Some great bands for people who are new to it (and interested in learning more about it) are Matenrou Opera, DELUHI, D, D'espairsRay, Dali, NEGA, the Fool, Golden Bomber, An Cafe.. The band where I think Misschevious drew inspiration from is called Nightmare (specifically the band member Hitsugi).

love the look, might wear it to uni tomorrow :D - see when you put pigment on top of the lipstick... how do u get it to stick?? whenever I do it (and I've tried it a lot - both with pressed & loose powder) it doesn't stick.. it just changes to a gloopy mess on the brush (or my finger) can you help? thanks, love all ur vids :D xxx

If u get the brush wet before u put the black on it makes the black wayy darker but don't get the brush too wet I just get it damp and it works amazingly luv the vidz though

Nice tutorial! I especially love the lips :) As for the visual kei part, there are no specific guidelines for how the look is done exactly, other than that it's more flamboyant. It's just a concept of emphasizing the visual aspect of the band. Even then, there's a wide range of more toned down looks (i.e. the GazettE) to more extreme looks (i.e. Versailles). Actually, her eyes and lips are quite similar to that of Hitsugi and Kisaki respectively.

And I don't see why this is not visual. In Japan the term "visual kei" is used for everything stylish and conspicuous. It does not matter if the style is punk, hardrock, metal, glam, rave... it is all visual kei in japan.

There are no set specifics or rules on how it should be done. If you search you will find everyone has their own way of achieving certain styles. This is her interpretation and her visual (kei)style. I personally find it very lovely.
