Nay, friend...Now and forever, it will be an underground game that will never be commercially mainstream...

It's an Indie Japanese bullet-hell, and it will remain so even after ZUN's death...He just needs to find the right successor...

@MugenOverlord The only for that to even happen is when Square Enix (parent company of ZUN's former employer, Taito,) vows a worldwide distribution of Touhou.

This explains why Reimu is in Graffiti Kingdom and one of the earlier Touhou BGM's was named after a Taito game, The Legend of Kage.
