for replying! i just kinda switched my rountine and i am liking it a lot more so first i put mousse so it looks straight then i start scrunching than i put a curl spray and then i put a oil and i scrunch it again then put my heat protectant and blow dry my hair with a diffuser! i like that but im gonna try to put my oil before mousse and see how that works i never do it because i always thought that i should put oil at the end
@ohmygollygarsh because it would be the last thing at will be softer if it is the first thing but i will try that and tell you how it works! thanks! :)
@TheWebkinzMagic Ok sounds great. Also, I agree with what heidishoshana said to you... in the long run, you don't need a moisturizer, but you'll need one now if your hair is damaged. I use the Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie and it's really good. Also, just for the record... you probably don't wanna be using the products in this video... I just researched the ingredients and they are full of sulfates and silicones and grossness that will just damage curly hair.
@ohmygollygarsh oh but ive tried that gel and a bunch of others and i hate how it makes my hair very flat and sticky and crunchy so i much rather have mousse and yeah i dont use any of the products here i use rusk mouse and i use tresseme heat tamer spray and macadamia natural oil healing oil treatment and for curl spray i use marc anthnony strictly curls curl booster spray are those products good?
The model's finished hair is gorgeous! Although John Frieda products work (your hair won't be frizzy), they're not very moisturizing. They're loaded with silicones, which creates a barrier around the hair shaft preventing moisture (humidity) from reaching the hair. This is how frizz is prevented. Unfortunately, these same silicones also prevent hair, especially curly hair which is naturally dry, from receiving the moisture it so desperately needs.
@DutchMaureen If you have naturally curlry hair and depending on your curl pattern you can. I don't use John Frieda products, but my hair has perfect ringlets.
@mldavis79 I have got the perfect ringlets for this look. My hair is a just as big and just as curly, but even if I put high quality products in it, it is still a little frizzy (some hairs are out of place). The model at the end looks like she has perfect, smooth, straight hair that has been curled (no frizz at all, not even a little). But come to think of it, that's probably because the hair dresser is very talented. :)
Nope i have curly hair and i use diffuser with john freida products and have perfect spiral curls. Of course not everyone is going to have the models results because everyone is different. Just because your hair doesnt have spiral curls doesnt mean they use some kind of tool to achieve the look. Smh
@suzan698 yes! :D i have 3 of there products and they realy works! I have natural curls en with these products they look so much better! (: try the shampoo, that's the best of John Frieda!
Yeah, it was pretty obvious they used an iron to get such uniform curls but on bad/dry days, my hair looks exactly like her "before" hair, so maybe there's some hope afterall.
I have wavy really long hair and I just bought the dream curls spray, I am super excited to revive my wilting waves! But is there an explanation to why my hair looses its wavy-ness despite gently using a towel to collect the water?
I love John Frieda products and these videos! Keep them coming :)
