This airline is absolutely disgusting. They don't care about their customers, and they care less for their employees. The management is greedy, ungrateful and I would say incompetent accept they actually geniuses by using ch.11 to extract brutal pay cuts and work rule changes in order to give themselves millions of dollars in bonuses.
Unfortunately, I agree with you! What the NWA employees have gone through is dispicable! May NWA find a good merger partner, because what they have left is assets, nothing else!
Seoul Incheon wasn't opened until 2001. So you're wrong. They flew to Seoul Gimpo. Do you know if they flew to Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport
no i don't think that nwa flew to manila back in the days. but now they do it for sure, they fly from manila to Detroit, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Nagoya-Centrair and Tokyo-Narita
Thanks! I also remember watching a NWA commercial with a catchy theme song "Person to Person." when I was a kid. The company was called "Northwest Orient" then. I wonder if anybody has it and can upload it.
Flying to the Orient won't be the same without NORTHWEST ORIENT AIRLINES.

Dear All,
I have some questions about sociology and psychology:
(1) Why do we love flying and being in the sky?
(2) How does aviation benefits our daily life and our society?
(2) Why do we have impression that flying relates closely to the lifestyle of Americans & Americans' culture? Is that falying is about freedom?
(4) In our opinion, what will aeroplanes look like in the coming 30 years later?
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)

I always thought this was a very good ad, effectively communicating:
a. the excitement of modern air travel
b. the excitement of modern life and travel in Asia
c. Northwest's reliability and experience in bringing Asians and Americans together.

Actually Manila has been a part of NW's route network ever since they began gracing the Pacific skies 60 years ago. ;)
